Embark on foot from your doorstep to ascend Tully mountain, a part of Connemara National Park offering panoramic views over the entire West coast and the Twelve Bens mountain range. The mountain is not only a haven for wild hares, lizards, and Peregrine falcons, but also a gateway to dramatic sea cliffs inhabited by a colony of nesting Cormorants. Head down to the pier in Tully for a sauna and swim in the sea. A few miles away in Letterfrack, park at the visitor’s center and walk the well-marked trails of Connemara National Park, a raw wilderness where rugged terrain meets a rich tapestry of wildlife, including wild baby goats! Challenge yourself to ascend the iconic Diamond Hill for breathtaking views or do a quicker, more accessible loop.

Discover the bustling town of Clifden, the “capital” of Connemara, known for its lively atmosphere and quaint independent shops.
