    The worst accommodations ever!

    The host never answered messages, sometime 8 hours later. Three day stay, shower did not work. No attempt by owner to fix the problem. The whole place was disgustingly filthy! Mold and some sort of black vines growing from the attic hatch by the entrance door.

    Do not stay here!!! There is mold and mushrooms growing out of the ceiling; the toilet tank is missing a lid and does not flush; the cold water tap doesn’t work; we arrived late at night and the place had not been cleaned. Trash everywhere, no clean sheets; wet towels and linens in the bathtub. There was also a fake fingernail just lying on the sofa (which had pieces if duct tape on it). Messaged the host and took him forever to reply, he was not apologetic and didn’t seem to care that his place was disgusting and unacceptable for humans to stay in. I am in the process of refund request as it is truly the worst experience.

    Traveled to Dublin from the U.S. and had this booked in advance for our first night. I messaged the host several times about check-in and no response. I called the host several times and no response. My family and I waited near his place for hours and no word from the host. I called VRBO and they could not reach the host either. We ended up having to book another hotel late at night because we didn't know what else to do. The next day, I received a notification that the host canceled the reservation with the explanation, "Guest_Minimum_Age" and I was refunded my money. We are all adults so I don't understand that reasoning. Glad I got my money back but that was a horrible start to our trip.

    Read and Believe Reviews: Stay Away From This Property.

    It started with PILES of trash in front of the door to the building. Next, the apartment was on the third floor with no elevator (not disclosed). The apartment is tiny, with terrible furniture. But the worst was the black mold infesting the entry way (hatch to crawl space) indicating a major, longstanding leak somewhere. And yes, as said in a prior review (after we gad booked), actual fungi growing inside the apartment. And the attendant musty smell was awful. Property owner was unresponsive other than useless platitudes about not owning the building. EIGHT calls to VRBO later, we got a refund and they said that they were going to kick this property off of their system - we’ll see. Do yourself a favor: stay away. If you don’t, you can’t say that you haven’t been warned.

    Worst place I’ve ever rented!!

    After climbing three flights of gross dirty stairs, my family entered this apartment which is about 150 square feet- the size of a dorm room. The bathroom was filthy with several trash bags on the floor. The kitchen hadn't been cleaned; dirty dish towels hanging on the stove, dirty dishes in the sink, McDonalds trash on the small rickety table. The bed sheets hadn't been changed since the last occupants. After contacting the manager about it, we agreed to leave and have dinner while he came and cleaned. Clearly not too happy about the circumstances as we had just arrived from Iceland. Nonetheless, we stayed optimistic and went on our way. We returned to the apartment three hours later to find the place in the exact same condition. After fielding lame excuses from the manager and could no longer be patient and nice at 9pm. We left and found other accommodations and after many attempts at a refund, we eventually were given 1/3 of what we paid. Keep scrolling, you don't want anything to do with this rental!! In fact, if I were you, I'd leave VRBO all together. Their customer service is crap and if something like this happens, they will do nothing to help you.

    Dirty, Disgusting and Decrepit

    This listing assures us we will have an “unforgettable stay”. That much is true. The “fully stocked kitchenette” comes complete with moldy dishes. The “plush sofa” is a rock hard leather couch, accented by duct tape. Photoshop did some great work with this place. See my undoctored pics for the truth. The whole building stinks of mould and mildew and the bathroom was even worse. Although the kitchen cabinet was loaded with cleaning products, it doesn’t appear that they actually use them. I kept my shoes on in this place. The “plush” bed was the exact opposite of that, and the ancient, lumpy pillows even worse. The comforter smelled of cigarette smoke. Windowsills had dead flies in them and as you can see, the place was thick with dust. There are mushrooms growing out of the attic access. Mushrooms. I tried filling the sink to wash my face but there was no plug and since the there’s a tap for hot and a separate tap for cold, I grabbed a plastic bin from the kitchen to mix the two. The bin was covered in mildew. The location was its only saving grace but that cannot make up for the lack of cleanliness and total lack of maintenance. We had to keep the windows open to try to get rid of the stink, so the place was full of bugs as there were no window screens. If your hostel booking falls through, try this place. That’s the best recommendation I can give it. The promise of “lasting memories in this unforgettable retreat” is accurate….just not for any positive reasons.

    Finger weg von diesem Objekt

    Die von uns gebuchte und bezahlte Ferienwohnung wurde doppelt vermietet. Der Schlüssel wurde nicht wie vereinbart hinterlegt und auf Anfrage beim Vermieter hat dieser versucht sich rauszureden und meine Tochter, die schon in Dublin war, eineinhalb Stunden warten lassen, bis er bestätigt hat, dass eine Doppelbuchung vorliegt. Wir haben uns vor Ort eine andere Unterkunft angemietet. Finger weg von diesem Vermieter. Er stellt sein Objekt auf mehreren Portalen ein, was ja eigentlich keine Problem ist und gleicht Vermietungen dann aber offenbar nicht ab.
