Enjoy our open concept home set on 2 acres, that comfortably sleeps 6, a fully stocked kitchen and our 2 signature guest bedrooms. Located just minutes to Mahone Bay and 10 minutes to Lunenburg, this home offers a place to breathe deeply, far away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, yet only a short stroll from the coast.

THE SPACE: Step into history in our charming 1895 post-and-beam home. Passed down through generations, and deeply rooted in Mahone Bay's shipbuilding and seafaring past. Thoughtfully restored and decorated in seaside blues and maritime touches, Knotting Hill offers a rare chance to stay in a piece of Nova Scotian heritage. It isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a feeling you carry home, and the kind of peace you didn’t realize you were missing.

MODERN CONVENIENCES: 1.5 bathrooms -including an upper-level powder room, a fully stocked kitchen with spices and essentials so you can cook with ease, laundry facilities, and heating/air conditioning for year-round comfort.

Tranquil, relaxing and cozy. We love the location. Just outside of Mahone Bay, and a short drive to Bridgewater or Lunenburg. Lots to explore, see and do in this area! Thoroughly enjoyed seeing the deer in the morning and at the end of the day.The host provides a fantastic digital guide! Would definitely stay again!

What a wonderful place!

We spent 5 nights at this cottage and loved every second of it! It's located right outside of Mahone Bay and it is a short drive away from Lunenburg.The cottage itself was great - very roomy and extremely well appointed. My husband loves to cook and the kitchen had everything he needed (including a great selection of spices).We hope to come back to the area soon and will absolutely stay here again!

This is a sweet Cozy well equipped Cottage. The hosts are very attentive ; checking in to ensure everything is ok. They have thought of EVERYTHING. So many added extras. The bed is very comfy like sleeping on a cloud! Very close to amenities and attractions. We look forward to a return trip.

We have stayed at more than twenty VRBO homes over the years and this one is definitely one of the best experiences we’ve had. Jacqueline is so thoughtful. Her replies were immediate. The home is lovely and very comfortable-the bed was great even for my husband who has a bad back. I usually cook more than I did this time and everything I would have needed was right there! Thank you for a lovely visit - we wish it had been longer.
