Welcome to Deer Lake Retreat, your year-round Northern Michigan escape located on the beautiful shores of Deer Lake in Boyne City.
Perfectly situated just minutes from Boyne Mountain Resort and on the shores of Deer Lake, this spacious lakefront home comfortably sleeps up to 14 guests and offers the ideal setting for everything from summer lake vacations to winter ski getaways. New photos will be coming in Spring 2026 following a remodel, offering guests an even more elevated experience.

Inside, the home features multiple living spaces designed for both gathering together and spreading out in comfort. The main level offers panoramic lake views throughout, a full kitchen with dining area, a spacious living room, and a cozy library. The primary suite features a king bed and private full bathroom, while an additional queen bedroom and another full bathroom with washer and dryer are also located on this level. Walkout access leads directly to the expansive deck overlooking the lake.

Upstairs, guests will find additional sleeping accommodations including a twin bedroom and two more queen bedrooms. The lower level is designed for relaxation and entertainment, featuring another queen bedroom with a futon, a second living room with a gas fireplace, and a game room complete with a pool table, pinball machine, and slot machine—perfect for family game nights after a day of adventure.

Outside, Deer Lake Retreat offers direct lake access along with a private dock available during the summer season. The large deck provides stunning water views and the perfect place to relax and take in Northern Michigan’s beauty. Summer stays may require a seven-night minimum, while spring, fall, and winter stays may allow shorter two-night minimums.

The location offers endless activities year-round. Boyne Mountain Resort is just three miles away and The Monument Golf Course is located less than half a mile from the home. At Boyne Mountain, guests can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, tubing parks, terrain parks, lessons, and rentals for all ages and skill levels. Families will also love nearby Avalanche Bay Indoor Waterpark, Michigan’s largest indoor waterpark, offering fun no matter the season.

Dining options are plentiful nearby, with popular spots including Everett’s, Erickson’s, Forty Acres Tavern, The Beach House at Deer Lake, and Trophy Room & Apres Ski Pub. Guests can also explore the charming nearby towns of Boyne City, Petoskey, and Charlevoix for additional shopping, dining, and entertainment.
