The house is spacious and would easily accommodate 6 people as advertised. However it is a older home in need of updating (it's for sale) and, most bothersome was that the cleanliness was poor. The entryway was littered with leaves and inside the door was a spiderweb with trapped insects. The toaster oven had greasy tin foil and many food particles. Overall cleanliness was not what we expect with a VRBO rental. The host was readily available and responsive to minor problems that arose while we were there. The cleaning was not a minor problem however.

The home is in a charming neighborhorhood. Our one concern was the kitchen and bedroom rugs were not clean. We enjoyed our visit with our aunt & cousins.

Larry is nice and helpful, home is not clean

Larry was lovely and helpful. He’s very quick to respond in the app and I appreciated some cute things he suggested for the kids. The backyard and outside is great. The kids loved the swing set and playing in the large grassy area. Unfortunately, I do need to post about the condition of the home. The furnishings are dated, but that’s not an issue. I am fine with dated decor - it’s cleanliness that was the issue. The home smelled musty and like smoke. We kept all the windows open to try to air it out. The things in the kitchen are covered in grime and old oil. I pulled out a few drinking cups covered in mold. The bathroom is moldy and dirty - take a look at the ceiling in the bathroom for a real stomach churner. The closets and bathrooms have old personal belongings, presumably used by someone who lived there years ago. Half cans of old aquanet, old prescriptions, half used lotions, toothpaste, and more. Overall, the backyard is great and a little oasis. Larry is helpful and nice. The cleanliness did feel like an issue.

Quiet comfortable home

We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and the walking trail nearby. Lots of shops, stores, and places to eat nearby as well. A great Saturday Farmer's Market in downtown Wheaton when we were there in May

Wise Choice in Wheaton

Quiet, safe, nice backyard, close to where we needed to be. We did not utilize any of the properties listed benefits like the hot tub or fire pits due to scheduled events at main graduation event. Owner very approachable, cared about and accommodated our events/schedules, etc.

It felt like coming home!

Larry's property.... I can't even call it a property. It's a HOME!!!! As soon as we walked in, it felt like we were coming to a loved one's house. It was so perfect!!!! We traveled FAR to get there, with our two little girls and our dogs. We were exhausted and overwhelmed after the drive and the Thanksgiving holiday chaos. But walking in, we were immediately so comfortable and cozy. He had towels and cloths set up on the dressers in every room (something I do for my own guests in our own home!) and everything was perfect. I don't know that in all my years of doing vrbo, that I've ever felt more cozy and comfortable walking in the door! The house was incredible and SO spacious. The yard is fenced in and HUGE!!! No outside noise, even tho it is incredibly located. Convenient to anything you could ever need. Beds, pillows, sheets, all were great. There was even ketchup in the fridge (our youngest could live off of ketchup alone 😅) and spices and all the things you could possibly want for a lovely and most importantly EASY stay! No random trips to the store, even if it's so close! We have family right down the road that we drove about 12 hours to visit, and we will absolutely be staying here again when we visit next. Check in and out was seamless and the stay was perfection. Can't wait to go back!!! Larry was the best host ever!!

Wonderful

This stay was quite special for us. We came to town for a Rottweiler dog show. When I was booking the house I found out who the owners mom was and how long she lived in the house. She was an icon in our breed. A true legend. having a huge yard for our dogs to play in after a long day at the dog show was wonderful. Bedrooms are very comfortable. The host is very accommodating and hospitable. Thank you Larry for everything

Great stay

This was a great place to stay as we visited Chicago. Host was friendly and hospitable and the house was ready for us the moment we arrived. Definitely would recommend this house to other visitors and we would happily stay there again for another visit. Great house and a great host!

Wheaton Wonderland

This was our first time booking a weekend getaway. Larry the host just happen to be there upon arriving. Check in was easy,house was clean. Great backyard. Dog gives it 5 paws!!! House is in nice neighborhood but near main drag for your shopping needs.Great first booking. Would use again.

Wheaton is a wonderful town with many amenties, the property is just blocks from downtown Wheaton and the Metra train to/from Chicago. The house is located on a quiet call-da-sac in a great neighborhood and the IL Praire Path is a short two block walk providing a scenic walking and biking nature trail.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

This lovely home has three bedrooms available; a ranch style single story home in beautiful Wheaton Illinois, many of the rooms have recently be renovated for a fresh comfortable feel. Pet and child friendly with a fenced in backyard, ample parking, a swing set and a secluded hot tub. It including a laundry room, exercise room, patio with a BBQ grill and extensive night lighting etc. I anticipate you will very much enjoy your stay here and we look forward to hosting you. It should be noted that the master bedroom is not included and that the basement and yard should be considered shared. Your space is secure and not entered unless there is an emergency or you request maintenance.
