The top house of The White Sands Getaway is located on Little Hickory Island, between Naples and Fort Myers. Private residences beach in this access section and the lack of crowding testifies to this. The Beach Access 3 is 50 steps from our Getaway and is full of ocean life, especially in summer. May through August is turtle nesting season, with tracks and nests dotting the shoreline. Shelling and bird watching are excellent here also with heron, egret, eagle, osprey, pelican, and gull all present. Our Beach Paradise Getaway is ideally located for a morning walk on the beach or sitting while taking in the sunsets.
Area attractions: Many activities are available in the local area, including parasailing and jet skiing available at the beach one-half mile away. Paddleboard and kayak are available within 1/2 mile at Doc's, and pontoon boat rental is available also. Corkscrew Swamp, an 11,000-acre preserve run by the Audubon Society, is a 45-minute drive east. Alligators, birds, fish, and snakes are observable in their natural environment from a 2.5-mile boardwalk through the swamp. The Jay Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge is 25 minutes north up the beach on Sanibel Island and offers excellent views of migratory water bird life. Naples is 15 minutes south by car with numerous restaurants, museums, a fishing pier, and shops. Ft Myers is 20 minutes north up the coast and has Margaritaville Hotel Restaurant and Bar. The Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) is a 25-minute drive to White Sands Getaway! Wonder Gardens is home to a diverse family of rescued, rehabilitated, and non-releasable animals. From Florida Alligators and Flamingos to beautiful macaws, pythons, turtles, tortoises, and even Chinese Golden Pheasants – add that to the vibrant botanical collection and we have something to interest every member of your family, located on old 41.
House details: the top floor has a great living area, a breakfast bar, a full kitchen, two bedrooms, one king and one queen and the living room couch folds out to the couch as a queen sofa bed. The bathroom has a shower tub combo, as well as a double sink vanity. The laundry room is located inside the bathroom. The A/C system is new, cool, and quiet. We have a brand-new tankless water heater, so you will never run out of hot water. Relax on the Private Balcony with your family and friends after a day at the beach.
Beach details: Bonita Beach has been included in the top ten beaches in America and is well-suited to swimming. Sloping gently for miles into the Gulf of Mexico, the sandy bottom is comfortable, and the gulf wave action is mild. Pelicans, terns, osprey, frigate, heron, and other sea birds can be seen at the beach along with dolphins and sea turtles. Sunsets over the water are beautiful and panoramic. Bonita Beach stretches for six miles along the This area of the beach is residential and uncrowded, allowing for the ideal beach experience. Beach access #3 is located one house north of us and makes it possible to walk to the beach in less than a minute. Shelling is a popular activity on Bonita Beach as many beautiful specimens can be found in the clean sand.
Waterfront restaurants within a one-mile radius include Coconut Jacks, Docs Beach House, The Fish House, and C-Level for Fine dining. Flippers traditional seafood 3 miles north on Hickory Blvd. Enzos for fine Italian dining local tradition on Bonita Beach Road just a few miles away.
