Liberty Cabin, 3 blocks from Lake Superior, near Pictured Rocks and trail access

This recently remodeled property is located right in AuTrain only 15 minutes from Pictured Rocks. You'll be able to catch the sunset just with a 5 minute walk to AuTrain Beach and enjoy the river or Lake Superior. This house was stripped down to the studs and completely remodeled top to bottom inside, finished on September 2021. You will find a cozy yet modern interior and plenty of room to enjoy with friends and family with accommodations for up to 8 guests. The kitchen is fully stocked with stainless-steel appliances. You'll find a really nice campfire area in the fenced in yard setup to enjoy the outdoors along with a swing to relax after a long day of exploring. There are 3 bedrooms total, one with (1) King, another one with (1) Queen bunk bed and one with (2) Twin bunk beds. Amenities include a washer/dryer, dishwasher. All bedding, linens, towels, paper towel and toilet paper is supplied. If this place doesn't have it, we will get it for you. There is WiFi, one TV, a large gas grill, and a free canoe/kayak rental is included. (discounts for additional canoe/kayaks is available during the Summer). There is a stall in the garage that is available for your use as well for parking or working on your toys!.

The house is very nice , I tend to spend too much time searching for a place because I’m always worried I wont make a good choice, especially when others are staying . Everyone was happy with this place. A couple important things; not a lot of the houses have 2 bathrooms, this one does which is one reason I chose it ,, two full baths . Another very nice amenity is a large completely fenced in yard for children or pets , lot of pretty trees ,a fire pit and chairs , a nice deck with a picnic table with a nice grill and a nice wooden swing . The living room has 3 nice leather couches, if you have a large family that’s a nice feature . Very easy walk to beautiful Lake Superior to see a gorgeous sunset . About 30 minutes from Marquette & 10 minutes to Munising . Au Train is a small town without a lot but there is a nice small store very close and a pizza shop also very close & not far from the larger towns . Liberty Cabin also has a nice fireplace, although we didn’t really get to enjoy it much because the weather was warm for the first week of October. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it .

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Was larger than the picture shows. Especially liked all the seating area in front of the TV. Was in a great location not too far from Munsing. The Ice Cream shop was fantastic. The Host was very quick to respond to my questions. He recommended a great restaurant we just lobed. Would love to go back some day.

We enjoyed our stay at the Liberty Cabin! The kids loved the bunk beds in each room and it was nice clean place to stay. We took advantage of the kayak company across the street as we kayaked down the Au Train river. I would definitely recommend staying at Liberty Cabin.

Lake Superior get away

We loved this super conveniently located home! The home was so comfortable for everyone and we played Cornhole every night! We walked down to the outpost for pizza and grabbed a few key items from the little station. Would definitely recommend again.

Highly recommend!

I was surprised at how much I liked this place. It is centered in between Munising and Marquette. It is a short walk to Lake Superior and couple awesome stores that have ice cream and pasties. I loved the huge private fenced in backyard where we played corn hold every night, that was supplied by the owner. The house looks to be newly renovated and is very clean. Would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend it.

Perfect UP north getaway!

We had an absolutely amazing stay, great location close to the water, nearby grocery & the pizza place down the road is phenomenal! Our host was very accommodating & fast responding, we will definitely be back!! 10/10 Thanks for a great stay!

Work in progress

Nice location, spacious, nicely furnished. It looked like it was recently refinished but not quite finished yet. Examples: missing trim on walls and doors, no drawer or door handles in kitchen, kitchen didn’t have enough lighting, new gates on yard but didn’t allow for location so 1 was frozen open and the other frozen closed, bathroom door wasn’t aligned so wouldn’t latch. In addition it wasn’t as clean as we expected with crumbs and sticky food on kitchen counters and dust hanging from ceiling fan. Some dishes were put away uncleaned, which was probably by prior guests.

Very Nice Cabin

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin very much. The cabin was clean and quiet with plenty of room and the fenced in yard was a plus for our dogs. We would stay here again!!!

Great Cabin in a Great Location

We loved our stay at Liberty Cabin! We walked to the local grocery and pizza/ice cream store right down the street for necessities and extras. Both had a great selection of beers and the pizza and ice cream were delicious. The fire pit at the cabin made for a fun conversation area. The location to the UP attractions in the area and the short walk to Lake Superior made for a fantastic location. Would love to return here again.

Definite return!

The house was so easy to get to & looked very nicely kept even before entering. The yard inside the fence was very spaceous & perfect if you have a dog like myself. Inside the house was so cute & had a balance of rustic & modern comfort.
