Welcome to Shore Thing Retreat, situated in the perfect Daytona Beach Shores location, a quick 3-minute walk to the beach and 2-minute walk to the Halifax River! Our spacious house sleeps 12 and offers a unique setup that is like having two houses under one roof. The home has two separate living spaces including two living rooms, two kitchens, and a game room, which makes it the perfect rental for large groups, family gatherings, or those looking for a little extra space to spread out and relax.

The charm of our home lies not just in its amenities and beachside location, but in the unique blend of both space and togetherness it provides. It also has two driveways, a covered carport, and room to park a trailer, making it a great place to stay for Bike Week and Biketoberfest.

Whether you are a culinary enthusiast or just like to heat up some takeout, our fully-stocked kitchen has everything you need to feed a crowd including large cookware and serving platters. There’s also a propane grill outside if grilling is more your speed. The dining room table seats 12, so everyone can gather together for a delicious home-cooked meal or a night of board games- we have a bunch to choose from! The larger of the two living rooms joins the dining room, which makes an ideal setting for your entire group to spend time after a day at the beach, while the second living room has a cozier vibe and provides a great alternative space. Whether you choose to enjoy quality time together or find a little nook for solitude, our dual living room setup ensures that everyone can unwind just the way they like.

If games are your thing, you’ll love the game room where you’ll find an air hockey table, two stand up arcade games, and a sit down arcade table for two. Fun and laughter guaranteed for both kids or adults! Our three, thoughtfully designed bedrooms cater to different needs and preferences:

Bedroom 1: Sleeps 2 with a four-poster king bed
Bedroom 2: Sleeps 4 with two queen beds
Bedroom 3: Sleeps 6 with two twin over full bunk beds

Two screened porches offer the perfect spot to sip your morning coffee while enjoying the ocean breeze or to cozy up with a book and relax for the afternoon.

When you’re ready to hit the beach, you couldn’t ask for a better location. Other area homes may appear to be closer to the beach but in reality public beach access is sometimes far away. That’s not the case with this home! Beach access with public restrooms and outdoor showers is 900 feet from the front door- just a quick 3-minute walk away. We have beach chairs, boogie boards, beach toys, and bicycles- along with a beach wagon- to make your beach trip as enjoyable as possible.

But the beach is not the only thing close by. The Halifax River is also a quick 2-minute walk in the other direction with a small riverfront park where you can enjoy a picnic or the amazing sunsets. Also within a 2 minute walk away is McElcroy Park, a hidden gem with a full playground, basketball court, outdoor gym, shuffleboard, and pickleball courts. If you’re an avid pickleball player, you’ll probably want to bring your own gear, but for everyone else, we have a couple of paddles and the nearby community center also loans pickleball equipment.

Craving local flavors? You’re in luck! There are a number of restaurants, cafes, breakfast spots & ice cream shops within a mile of the house and sidewalks along A1A make them easily walkable. If you’re up for a bike ride, the options are even more plentiful. There are oceanfront restaurants, fish camps on the river, and even a brewery- all within a 30-minute bike ride, some even closer! We are a quick 10-minute drive to Main Street in Daytona Beach, 11 minutes to the Ocean Center, 15 minutes to Ponce Inlet Lighthouse, and 18 minutes to Daytona International Speedway.
