Perfect location

We stayed in this property for a week. To say it was disappointing is putting it lightly. When we checked in there was trash left on the counter from previous tenant. The property had a very musty odor and didn’t exude cleanliness. The property did not match photos on the listing. We needed to contact property manager due to a toilet having poop staining on the outside of the toilet bowl and not being properly cleaned from previous tenant. An upstairs toilet is not properly attached to the floor and almost tipped over. There seemed to be black mold in an upstairs bath. There were boogers left on a “clean” blanket. When we use VRBO we want to walk in and be comforted that the property is clean and prepared for us, this was not the case. We wondered if our bedding was actually clean, the bathrooms being property sanitized and just felt uncomfortable even sitting in the old couches provided. Two stars only because the pool and hot tub were nice.

We will check the mattress to check whether it is in need of replacement, however, we know that any mattress will not necessarily be to every guest's liking. Upon further review, we have replaced the king mattress and box springs.

For the price and amount of time we were there this property worked fine. It does need new carpet very soon. Otherwise for the price it worked for the short time we were there in the evenings.

It was really nice

Not what it seems!

The townhome was infested with roaches. The couch needs to be replaced. There is a wood board underneath the pillows. Overall it wasnt worth it. We did enjoy the pool!

Thank you for your review Michelle. I don't have a record of any messages from you in regard to the presence of pests, however, would have been happy to treat for them if contacted. We do have homes treated for pests on a regularly scheduled basis and can have someone in to treat it again within 24 hours if a problem is reported

Property management was great. Location is great. They need to hire a new cleaning company and do some general maintenance but it was okay. They were responsive to my concerns. I tried to take the trash out right before we left but the dumpsters weren’t where the map said they were and i wasn’t able to figure it out at 4am, so I suggest asking someone earlier because I felt bad about that part.

Cleanliness

Would have been nice to have a working dishwasher. Also, spend a few dollars to get a new toaster and frying pan. A measuring cup that’s not cracked . Also, the carpets should be shampooed. Extremely dirty plus the floors need to be swept. Other than the houses cleanliness, the house itself was quite accommodating. The resort itself was well kept and extremely clean. Grass cut, streets clean and pool and hot tub well kept. Everyone was extremely welcoming and very friendly. Dave the security guy was great.

Five Stars for location, and easy to deal with! But..

Location was wonderful. Company was easy to deal with. They were very generous in moving our date during Covid but, any updates are needed to this unit. Carpets, baseboard, coffee table, and couches are in serious need of a clean. It needs a new toaster, coffee, maker, and dishwasher. We had to fiddle with these things to get them to work properly. They definitely need updating. Location across from the pool was fabulous and everything else was wonderful. Just a few adjustments and it would be perfect.

not what we expected

the unit itself was smaller than it appeared in photos. We had an issue with bugs (pest control had to come twice in the 7 days we were there.) 115 degree weather and we were told not to turn the A/C below 75. We were a group of Scentsy consultants in Orlando for convention. We were told we had to cover the logos on our vehicles or they would be towed. Sprinklers at the grilling area go off at 7:30 and turn off at 8 when the pool and grilling area closed down. The unit is right across the lot from the pool so that was a plus. Thank you for taking the time to review our home. We have not altered the photos in any way and we provide the square footage of the home, so I am not sure why the size of the home was not clear. I note your concern about the recommendation on the AC setting. I also note that you mentioned that it was 115 degrees outside. We have not had a 115 degree day all year, so I am not sure where this reading came from. In addition, 75 degrees inside is the same temperature whether it is 90 or 115 outside, so I am not sure the relevance of this to your comfort. Further, AC has to run in cycles or it will freeze up. Residential AC units are designed to reduce the temperature by a minimum of 20 degrees. The temperatures in the area rarely get above 95, so we recommend a setting of 75 or above, so that the AC unit will be able to operate properly and continue to keep guests comfortable. In regard to commercial vehicles in Venetian Bay, you are correct, they are not allowed. Hopefully, this review will be helpful to future guests. While we warn about this, sometimes people might not understand things that will make a vehicle qualify as commercial.

Nice, but time for some updates

We stayed for a week. We appreciated that there was a first-floor ensuite bedroom/bathroom, and two additional full bathrooms upstairs. The four bedrooms were nice enough. I reported a few problems to the manager, and they were addressed promptly. Be prepared to buy (or bring with you) the basic things like seasonings (salt/pepper), Ziplocs or other storage bags, foil/parchment paper, dish and laundry detergent, shampoo... the normal things, but just a heads-up in case you haven't stayed in these places before. One small disappointment was no [additional] towels for the pool, but a quick trip to a Disney discount store resulted in towels we could keep. The property definitely needs a little love: some paint touch-ups, fix the ice maker, put plugs in the sinks; the sofas in the one main room were very low and my elderly in-laws had trouble standing up from them. Also recommend getting your own drinking water if you're not used to the local tap water - it smelled very strongly of sulfur. Not the owner's fault, just a reality. The kitchen was adequate for our needs. We were able to get to and from the Disney parks without using toll roads, which was a plus. Way less expensive than staying on Disney property, and more comfortable. The property is in a gated community, so make sure you come through the main gate when arriving.

Very desapoint

Bad experience with your company, did not recieve mail about the unit number - building and the security box for the key, check in at 4:00 and the house was not ready had to wait 20 more min and it was more than that , we finally check in at 5:00 the house was not clean and the AC filters was full of dirt ( horrible) and its look like your company have problem with the Security there were very unprofessional. in one word we had a very bad experience with your company.

Thank you for taking the time to review our home Alexis. I would not that you booked your December stay in June and we provided check in information at that time and you acknowledged receipt of the check in information at that time. We also provided check in information in November at the time of your final payment (which was paid late). In addition, when you arrived more than 4 hours before check in time and requested the check in information again, we provided this information to you within 30 minutes. Unfortunately, the guest who checked out the morning of your arrival checked out late, so we were only able to get the home cleaned by 5 pm. We also allowed you a late check out as a courtesy in light of this inconvenience. As you did not contact us at all during your stay, we do not know what issue you encountered with security at the resort, however, it might have had something to do with your very early arrival. AC filters are checked between each set of guests and replaced if needed.
