Such a warm and friendly welcome when we arrived. All the little extras through the property were amazing. There really was something for everyone and we also really appreciated the recommendations for things to do in the local area. With four young adults with us ages 14-21, the provided snacks, drinks, games cupboard and hot tub went down a treat. Thank you for making our stay feel like a home away from home. Truly one of the best places we have stopped in our travels!

Our end of summer vacation was absolutely phenomenal. Every detail of this house was perfection we never needed for anything we were made to feel right at home highly recommend 10 out of 10 we will 100% be back thank you Laurie for the wonderful hospitality and letting us make memories in your beautiful home

Homossassa Famiky trip

From the check in to the check out this place was awesome. The place was very clean and had alot of amenities you wouldn't expect. We all wished we could stay longer. The outside deck/ grilling area was great. The beds were comfortable. This is definitely a 5 star property. The host was great with communication. Loved the book with house info area and dining info. We used that quite a bit. Overall 5 star rating for everything. We will definitely consider staying here again when returning to this area.

We enjoyed our annual girls’ weekend at Crystal River and had a blast! The Fun n’ Sun Retreat was exactly what we needed. The home had everything we needed and more. Thank you Lori for an amazing experience!

Everything you need is here!

The house was fantastic and has everything you could ever want or need in a vacation rental. Great family space, both inside and out. Lori and Gordon were wonderful Hosts. Fully stocked kitchen with every utensil you need. My sister and I started playing a game to identify any object we could imagine that we wouldn't find. I actually shared that with Lori after checking out, saying that I needed a Band-Aid and suggested a first aid kit. She came back with a picture of one that was in a closet we hadn't looked in! Rats!! LOL. I highly recommend this property if your travels bring you to Crystal River or Homosassa, Florida.

Family getaway

We travelled down to visit family that live close by. The house was perfect. I’ve never stayed at a house that was so fully stocked. We loved the outdoor area! The house was very clean and my daughter loved the towel animals on the beds!

Perfect!

My fiance and I plus our best friend spent the weekend here to swim with the manatees! It’s the end of the season so not too many right now but the property was perfect! They pay so much attention to detail, so easy to get anywhere you need to go/ right in the middle of everything. We spent most of our time in the backyard hanging out and then settled into our large rooms and warm showers! Host was very communicative the entire time. Perfect stay

Everything you could possibly need

Clean, lovely home with everything you could need. Lori and her husband have this home stocked with every amenity you could want. The house is located in a more rural area that reminds you of a sleepy fishing village. Just a short drive to restaurants and attractions

Wonderful Experience

Our stay was wonderful! From the time we walked through the door until we checked out Lori and Gordon were amazing! Lori responded to texts quickly even during Hurricane Debby which the property was no affected at all! There were minimal decorations which worked out very well with the young children and much appreciated by me as their mom! Great snacks and drinks provided along with coffee and tea! The house was super clean and comfortable! The outside pavilion was a very cool area too! 5 stars for sure and when we go back to the area, we will stay here...as long as it's not booked! Thanks Lori and Gordon!!

We moved to Florida in 2020 (formerly Virginians) after exploring the nation in a RV. Crystal River became our home because it's a sleepy fishing town that offers diverse outdoor activities. We want to share this experience with others so we bought the house for short term rentals. Our goal is for each guest to feel at home and make lots of memories.

We chose the neighborhood because it's close to main roads, but nestled in a stable community. You can walk, jog, bike the neighborhood. It's on a dead end so there's very little traffic.

Fun n Sun is designed to be a retreat after spending a fun day in the sun. The house is set up for many "spaces" so folks can gather together or escape for quiet time. The outside is set up for doing many things to enjoy Florida weather.
