Unique cove beach surrounding, beautiful, tranquil, and private, this water front house is in the famous beach town Chester(Lunenburg County), NS. It is located in the Chester Golf Course Membership area, only 5 minutes from Chester center, Chester Playhouse or Yacht Club, 10 minutes from Queensland Beach, 10 minutes to Mahone bay, Lunenburg, and 40 minutes from downtown Halifax. Great location for day trips nearby saltwater beaches, Peggy's Cove, Annapolis Valley, Hubbards Farmer's Market, etc.
Featuring a terrace and sea views, the spacious guest apartment includes 2 bedrooms, a living room, flat-screen TV, an equipped kitchen, and 1 bathroom with a walk-in shower and a bidet. Towels and bed linen are offered in the guest rooms. The property has an outdoor dining area. It also supplies free private parking, and free Wifi. The driveway, parking lot, front yard, front yard deck and waterfront deck are all exclusively for guest use.

Beautiful setting, very peaceful with lovely linens on the beds. The kitchen is fully stocked, the sitting room is comfortable and the outside decks are amazing. The little village of Chester was close by with a cozy pub offering live music on select nights and the local playhouse had local talent performing while we were there. We would stay again

We loved the privacy and view of ocean. Loved watching the tide go in and out, that was so amazing. Missed having a sandy beach to walk on. Otherwise , fantastic. Golf course restaurant was amazing as well.

Lovely cottage with stunning views of the bay. We ate in 2 of the nights and the sounds of nature were a chorus of joy.Yi met us upon arrival and was a wonderful host showing us around with easy access if required. Central access to hiking, Peggy’s Cove, Lunenburg and all outdoor activities we enjoyed. A great stay! P&R

The property is well located and has an amazing dock by the water. It was very clean, large kitchen and nice new bathroom. We really enjoyed our stay, we relax on the dock and also explore Peggy’s cove and Lunenburg close by. The owners we easy to communicate with, clear indications and very nice. We highly recommend this property and we would for sure rent it again! Thank you

Weekend Getaway

Love the location absolutely beautiful view of the ocean sail boats and motor boats. My favourite was the upper and lower decks breakfast and coffee on the upper deck and lazing the afternoon on the lower deck. Kitchen was well stocked, bathroom was stunning with extra features such as fog free mirror, towel warmer, lighting added a special touch and amazing shower. There was a nice breeze off the ocean and air conditioning inside. We throughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back

It should have been disclosed that the property owners had full access to the unit (via shared laundry room) while you were in the unit. They could walk in on you any time as the door was locked from their side.

Cove side cottage

A well equipped cottage and beautifully appointed on a protected cove. Beautiful deck, comfortable beds, great kitchen and nice to have to have access to washer/dryer. This was just what we were looking for - relaxation with ocean views.

It was charming, and a lovely location. The only downsides were the steep driveway, and the stairs and ramps you needed to walk to get to the porch and deck. Yi was very prompt to respond to my questions, and I loved that there were plenty of towels. The bed was comfortable too!

Hidden gem

Such amazing, luscious foliage reminiscent of a scene from a fairytale. The home was full of character and super cozy with everything we needed. Yi was a friendly, attentive host and we felt very welcome. I hope to be able to enjoy this little gem another time.

Piece of paradise by the sea

Spent a wonderful 10 days in this delightful property right on the water. Very relaxing. Home was well appointed and spacious. Host very accommodating and responsive. Beautiful views from decks and the unit itself. Would stay here again.

The house was nice, beautiful and private, yard could have been mowed, microwave wasn't cleaned and our last night the lady said she was coming to take the garbage out but they stayed next door all night. A little dissapointing,but over all was a nice place to unwind

A relaxing home away from home

We enjoyed our stay at this cottage very much. A quiet and peaceful spot by the water with all the comforts of home. Enjoyed morning coffee and hot chocolate on the deck by the Bay, with three different seating areas to choose from. We had great weather all week and the cottage was centrally located near all the places we wanted to visit. Yi was the perfect host; great communication in advance of our arrival and she checked in with us a few times during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. We would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet spot by the water. We would definitely rent this property again.

Lovely apartment overlooking salt water bay. Interior was spotless and well appointed. Houseplants were well maintained. Bathroom was modern and had nice amenities such as heated towels rack lighted mirror, and beautiful shower.Kitchen was well appointmented with utensils, coffee grinder, magic bullet, and dishwasher.Beds were comfortable and lamps had usb chargers built in. Limited clothing storage, no dressers.Heatpump worked great to heat and cool, we needed both during our stay.Outdoors had a few seating areas to choose sun or shade and an electric bbq and tree lights. The sun umbrellas were new and very helpful in the hot sun.The location is ideally suited for time in the area.The landscaping was a bit "natural" but there were lots of interesting plants shrubs and flowers to make it a private and enjoyable outdoor space.As it relates to privacy, there is a Ring doorbell camera facing the sundeck that presumably is monitored by the owners, who occupy the other side of the residence.The friendly host was there to greet us on checkin and was attentive through the App for communication.

Sea view

Great sea view from the new deck. No railings, so adults only. New bathroom was appreciated by all. New 2nd toilet in the laundry room looks like it belongs on the space station. New small BBQ. Dishwasher is a little puzzle as you need to attach it to the sink; some written/photo instructions might be useful for those who have never seen this before.Owners communicated quickly and even dropped something off all the way from Halifax when requested. They also said we are better to bring our own water (local store) than to drink from the tap. 5 - 7 minute drive north of Chester and about an hour from Halifax airport. Great location close to many points of interest. For the golfers: played Chester GC twice. Fantastic and vastly under appreciated (as the friendly locals prefer), with 8 holes on the water. Challenging in 50 km/hr wind. Would definitely go back - to the cottage and the course.

Sheer heaven

We stayed four days in Yi & Kuangs beautiful cottage on Squid Bay. The cottage is spacious with two large bedrooms with comfortable hotel class beds and small but well appointed bathroon with shower and a washer and dryer which we appreciated. Also a well appointed kitchen and a cozy living-room and dining room with beautiful views. There is a lovely wrap around verandah and covered front porch to relax on as well as a large dock with an large umbrella and lounge chairs to enjoy. The cottage is centrally located and within an hour from Halifax Stanfield Airport. Yi responded to any inquiries promptly and was a very pleasant host. We highly recommend staying in Yi&Kuangs beautiful VRBO.

This is an idea place let you forget the hustle and bustle of outside world, enjoy the moment with your beloved ones.

You can lie on a deck chair on the seaside platform, let the sea breeze caress your face, and let the sound of the waves lull you to sleep. You can also go boating and swim on the cove. If you're looking for a lively nightlife, there are plenty of restaurants and bars in the town center not far away. Even to Halifax city, it's only a 35-minute driving distance.
