Take it easy or enjoy it all at this unique and tranquil “Seaside Cottage” waterfront getaway. It’s a beautiful Beach style Cottage that comfortably sleeps 2+ guests. A Sunset oasis with boating, fishing, paddling and swimming right outside your doorstep! Perfectly located in Northport’s wonderful Waterfront Village. Just a short stroll away to beautiful parks, playgrounds, great restaurants, European Bakery, nice shops, art galleries, live music, outdoor concerts and festivals. The renowned Engeman Broadway caliber Theatre. Weekly Farmers markets. 2 Local Breweries. Del Fino Winery and Museums including the Vanderbilt Estate with a fun Planetarium within 15 minutes. “The Paramount” A Live Nation entertainment Music Comedy & boxing venue and 2 fantastic public Golf courses are a short drive away. “Seaside Cottage” is conveniently located an hour from NYC and the East End of Long Island. 30 minutes to South Shore beaches. And 5 minutes to the Long Island Railroad Train Station in East Northport. Wow! “Seaside Cottage” has it all!
The space
“Seaside Cottage” is a STUDIO layout (no separate bedroom) with great daylight. Private yet convenient to the Village. You can also walk to the local beaches & parks. The LIRR Train Station is 5 minutes away. Boat slips are available next door 🛥️

There is 37 STEPS to “Seaside Cottage” from the road to its bulkheaded private property. There’s a separate Main house on the property. It was an amazing stay! Lister/ Host was very kind and let us have privacy. Although I do want to add that, we did have to get rid of house spiders in the kitchen, living area, and the shower. Obviously not too big of a deal but just want to add in case. Richard was amazing like I previously stated, always checking in on the app to make sure we were happy with our stay.

Very comfortable space & accomodating host! Fantastic views of Northport Harbour and steps away from the water's edge! Would return and strongly recommend.

Charming Cottage on the harbor.

I enjoyed my stay here. The cottage was snug but clean. My host was friendly and helpful. ( Actually gave me a pound of really good coffee) Northport is a very pretty village with lots of interesting shops and art galleries as well as a Playhouse with surprisingly excellent talent.

Beautiful Place

The property is in a perfect location to visit Northport on foot and has amazing views of the harbor as you are directly on the water. Main Street of Northport and the main dock and the main park with all its shops is an easy 2 minute walk from the place.

Magical!

The gorgeous pictures are true - believe them (sister skeptics!)! This seaside cottage is so lovely and peaceful, the setting is private and serene. I grew up on LI, left in 1999, and was back for a family wedding. This seaside cottage in Northport is quintessential Long Island, among the best (at a relatively affordable price) that LI has to offer. The hosts are super helpful and respectful, Northport is a charming town with lots to offer. I loved the Purple Elephant for vegetarian and vegan options. Fresh air, beautiful waterfront setting, peace and tranquility -- doesn’t get much better! Many thanks to host Richard for all his kindness. Cant wait to return!!

Overwhelming bad mildew and mold smell and bugs, but lovely deck on the water

The mold/mildew smell was so overwhelming that it gave both of us horrible headaches. We could not sleep because of the odor. I killed 12 bugs when I arrived. And numerous more during my stay. A bug was crawling on my daughter as she sat on the futon. I bought cleaning supplies and cleaned twice, but the bugs and smell prevailed. I asked to leave and get a refund for the unused nights only. The owner denied this request so we attempted one more day after which we checked out early. The space is tiny and cramped. The bed is a very uncomfortable futon. I have had nicer accommodations camping. Very tiny space. Tiny shower. And I’m a tiny person. The host attempted to rectify the smell by bringing me air fresheners as requested, but I believe the mold smell was coming from the walls and floors so the poor air quality continued. An exterminator was needed for the bugs.

Just gorgeous!! I grew up in Northport and can tell you there is no better place to stay than right on the waterfront a block from Main Street. Richard is an incredibly gracious and helpful host. He made sure we had anything we needed but always respected our privacy. This is a quintessential little boathouse on one of the prettiest harbors on the island. Highly recommended.
