Stunning views! House is well laid out, large, and gorgeous. Great game room downstairs and kid bedroom . They've thought of everything. Especially loved having 2 refrigerators, 2 dishwashers, and 2 coffee makers! Very convenient for a large group .

The host was amazing -- responsive and welcoming! The property had everything we could have wanted and was even more beautiful in person. It was immaculate and well appointed and there were extra nooks for games and people to find their own spaces. The views of the sunsets and sunrises were stunning! We were so thankful to be greeted with a decorated, lit Christmas tree and lights turned on around the house so we could settle in easily. This host thought of absolutely everything! My family thought this was the best home we've ever rented and we all hope to return. Don't miss this home!

We had a delightful stay at Salty Treat. Sadly, the weather wasn't cooperative in September but the spaciousness of the house, the amenities (pool and hot tub), game table, etc. made the week amazing. I can't say enough about the location as well -- great views east and west in a private area with direct beach access. Amazing!

Salty Treat Oceanfront House was the perfect place for our family gathering and 60th birthday celebration. The oceanfront view was absolutely breathtaking—waking up to the sound of the waves and endless ocean views made the trip unimaginably special.The home was spacious, wonderfully maintained, and ideal for family fun, with plenty of room for everyone to relax and spend time together. Being right on the beach during winter months was a huge bonus. No crowds & the weather was mild enough to enjoy mid-morning walks, and evening sunsets.This house created unforgettable memories for our family, and it truly felt like a special place to celebrate such a milestone. We would definitely recommend Salty Treat to anyone looking for a beautiful oceanfront stay in the OBX.

BOOK THIS ONE!!!!

10/10 would recommend. They provided the easiest & best check in, check out and property instructions well before arrival as well as continued prompt and clear communication throughout the stay. The kitchen is much more well stocked with cooking, serving and eating supplies as mentioned in other reviews and the initial property descriptions. The photos do the home justice however, just know that the home and views are even greater in person than they are in pictures. You will not be disappointed! Enjoying all that the Outer Banks and the Salty Treat have to offer (even during the off season!) is a wonderful opportunity that you would be remiss to pass up! This home is amazing!

Great vacation home to host our family Thanksgiving. Kitchen was well stocked and plenty of room and seating. Seamless arrival and very clean. Unobstructed Views of the Ocean and Sound were incredible. Dual refrigerators, dishwashers and ovens were so great for a family who all likes to cook and could all be in the kitchen at the same time. Multiple areas to hang out and play games. Exterior features like the grill & hit tub were in excellent condition. Within minutes to shops, restaurants & Audubon nature trails. We highly recommend this home.

Beautiful oceanfront property with direct beach access located within a short driving distance of excellent restaurants and cute shops. Spectacular ocean views from almost every bedroom. Being pet friendly really puts this property over the top for our family. We book ocean front homes 2-3 weeks per year and already have booked 2 weeks at this home for 2026. Very quick response time from the hosts-the owner was at the house within 10 minutes when we called regarding an alarm from the downstairs fridge. Could not ask for more from this luxurious oceanfront property!

Celebration trip with friends

We were a group of 6 childhood friends, celebrating our 60th birthdays together. Salty Treat was the perfect home for us! There was so much space, the amenities were great, and the views spectacular. We loved walking on the beach, cooking in the spacious kitchen and playing card games in the upper game room. There are plenty of things to do nearby too. Salty Treat is a beautiful home and we are so thankful we stayed here.

Memorable Stay at Salty Treat!

We had the most magnificent time staying at Salty Treat in Pine Island! Very comfortable beds, nothing like waking up for the endless view of the Atlantic! We had five couples with us and everyone was able to have a bedroom with ocean front views! In the evenings we played card games at the nook on the top level, enjoyed incredible sunset views over the Currituck sound and preserve!

Blown Away - Endless Views - Gorgeous Home

What a stay at Pine Island in Corolla! Salty Treat is the best of the best when it comes to vacation rentals. Private beach, unbeatable views, incredible amenities, quality everything. The heated saltwater pool was amazing for our kids, the saltwater is so gentle on their skin and the pool temp was fantastic even in March! This is our go to vacation house every year.

Repeat visitor to this property and the 2025 upgrades, amenities and decor are over the top! Very comfortable, well stocked with new dinnerware, cookware, appliances, furniture, heck everything! The adults all had provate rooms and the grandkids opted for the unique and safe bunk beds. Privacy in the home and on the beach are bonuses. No neighborhoods to contend with and a single row of beach goers spread well apart. Best spot and best value we've found in decades in the OBX!

Best of the OBX Location & House

We do multiple trips to OBX every year. This is our first time staying in Pine Island and this property Salty Treat. I am going to go ahead and say it, we feel Pine Island location and this house are the most beautiful places to stay in the OBX. You have a ton of privacy here but yet your not far from the shops & restaurants in Duck or Corolla. The privacy and scenary here is unbeatable. The overall accommodations this home provides are superior to anything we have stayed in before. This is our newest favorite location and home.

The Most Gorgeous Beach Vacation Destination!

Our family was blown away by the absolute beauty of the house and scenery. We probably watched 100 dolphins right from the living room of the house out playing and swimming right off the shore. Its hard to put in words the beauty of this place. Top it off the interior is all freshly remodeled and absolutely gorgeous. We were extremely satisfied with everything offered. The management/owners were spot on and we had no issues.

Amazing Property / Great location

This oceanfront property was so beautiful. The owners did a great job with the renovations and you could tell they care about the condition and presentation of their house. It has lots of great amenities and plenty of room with family to spread out, yet still be together. The pool was larger than most of the other beachfront houses we have stayed out and was very clean. The volleyball net was so much fun. There were plenty of beach chairs, pool toys, and lounge chairs outside. Location was great and close to the grocery store, golf courses, and other shopping. Booked again for next year and can't wait to come back!

Top of the line in Beach Front Homes!

We have vacationed in the OBX for years and feel fortunate to have found our go to for yearly vacations. This is a true beach front home. A lot of homes in OBX advertise as Beach front when you cannot really see the beach because of the Dunes. This house the pictures do not do it justice, it has just incredible views. I cannot describe how gorgeous the house and scenery is here. All I can say is no one would be disappointed in staying at Salty Treat!

Family Dream Week at Salty Treat

Our family enjoyed a perfectly fantastic week staying at the beautiful Salty Treat oceanfront home in the Pine Island section of Corolla, NC. The recently renovated home is magnificent both inside and outside. The furnishings are very attractive and comfortable. Each bedroom looks terrific and the mattresses are so comfortable. The great room/kitchen/dining room area is designed for enjoyment by a large family and the area looks so pretty. There are multiply indoor electronic games and a very popular pool/billiards table. The views are spectacular. The private beach area is just steps away, and if diving into cool waves is not your thing, the refreshing private pool is right outside your door. The owners thought of everything with beach chairs, beach and pool games, a hot tub and relaxing poolside chairs. Salty Treat is aptly named. A great stay for all ages.

Salty Treat is hands down the family favorite. The views at this place are absolutely remarkable. Right from the living room we sat and watched the sunrise and dozens of dolphins, it felt like you could reach out and touch them. Sunset over the sound and preserve is absolutely incredible to watch. The beach access is super easy to navigate. Tons to do in the house and on the property. Quality everything inside, beds/linens top notch, kitchenware high quality. Five minute drive to Duck and all the shops, we choose to take our bicycles for a beautiful ride down the wide sidewalks. Can't wait to return!

One of the most sought-after Outer Banks communities, Pine Island is ideally situated at one of the narrowest parts of the northern Outer Banks. As a result, the community is less-densely populated and the beaches are less crowded than communities hosting more vacation homes.

Pine Island provides a truly exceptional vacation setting, with three and a half miles of gorgeous coastline to the east. The Pine Island Sanctuary and Audubon Center are situated on 5,000 acres of pristine protected marsh to the west of the community. The community is connected with private roads and bike trails.

Guests staying in Pine Island can enjoy a plethora of community amenities. Two community pools are available, including a beach club with oceanside pool, bath house, a baby pool, organized children's activities, playground, tennis courts, bike and jogging path, and basketball court. The community pools are available as a comfort stop and beach access for guests that arrive prior to check-in time on their arrival day. For a fee, guests can use the Pine Island Racquet & Fitness center, which includes indoor tennis courts, pickle ball courts, and a fitness center.
