The home itself was spacious and the 4-bedroom, 4-bath layout worked well for our family. Unfortunately, we booked this property specifically for the amenities, and several of them either didn’t work or didn’t work properly. The A/C struggled to keep the house comfortable, the dishwasher didn’t work properly, the hot tub wasn’t functioning as advertised, and the dryer didn’t work at all. We only used the washer and dryer the night before checkout and discovered the dryer wasn’t working. I messaged the property contact that evening and never received a response. The next morning I received an automated checkout message asking if we needed anything, so I replied again about the dryer and our load of wet clothes. Again, no response. We had to pack our wet clothes in grocery bags to take home. There was only one garbage bag in the homes trash can. Communication throughout our stay was very poor, with responses taking hours, days, or not coming at all. It felt like a corporate-managed property rather than one where guest concerns mattered. There were also maintenance and safety issues. We found a spider in a pot while boiling water, the smoke detectors had no batteries, and several lights on the back deck were burned out which I told them about the first night, but was never taken care of. This property has great potential because of its size, but the lack of maintenance, unresponsive management, and multiple broken amenities made our stay disappointing.
