We had a wonderful stay at Odyssey Villa in Escaleras. The drive is an adventure, but once you arrive, the house and views are absolutely stunning—photos truly don’t do it justice. We previously lived in Hawaii with an ocean view and agree with other reviews that this view is somehow even more impressive, overlooking a lush green valley and Diamante Waterfall.The setting is calm and peaceful, with magical sunrises and sunsets. The infinity pool was a refreshing way to relax and take in the scenery. Our family was very comfortable, with three bedrooms each having en-suite bathrooms. The primary suite was especially memorable, with a bridge leading to a private deck and incredible views. The outdoor spaces throughout the property are exceptional.We loved seeing the resident toucans each morning. The kitchen was beautiful, well-equipped, and a pleasure to cook in while enjoying the view. While we didn’t use the private chef or on-site massage, they were great options to have.A true 4WD vehicle is essential—the hosts are very clear and correct about this. Our rental AWD struggled, but the hosts were incredibly accommodating. Roberto guided us up on his ATV, Diana welcomed us at the villa, and the property management team was helpful and professional throughout.We highly recommend Odyssey Villa for anyone seeking a beautiful home, unforgettable views, and a touch of Costa Rican adventure.
