Home 3 blocks from Lake Superior, near Pictured Rocks and trail access

Bring the whole family to this great place with lots of room for fun. Located just 0.3 mile from Lake Superior and the best beach in da Yoop! There is a private fenced in yard for kids. Snowmobile and ATV riders will appreciate the close proximity to the trail and gas station as well as one car garage that is available. To hike, bike and kayak, the trails and waterfalls are within 20 minutes and the river is just 5 minutes away as well. Pictured Rocks Cruise is only 15 minutes away!.

This location is perfect for a home base of all of the local attractions this area has to offer. Within 15 minutes you are in Munising where you can do the Pictured Rocks cruise, Shipwreck Tour or Kayak tour and many more. Munising is the start of the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and there's days worth of activities there and the surrounding area. See over a dozen waterfalls all within 30 minutes from the property.
Close to ATV and snowmobile trails, just a few steps away from grocery store and gas station.
The kitchen is large and is fully stocked with brand new appliances. You'll find a really spacious fenced back yard setup with a firepit and grill to enjoy the outdoors and relax after a long day of exploring.
Amenities include a washer/dryer, dishwasher as well. All bedding, linens, towels, paper towel and toilet paper is supplied. If this place doesn't have it, we will get it for you. There is WiFi, 3 TVs and a free canoe/kayak rental is included (discounts for additional canoe/kayaks available during the Summer)
Spend some time relaxing on the Beach or swim in the warm water of the River where it empties into the Lake in the Summer. Fall is exceptional for color and waterfall tours besides the fall festivals celebrated in the area. Winter is great for ice fishing, snowmobiling, skiing, sledding, snowshoeing, enjoy events like UP200 and yes... even an outhouse race!

The house was clean and comfy, had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. The location was perfect, nice quiet neighborhood. Communication with the host was great, they were very kind and understanding with a couple last minute requests. Would definitely stay again!

The property is located very close to the lake & is very comfortable and nice - except the heating wasnt working or fully operational - although we were provided with 5 space heaters - when we mentioned the heating wasnt working. Very pleasant property owners & i would definitely like to go back there.

The house clean, spacious and had the amenities we needed. We were pleased it is centrally located to picture rocks, the beach, as well as other attractions. The only issues were that I couldn’t log into my Netflix account on the TV despite using the WiFi password. Also, the remote had to be charging the entire time or a message popped up. I look forward to visiting again.

The check in the as perfect! House was pretty much as pictured. Kitchen and dining area was fantastic for our girls weekend. Had all things we needed, except I didn’t check myself but there isn’t air conditioning for anyone else booking during summer months. It really didn’t impact us as we just opened the windows, and the temperatures were perfect. The grocery store and pizza shop were great and so close! The walk to Lake Superior was the highlight of our stay at the house. We also did plenty of things around the are! I would recommend the Lakenen Sculpure place down the road! Fantastic adventure, bring bug spray. We had the best time and were comfortable and would recommend this place!

Great location and clean home

House was clean and beds were super comfortable! Could use a few repairs but who’s house doesn’t?. :-) perfect location for snowmobiling. Gas and trails super close.

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy house in Au Train, Michigan! The house was well appointed with everything we needed for a comfortable visit, and the beds were especially comfortable — we all slept great. Having a washer and dryer on-site was a big plus, too. The location was perfect. There’s a small grocery store and a pizza/ice cream place just a short walk away, which was really convenient. The best surprise was the gorgeous Lake Superior beach just a few minutes’ walk from the house. We knew the lake was close, but we didn’t expect such a beautiful, sandy beach — we spent hours there relaxing and enjoying the scenery. It’s also only about 10–15 minutes from Munising and Pictured Rocks, so exploring the area was easy. The neighborhood felt very safe and was wonderfully quiet — a peaceful place to unwind. Overall, we loved our stay and would happily come back again!

Dave’s place was perfect for our UP trip. Great proximity to the river and Lake Superior. Home was big and deck was comfortable to hang out on. Had lots of amenities.

Great Stay in Au Train

Very nice clean home providing everything we could have asked for. Enjoyed the privacy in the back with a privacy fence and a very quiet nice neighborhood. Close to food and supplies. Walking distance to Lake Superior and a short drive to Munising and sites. Would definitely stay here again.

Family stay in Au Train

Nice clean house in Au Train 1 block from small store and about 5 blocks from Lake Superior. Family of 4 enjoyed a nice stay as a base to explore the shoreline and the Pictured Rocks area. The house was updated and spacious with everything we needed for cooking meals.

The house was very clean and neat. The Bedroom in the basement should be eliminated or refinished no one wanted to stay down there. The electrical in the basement should be gone over also too many extension cords that could pose a hazard.

Great location

We rented this lovely property for 4 adults 2 nights. This has 2 bedrooms and a room in the basement with a couch, TV and 2 beds (looks like queens). There is a king bedroom, had a private bath with shower. The 2nd bedroom had 2 twin beds, the 2nd bath has a tub/shower. The kitchen is nicely equipped with cooking dishes, new appliances, there are was a nice assortment of spices in the kitchen. WiFi was available at no additonal charge, a small store less than a block away. We were here when it was really hot out and it would have been nice to have a few fans as there is no air conditioning. The 2nd night the house was a bit warm, had there been more wind that would have helped. The back yard is fenced in, there is a nice deck on the back of the house, no patio furnishings. Would stay again.

Great stay at Au Train

This place worked out great for the three of us. We liked the location walking distance to Lake Superior and the Au Train River. Lots of kayak rentals nearby. Loved the corner store which is a 1 minute walk - so handy and adorable! Nice folks! We grilled out on the deck which has a new gas grill. Fabulous! We ate all our meals out here and had our morning coffee. Backyard is completely fenced for privacy. We liked watching the chipmunks in the yard under the big shade tree. My husband and I are traveling with his mother. We stayed in the room with the king bed and nice bathroom. Great shower head and water pressure- thank you! My mother in law stayed in the room with the two twin beds. Her bed was comfortable. We watched a movie on the big tv in the living room. Very comfortable seating for everyone. The only things that could be easily fixed are: 1) change the mattress covers to something other than that crinkly plastic. Noisy when you move and also kept coming off the edge on the king bed. 2) The kitchen faucet has an issue when you turn it to warm water. Loses all the pressure I know these little things will be fixed right away because the owner is very responsive. We noticed a previous review that said fans were needed and we had great new fans! There’s no AC here and we were visiting in July but it wasn’t a problem at all with the cool mornings and evenings! The fresh air flowing through the open windows was awesome! We highly recommend this place!
