Cozy family sized farmhouse retreat on Hwy 78 near Wayland, Iowa. This old farmhouse is freshly painted and renovated with a modern farmhouse theme. Grab a cup of coffee, sit on one of our patios to watch the sunrise or the sunset and then take a walk around our beautiful property! Or snuggle around the cozy indoor fireplace and gaze into the flames! The large kitchen is perfect for gathering for cooking or just chatting.

This farmhouse has been in my husband’s family for nearly 50 years. The farmhouse has modern updates including a large Roku TV and Wifi to go along with traditional touches like a beautiful private setting and family antiques inside.

West 78 Farmhouse sits high enough to capture the most amazing sunrises and sunsets in a rolling countryside with addictive stargazing. It is located in an agricultural setting with beautiful farm fields surrounding the property. Spring and summer bring the planting of multiple mass flower plantings as well as a fair sized private pumpkin patch. Summer and Fall may bring some fresh hay cuttings, field harvest and pumpkin picking. This is a great location to get away from the city, pick a few fresh flowers and relax in the country. Enjoy the growth going on and to take in some fresh country air.

This Farmhouse location is right in the middle of rural Midwest Iowa living with so much to offer. This home has central air conditioning and heat. Windows open for that country fresh breeze. It has a fully equipped kitchen for cooking.
There are 2 bedrooms with fully new bedded Queen sized beds each. The living area has a large leather sofa and 2 recliner chairs. There is a TV available. The full bathroom has a stool, vanity and bathtub/shower. There is dining space available in the kitchen for gathering.

Outside is a couple inviting decks equipped with outdoor living furniture.

This property is located 16 minutes from Washington, 23 minutes from Mt. Pleasant, 18 minutes from Lake Darling State Park and 29 minutes from Fairfield, while only 32 minutes to Kalona. West 78 Farmhouse located on a state highway making it centrally located to a multitude of local dining and entertainment.Washington is known for it’s walk/bike Key Wash Trail and multiple great locally owned restaurants like Unc and Nefs Bar and Grill, Café Dodici’s, Dino’s Pizza and Steakhouse and JP’s 207 as well as many other local establishments. Lake Darling State Park offers picnicking, lake swimming, no wake lake with small motor boat, canoe rentals and great fishing as well as a large event center that can be rented for family reunions, weddings and other gatherings.
