The charm of Driftwood extends beyond its scenic location. Positioned on the expansive Big Arbor Vitae Lake, a paradise for anglers, the home ensures a cozy retreat with all the essentials. Whether you prefer casting a line off the pier or exploring the 1000+ acre lake by boat, the options are abundant. The property is surrounded by approximately 85% state-owned land, enhancing the natural serenity. For relaxation, the home provides a sun porch, perfect for unwinding with a good book or engaging in a game of Yahtzee.

Safety is a priority, with two cameras at the back of the property for the well-being of both owners and renters. Notably, there are no cameras within the rental spaces.

It's essential to be aware that in mid-October, the piers will be removed for the winter and will be reinstalled before Memorial Weekend unless a late lake thaw affects the schedule.

Gorgeous property, beautiful lake. Home was gorgeous and equipped with everything you need, very clean, Management was very attentive to any needs or questions in a timely manner. I can’t say enough wonderful things about driftwood branch.

Enjoyed our stay, excellent rental

My husband and I brought our young kids here for 3 night. Everyting was perfect. I really appreciated how clean and neat the house was, it made it feel so comfortable and inviting. The beds were comfortable and the bedding and furniture was very clean and not overly used feeling. The screened in porch was a nice place to relax in the evenings and early morning. It was so nice that the kids bedroom had toys and things to occupy them. That was a nice bonus. The location of the house was perfect and within 10 minutes of everything we wanted to do. It was nice to be able to walk right into the backyard to fish. The lake is no suitable for swimming but it was nice for fishing. The only thing I would have liked to have had would be a washer/dryer on the property. Even so, we'd def stay again. My family loved it, thanks for the memories !

Extremely Disappointing

I tried rectifying this with Anchor Rentals, the property management company, before posting this review but didn't have any luck. We feel really bad for the owner, nice place with a nice remodel but Anchor isn't representing them well at all. We showed up at 4:00 pm but had not received a code from Anchor Rentals. When we called to ask for the code, their auto attendant phone system's mailbox was full. Messages were sent to Anchor Rentals and VRBO. Half-hour later, thinking we were going to need to return home or find a hotel, we tracked down a neighbor who sent a text to the owner. The owner called back a little after 5:00 and gave us a code only to find the house had not been cleaned from the last renters! She too had not been able to get in contact with Anchor. We cleaned the kitchen ourselves for dinner and finally received a call from the Anchor who promised a cleaner would be there within the hour. Nearly two hours later the cleaner showed up and didn't leave until 8:30. Once the cleaner left we realized the a/c wasn't working and there was only one towel. Anchor gave us the owner's code for the basement for towels and said they would check on the a/c. Unfortunately, only two windows were able to be opened and the a/c was never fixed making the house extremely uncomfortable. Talking with the management company we agreed on a 50% refund of our trip cost but they shorted us $114.31. Anchor still hasn't followed up on the different.

Great Location! Clean Large House

The house was spotless as other reviewers indicated. The view of the lake from the screened in porch was amazing! The kids liked fishing off the dock. We all had enough space in the house to do our own thing and be together. It did get a little hot in the house in the afternoons with the setting sun, but it wasn't too bad.

Best place i could have asked for!

This was 100% the best stay vacation my family and i have ever had. The cabin was not only absolutely stunning but it was so clean and had every amenity u could have asked for! Kate was so fast with responses and so kind we are forever grateful that u shared ur home with us!

Fantastic House, Wonderful Hosts!

We had such a great trip to Arbor Vitae and loved the house! Everything was perfectly cleaned, comfortable and beautiful. The beds were fantastic and we slept so well. We loved playing games in the large yard, swimming off the pier in the beautiful lake and cooking in the spacious kitchen. Everything we needed was there. Our favorite part was watching gorgeous sunsets from the great screened-in porch - perfect endings to fun days. The house is a short drive to gas stations, restaurants, and downtown Minocqua, but located on a quiet street where we enjoyed peaceful nights. The hosts were wonderful and responded very quickly to any inquiries both before and during our stay, even sending us local boat rental info we were searching for. They are exactly the type of hosts you always hope to have! Highly recommend this house for a great family get away! We will be back for sure!

Great stays

We stayed at Kates properties and loved them. All the cabins were clean and had all the essentials PLUS more. The beds and bedding were so comfortable I took pictures of them so I can get my own! Kate was ALWAYS quick to reply to questions and requests! This host went above and beyond for our family stay!

Ice Fishing Trip February 2023

Kate and her family did a fabulous job with the remodel on this vrbo! The location was great as my brother in law also has a cabin on big arbor vitae lake, just in walking distance which helped. The stay was a hit with the family and had great views out the sunroom towards the lake. The house had everything we needed to make our stay a home away from home. I loved all the dressers in the bedrooms as we like to unpack rather than live out of suitcases while on vacation. Not all vrbo's have dressers so a major plus and the closet space was massive as well. All in all a great trip up north while the husbands ice fished. Thanks for a great stay and we would love to visit again. No complaints at all! Thank you for opening your house to us!
