Excellent Condo

Perfect spot for a weekend getaway or family vacation. This condo was just what our family was looking for. The unit is upstairs at the far end of the property. It is opposite end from the pool, but it made it a nice quiet stay while still just a short walk to the Comal River, the property pool and right across the street from Schlitterbahn. Thank you!

Family vacation

Perfect location for a family vacation! We walked right over to the Schlitterbahn and were close enough to come back for naps and lunch! Watched the tubers in the evening for past on the river! Very relaxing and perfect for family!

disappointing

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The major problem that we encountered was a pool that was closed most of our stay. The pool water level was extremely low and there were leaves and bugs in the pool. We reported this to the rental agency, and were told that it was being cleaned and would open up in several hours. There was never any evidence that it was being cleaned and it never opened until Sunday morning when we left. Also, the TV was not easy to control - we keot getting "no signal". Again the agency could not help and we finally figured out.

We are so deeply sorry about the pool not being available for your stay. Unfortunately, the Home Owner's Association has all of the keys and is in charge of cleanings and pool maintenance. We placed many phone calls to the HOA on Friday, July 27th, once we received word that the pool was closed and were repeatedly told by the HOA that it would be opened that afternoon. Our office is open on the weekends and since we hadn't received any further phone calls, we believed the situation to be resolved. Unfortunately at check-out on Sunday, people were reporting the pool to still be closed, so we again called the HOA letting them know the situation was never taken care of. We greatly apologize for any inconvenience & unfortunately did not have a way to open the pool without the HOA.

Steep stairs

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I am only describing the reasons why we didn’t give 5 stars. Good for ppl traveling without small children or senior citizens. We understood that there were stairs inside the home, so we rented a condo with a 1/2 bath downstairs. What we didn’t realize was how steep the stairs were outside to get up to the room, and that inside is another set of very steep stairs. My parents who are senior citizens traveled with us, and my mom wound up not being able to leave the room after we got her upstairs the first day. We did reach out to management to ask if we would be permitted to use the electric chair that was on the stairs outside. They responded and said they would check with the HOA, but then never got back to us. One of the three beds was comfortable enough to sleep in and only the master bedroom has a TV. There is a water stain on the ceiling in the dining room as well. This room is also the furthest room from the pool and river entrance.

Absolutely love staying at this complex. Location is key.

This property is outstanding. Easy to check in and easy to communicate with the property management. We had left a cellphone behind and they were able to locate the cellphone and overnighted it to us. Would definitely book with this property again!

The entrance is on the second level the unit is two stories so keep that in mind if stairs are an issue for you. 2 bed, 2 bath upstairs and living, kitchen and half bath downstairs. Location is perfect for getting around town. River City Resorts was a pleasure to book through.

Great Choice!

I am so glad that we chose this property. It was very clean and well designed. An added bonus is that we were on the end, so we only had neighbors on one side. The neighbors are very nice and will give you local tips and pointers on the area; they also gave us farm fresh eggs. Here’s how to float: Pre-purchase your tubes from a place such as Academy Sports and Outdoors, or contact River Run tube rentals and have them deliver the tubes to you. Take your tubes about half a block to the stairs on the northwest side of W Lincoln Street bridge (you’ll have to cross the street to the Schlitterbaun side and head away from Schlitterbaun). Float the river for about 39 minutes to the Camp Warneke entrance, or to the general last exit entrance. The only concern that may be associated with this location is that it is located right next to the Rockin’ R exit. It was not in operation during our stay in October, but it may be an issue in the summer. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay. The app made our stay an ease as well.

Home of the tiniest bathroom sink!! Lol

Beautiful condo! Nice and quiet. Perfect location right across the street from Schlitterbahn. Beds were comfortable. Beautiful pool and hot tub. The hospitality app from River City Resorts was awesome- made for super easy check in and location of information. Air conditioner ran great- kept us nice and cool. This condo is an end unit, located on the second floor, so it’s a walk to the trash bins and pool. Loved the rocking chairs on the balcony! No television in the second bedroom, which made those occupants sad. Only issue we had was the ceiling rained in the dining room when you showered in the second bathroom. Property management promptly addressed the problem as soon as we called, and even brought us a blanket for the pull out couch. They said the ac and shower drain lines all ran together, so suggested turning off the a/c, and showering one at a time, to try and pinpoint the problem. Unfortunately that did not fix the problem, so we were not able to use the shower in the second bathroom, but we still thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It looks like there’s been an ongoing problem in that bathroom, as there were a lot of water stains on the ceiling when we arrived. It was a minor inconvenience, but not enough to ruin our stay.

Perfect Location for our river getaway

Great location, loved the view and access to both the river and Schlitterbahn. We walked to most amenities including dinner one night about a 15-20 min walk to downtown. Floating the river was so easy and we loved having the private access to get out at! We will be back!

The location was perfect, short walk from the river exit, which made walking in wet suits doable. Schlitterbahn is across the street, not a bad walk to the entrance. The condo has a nice pool, was a bit of a walk since the condo is on the very end, but not bad. Enjoyed our stay!
