En su propia playa de arena blanca azucarada bañada por las aguas turquesas del Discovery Bay se encuentra la exquisita casa Sugar Bay. Los interiores se distinguen por elegantes muebles de diseño personalizado, paredes color lavado, relucientes pisos de ramón, y objetos fascinantes d`Art de todo el mundo.

A curvas amplia escalera con gracia a través de la sala de estar dramática a una galería de trovadores y acogedor segunda sala de estar arriba con televisión vía satélite / DSS y VCR. Altavoces cuadrafónicos llenan la sala abovedada de estar, terraza y zona de la piscina con el sonido.
Azulejos-Salmon tonos italiano, la piscina de mosaico azul, balcones floridos drapeado y porches, y texturas de terracota y piedra crean un ambiente mediterráneo. Desde la gran terraza, el césped de hierba suave inclina suavemente 30 pies hasta los 100 metros de playa privada.

Dos gazebos mar proporcionan plataformas maravillosas para masajes celestiales y para ver puestas de sol gloriosos de la bahía.

Incredible Week!

Our family of 5 (2 adults, kids ages 18, 16 and 14) had an amazing time at Sugar Bay. The villa was beautiful and the location was ideal. Amazing snorkeling out the front door, private beach, kayaks and paddleboards and we used the tennis/pickleball court every day. The staff (Conroy, Peaches, Cordella and Bigga) were absolutely amazing! They made us feel at home and took care of everything. Afternoon smoothies, breakfasts and dinners and the housekeeping were fantastic and the grounds maintained every day. We wish we could have stayed longer, 5 Stars!

The Villa is as good or better than the pictures. The staff is outstanding. Nicole's cooking was flavorful with many different dishes each meal. Conroy was always quick to make delicious libations or handle anything we needed. The rest of the team (Peaches, Charm and Bigga) all did their assignments almost without noticing them. We've done a number of family vacations in Europe and surprisingly they felt this was the best one we've been on.

Jamaican Paradise

My family and I recently spent a week at the very beautiful Sugar Bay Villa in Discovery Bay, Jamaica. The accommodations were incredible both inside and out. The villa is tastefully decorated, immaculate and comfortable. The staff is incredible and the home hosts a gorgeous infinity pool, oceanfront gazebo ideal for relaxing and late afternoon cocktail hour, and an outdoor covered area for more relaxing. Direct access to Discovery Bay is excellent for snorkeling, swimming, and the staff will arrange for waterskiing and wave runners. Overall a great experience. Also a great location for access to Ocho Rios for Dunns River Falls and Mystic Mountain Bobsled and Zip-lining as well as Dolphin Cove. A definite find! Can't wait to return to this Jamaican paradise!

Amazing property and staffs

It has been 10 years since we have returned to Jamaica. We have rented houses in many different places (in Jamaica, US and Europe) and Sugar Bay was the best place we stayed in. This property was beautiful with everything you would want: pickle ball and tennis court, fitness room, kayaks, paddle boards, snorkeling gears etc. Plus you could snorkel right there. Being in a cove, the water was calm. The house was beautifully and thoughtfully decorated - more beautiful than the pictures in VRBO. The staffs, Nicole, Conway, Peaches, Bigger and Charm, were amazing. The owner Joan was very responsive and called us when we got there and when we left. This could have been a perfect vacation except for COVID. Unfortunately, 4 members of our family could not make it due to COVID. I would highly recommend Sugar Bay.

Wonderful family escape

We have stayed at the villa a week in January and I cannot have enough words to describe this real paradise. We were looking for a relaxing week to spend with two toddler boys and my parents and i could not have imagined more relaxed and pampered experience. Staff is absolutely wonderful! Very friendly, accommodating and extremely attentive to our boys, there were practically living in the kitchen!The house itself is absolutely beautiful, well kept with very home-like atmosphere; postcard perfect beach and water with jet ski and water skiing on site. We also had a tennis instructor to come to the properly and had coach boys every morning. Joan ( the owner) was wonderful in helping to arrange everything and called several times to make sure that we are all taken care off. NIcolas was absolutely wonderful and boys were completely attached to him, he even tried to make a fishing rod for them when they expressed interest in it and was very generous with the drinks for the adults! Cannot wait to go back!

Sugar Bay was one of the most amazing vacations we have had. We took our family to celebrate our 50th Anniversary. Every day was better than the one before. The home & setting were beautiful & well taken care of. The grounds were gorgeous. From looking out to the infinity pool onto the blue ocean it was breathtaking. Our staff was superb. Nicole, our chief in charge & cooking all meals did a marvelous job. She cooked us three fabulous meals every day. She aimed to please 10 hungry people & did. I would put her up against any chef. I cannot say enough about her. Conroy, our butler, did a very nice job. Trying to keep up with 10 people took a lot of work. He kept the younger generation happy as well as the adults. His smile & personality were infectious. Bigga, our security, was a man of many talents. He was always working on the grounds, doing all the grilling, & keeping us safe at all times. Even the dog, Tombo, was our friend. Charm & Peaches were beautiful ladies that were our Chamber Maids. They had smiles that never quit. They kept the house in great shape. Our rooms were always inviting to go to. Not only did we have clean bedrooms, but our laundry was done. What more could a vacationer ask for. A big thanks to the entire staff. You were a big part of making our vacation successful. The ocean is so beautiful. Every day we played in the water. We kayaked, jet skied, paddle boarded, & went swimming constantly. The water was our huge playground. Needless to say we all came home glowing from the sunshine every day. A special thanks to Lisa, the homeowner’s assistant, for all her help in making sure all my questions were answered & special needs were taken care of. She arranged for our driver to & from the airport, a photographer to come to Sugar Bay to take family pictures, & even came to meet us. For many months she answered every question I had, which there were many. Whenever I’d think of something I’d shoot her off a message & she was right on top of it. The owner, Joan McConnell, was very gracious. She & her husband stopped by & it was nice meeting them. Thank you for opening your home to us. As you can see, everyone worked together to make our celebration one we will remember for years to come.

Incredible Vacation

We recently spent our fifth incredible vacation at Sugar Bay Villa. As in visits past, we were not disappointed! From the initial greeting by awesome staff - Nicole, Peaches, Charm, Bigga and Wayne - to the relaxing days resting in the gorgeous infinity pool - it is a vacation like no other. The villa is beautiful and its outdoor area overlooking gorgeous Discovery Bay is paradise. The attentiveness of the staff is incomparable to other villas we have stayed. The food, drinks and overall experience is unbelievably wonderful.

Paradise!

We spent a marvelous 7 days at Sugar Bay Villa in Discovery Bay. It was a wonderful and amazing time overall. Upon arrival you are greeted by the heart-warming staff with a fresh towel and some drinks to cool-off. As soon as you step into the house, you are in paradise. The 5 bedroom villa has an open lay-out with a patio that looks out over the infinity pool and ocean. The patio is also adjacent to a bar where Ted, your concierge, will create any drink that you desire! The staff are some of the friendliest people you will ever meet. They are all so kind, wonderful, and always fulfill your every need. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are catered and special request are always welcomed. The way the staff looks after you truly feels like you are at a 5 star resort! They are always giving special attention to details that make every dining experience practically perfect. During our week at the villa, we were celebrating my wife’s birthday and the same truly made it amazing for her. They set-up a table under the poolside cabana and surrounded it with flaming tiki torches. The whole atmosphere was incredible and they kept the champagne flowing all night long! My wife and I vacationed with 4 other couples so each had their own room. The rooms were extremely well-kept, spacious, and had wonderful views to wake-up to every morning. Finally, the convenience and comfort of having your own private beach was uncomparable to any vacation we have ever been on. The beach is enclosed in a small Laguna so that there are never any major waves. We enjoyed snorkeling, kayaking, and paddle-boarding daily at the villa. Also, we had a couple that enjoyed playing tennis on the private tennis court that was on the Villa property as well. Overall, our stay was unbelievable and highly recommended to anyone who wants to enjoy a luxurious accommodation in Jamaica.

Perfection!

What an amazing 12 days we spent at Sugar Bay Villa. Beautiful house, grounds and location, but it was the care we received from Joan, Ted, Nichole, Peaches, Charm and Bigger that made the difference. We chose Sugar Bay because of the gorgeous outdoor spaces and weren't disappointed. Pictures do not do this house justice. The pool is stunningly beautiful, the bay calm and perfect for kayaking and paddle boarding, the beach great for gathering shells and playing in the sand and gentle waves, the hammocks perfect for relaxing with a book or having a wild swing. There are plenty of outdoor seating and living areas which are comfortable and diverse depending on what you'd like to do...eat, relax, read, nap, suntan. Though there are two lovely indoor family rooms we found we spent most of our time outside. Even when it rained Ted would roll down the screens so we could stay in the outdoor family room. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all perfect. Gorgeous flowers and arrangements everywhere. No other place on earth can compare with the charm and comfort of Sugar Bay Villa! Imagine the best resort you have ever stayed at without other guests. We felt welcome from the minute we arrived. The staff all strive to meet your every need as efficiently and unobtrusively as possible. The best way to describe the service at Sugar Bay is 'above and beyond'. There were 3 adults and 3 kids in our group. We were all spoiled rotten! The kids are still adjusting to life in the real world after getting used to the level of service at Sugar Bay. Ted met every need our girls had (turning on the hot tub at all hours, serving the girls lunch in bed when they were hiding from the sun, fun walks and activities he'd do with them) and we are adjusting to getting our own drinks again too! Nichole would make the kids anything their hearts desired (amazing pancakes, muffins, sandwiches, Mac and cheese, etc) and made us some of the best meals we've ever had. Nichole is a fantastic chef. Just let her do her thing, she's awesome. Peaches and Charm were more than just housekeeping, they entertained our girls like they would their own kids. Biggar was always working to keep the grounds beautiful and barbecues a mean lobster. It was all the little extras that made our trip so magical and special. I had a feeling from the first time I spoke to the lovely Joan about booking our time at Sugar Bay that this was going to be one fantastic trip. I wasn't wrong! Thank you! Can't wait to return!

We are just back home in Montreal from a reunion with friends in Jamaica. Our week at the Sugar Bay Villa has been a unique experience. The location on the shore of Discovery Bay, the elegant house, the lovely garden with its pergola, gazebo, infinity pool and sandy beach are a feast for the eye. We enjoyed swimming in the calm water of the bay and admiring the fish, urchins and sea anemones through our goggles. The staff is excellent, helpful and friendly. Ted, Nicole, Peaches, Charm and Bigga pampered us and served us delicious meals prepared by Nicole (whose secret ingredient is love, she says) at beautifully set tables with fresh floral arrangements. We have visited some thirty countries throughout the world but have never experienced the level of comfort and relaxed luxury that Sugar Bay Villa has to offer. Dream location for a family gathering

Our party of 11 people experienced a fantastic week to celebrate a family birthday. Nicholas, Nicole, Peaches, Bigga and Charm were wonderful right from the first minute through to our "all too soon" departure. You certainly cannot ask for a better setting, with Discovery Bay right there for swimming, kayaking and snorkeling.It was lovely sitting under the furthest gazebo, enjoying the sea breezes, chilling, reading, dozing, and jumping straight into the crystal clear sea to cool off. For our dining Nicole discussed what we wanted, and then produce fabulous food for every meal. Breakfast and dinner on the terrace, and lunch at the waterside, the meals were a real highlight, with a lot of great Jamaican food. One night we hosted dinner for around 20 people in total, and the quality of the meal and the service was as excellent as ever. When our rental car was delivered, Nicholas came out and helped me inspect the car to ensure that everything was in order. When we were due to leave, somehow Nicholas and Bigga were able to fit our luggage in to the 2 cars, and still leave room for the passengers. Just another couple of examples of the great service. Thanks to Joan and the wonderful staff for an unforgettable week. We hope to be back sometime.

Memory Making

We are a family of four and we recently joined up with friends and their kids for a dream come true week at Sugar Bay Villa - Discovery Bay. We arrived with high expectations and from the moment we came up the driveway to a warm Jamaican welcome from the staff we felt like special people in a special place. The kids were soon off exploring the sea together whilst we adults tucked into the first of many rum based drinks and contemplated a week of bliss. No cooking to be done, no washing up, no laundry, every whim catered for.... a real holiday stretched out before us. The house itself is beautiful, high ceilings and a gorgeous staircase welcome you in and the eye is immediately drawn through the house to the sea. Terraces, gazebos and a beautiful deck provide plenty of options for lounging and lunching and of course the crystal clear pool always beckons and naturally ends up being the place in which little and big kids spend many a happy hour. Spice that up with your very own kayaks off the beach or a spot of snorkelling (even close by the house we saw some colourful fish and decent corals) and the days are easy to fill as actively - or passively - as you could wish. Our bedroom (we were in the main) was gigantic with a view over the garden and out to sea. Lovely comfy bed which even had flowers on it when we arrived, a bathroom straight out of an advert.... The other bedrooms all looked spacious too, each with its own character but all top hotel standard yet nicer because of that feel you only get when you're in your "own" villa. We wish! What else? Well we played a lot of tennis, ate a lot of good food, marvelled at the way adults and kids all relaxed and got used to being looked after, developed a taste for mojitos, slept like babies and woke up every day refreshed and looking forward to being pampered some more. A blissful holiday which we would all have extended to a second week if we could. For groups of friends, extended family or families holidaying together this is a real treat and one that we could not recommend more highly. Sugar Bay is a memory maker, your slice of heaven in a beautiful part of Jamaica.

Heaven On Earth..Great Place To Reconnect With Your Family

Everything exceeded our expectations. From the planning with Joan (owner), to the villa, the views, the staff, and activities; it was all perfect. This was the most relaxing, while still active, vacation our family has ever had. It was awesome to not have to worry about anything including the cleaning, meals, activity scheduling, driving, and even making our adult drinks. We were truly pampered the entire time and felt so comfortable with all the staff. We left making new friends with the staff and our 3 children fell in love with them. Nicole (Chef) was very accommodating with the pickiness of our 3 children at meal times. Norvell was our driver for the entire week and he took great care of us and made us feel safe while doing activities away from the villa. Nicholas (Butler) taught our children so much about the island and all it has to offer including the plants/trees that produce fresh fruits, aloe to help with the mosquito bites, limes for our drinks, etc.. The kids loved the time he spent with them taking them on a hike, teaching them how to fish with a water bottle and how to play dominos, playing spoons, etc.. We even taught him about a Hoosier's love of basketball. Peaches and Charm provided warm smiles and pleasant greetings every morning and took care of all our cleaning and laundry needs. Bigga kept the grounds looking beautiful and was wonderful with the barbecue. We felt very safe the entire trip by having the added comfort of full time security through the night on the property. We laughed a lot and made memories which will be special to our family for a lifetime. We especially appreciate the time the staff took to make things special for us from our welcome upon arrival to our son's b-day celebration with a cake and beach bonfire. We spent a lot of time using the kayaks and gazebo. The gazebo truly is a place to call Heaven on Earth. The children also loved the tennis court but wished it included a basketball goal at one end for us Hoosiers! That, the mosquitos, and some temporary construction taking place one full day next door, were the only minor complaints anyone had. Overall, the villa accommodated the children, us parents, and the grandparents with something for everyone. The pictures can't begin to do it justice, so I would recommend anyone to go and see for yourself. You will immediately start planning your return visit. I know we are!

Four couples stayed at this villa for 7 days, and found the surroundings to be quiet and relaxing. The staff was excellent and met all of our needs in a prompt, courteous and charming manner. The villa is clean and very well maintained, as are the grounds, pool and beach area - though the beach is small with no extensive beach walking available. There are kayaks available for use as well as snorkel gear. We would suggest bringing mosquitoe repellant for the evenings. We would recommend this villa as the overall experience was very positive.

10 Years of Visits

Our family has been to Sugar Bay for each of the last 10 years -- and it has become a special part of our life. The setting is absolutely stunning, the food is phenomenal and the team of people who take care of you while you are here is extraordinary. Nicholas, Nicole, Bigga, Peaches and Charm make sure you absolutely feel at home -- it is hard to put into words how warm and friendly they are. We make the most of everything here -- the tennis court, hot tub and pool, the gazebos for napping and the kayaks for trips around the bay. This is a very, very special vacation spot.
