Wild Rose Retreat - Hot tub and Lake Access

Relaxing 2 bedroom, 1 bath home in beautiful Wild Rose. Get away from the day to day. King bed, hot tub, with lake access. Soak in the hot tub after a day outside in our beautifully wooded back yard and watch all your cares melt away.

We are located on a quiet lot with a fully wooded backyard. We are right across the street from beautiful Pine Lake. Fully updated interior with two bedrooms and one bath. Private outdoor hot tub right off of the back deck. Enjoy a view of the lake from the front deck. Full access to the lake .2 miles away and the property includes kayaks and paddleboards!

Pine lake is 143 acres with a maximum depth of 48 feet. It is known for its water clarity and excellent fishing. Fish include panfish, walleye, bass, and northern pike.

In the warm months take full advantage of the lake with lake access just .2 miles from the front door. Fish all day or spend hours out in the kayaks or paddle boards. The middle of the lake offers an amazing sand bar to lounge the day away on! After you are done on the water, pour a cocktail and sit on one of the two decks or in the hot tub and watch the sun set.

In the Fall / Winter Waushara County is home to some of the finest public hunting, ATV / UTV trails and ice fishing in the state.

For the skiing enthusiast Nordic Mountain is only 10 miles away!

Pet Lovers - while we are a pet friendly home we DO NOT allow pets on the furniture. Pet hair on beds / couches or failure to pick up pet waste will result in an additional $100 fee.

Please note that this house's water is drawn from a well. As such sometimes it smells like well water. All water is tested annually. If you are uncomfortable with well water you will want to bring bottled water.

Please note that between May and October we are unable to accommodate early check-in / late check-out to ensure our cleaners have enough time to do a thorough job.

Cozy getaway

This place is super clean, comfortable and nicely updated and has everything you need for a weekend getaway by the lake. Would love to have been able to stay longer.

Relaxing

Wanted to revisit this area for our anniversary and do some fishing also. The place was very clean and comfortable and tucked in the woods. Enjoyed the neighbors, wildlife and the lake being right there.

Anniversary weekend

Very clean and great place to stay. Hot tub was an awesome bonus!! Spent the day in Waupaca and had a wonderful lunch at Little Fat Gretchen’s and watched the Badgers at Hinders, One of the nicest breweries I’ve been to. Had a great dinner at Silvercryst Supper Club at the recommendation of our hosts.

Great location. We enjoyed a very quiet weekend. Super clean and updated. The kitchen has everything you will need. Relaxing in the hot tub and watching the deer was the perfect way to end the day!!!

Great little get away

This property was clean, quiet, peaceful and serene. Fishing is incredible. Hot tub was a great bonus. Lots of wildlife to see. Fully equipped kitchen and comfy beds!! Our hosts Greg and Stacie were very accommodating and we truly enjoyed our stay.

Super duper clean

This was an impromptu visit to go on a college visit but we couldn’t wait to get back to the property. It was so comfy and the area was great to walk with the dog. We wish we had a couple more days!

Peaceful retreat

We had a peaceful and calm stay at Rogue Rereat. The home is spacious and clean with all the good things like a coffee pot with coffee provided, nice towels and good quality cotton sheets. We didn’t have time to access The lake activities or use the hot tub or fire pit but that would make for a neat family activity. The owner respobded to several questions and issues we had so that was appreciated. Thank you for a lovely stay !

Beautiful property, hyper responsive host!

Few nights on the lake on a golf trip with a couple guys and my dog. We had the wives and kids (late teens) join us for the afternoon to take advantage of the lake toys followed by grilling out (combination of open fire grilling in the fire pit and the gas grill on site allowing enough space to grill for 9 people). One night we also had a dazzling display of the northern lights! Host was hyper responsive to our questions, place was super clean, with unexpected nice touches (eg. 5 head lamps, beach towels...etc). Highly recommend!! One note, we were looking for roadside stands for firewood and there was absolutely no place on the way to Wild Rose. Ended up at the Amoco in Wild Rose and got gouged a bit ($7 per very small bundle). On the way out of town we drove east through Saxeville and came across a couple roadside stands that direction.

This location is a great blend of privacy and lake access. You can sit out back in the hot tub and think you are the only person in the world as you stair at the pine and oak forest. Pine lake is an incredible lake for swimming, fishing, and boating and our access is .2 miles down the road. The area is a perfect blend of all the things we enjoy.

Wilderness comfort. During the summer you have the options to fish, swim, boat, sit on the deck with a drink and watch the sunset.

During the winter you have the options to hunt, hike, ATV / UTV, snowmobile and Nordic Mountain is only 15 minutes away.

Anytime of year you can lounge in the house or soak in the hot tub!
