Tradewinds Villa - 1BR/1BA in East End St. Thomas

This unit is located within the Point Pleasant Villa Owners Association Condominium property but is not part of the in-house rental program. What does this mean to you? A superior unit and service tailored to you for your dream vacation. We stand for the quality and upkeep of our unit, as it is our home away from home as well!

We have partnered with a long-time reputable local management company to maintain and operate the condo. Xaverie and her team work closely with us to provide our guests the best experience from pre-booking to check-out.

If you are new VRBO, please keep in mind that you are renting a private villa and you won't have the same services and staff available to you as you would in a hotel (such as concierge service, daily housekeeping, linen changes or turn down service). Our vacation home is your home for the week or for however long you have booked!

Our condo is located in the Point Pleasant Resort and is privately owned and operated.
While staying in the condo, you will have access to all amenities available in the Point Pleasant Resort. Please note that the availability of the amenities is not controlled by us, and in the unlikely event one or more amenities aren't available or functioning properly, we won't be able to provide compensation or refunds.

Guests will have private access to the entire condo unit, located in one of the hilltop buildings shared with other condo owners. There is a small owner's closet in the hallway that remains locked during your visit and will not be accessible.

Amenities available at Point Pleasant for you to enjoy:

- 3 pools to choose from (Shoreline and Terrace with ocean views, and Hilltop)
- 2 on-site restaurants (Sun & Sea Bar and Grille - a "come as you are" type of environment outdoors directly on the water, and Ocean 180 - a more "upscale" dining experience that serves steaks, seafood and has a good cocktail bar that can serve classic American cocktails in addition to island favorites)
- On-site shuttle (for assisting with moving around the resort only)
- Laundry room (coin operated)
- An intimate small beach (Sugar Beach), where you can swim, snorkel, and relax - chances are you may have the beach for yourself!
- Nature trail
- ATM machine, snacks, and beverages in the lobby area
- Small shop for some basic items in the lobby area
- "Captains Lounge", adjacent to the lobby
- 24x7 on-site security
- Gazebo overlooking the ocean
- Lots of steps and hills for your cardio exercises!

As private Hosts, we offer unique dates in our property and highly recommend purchasing "cancel for any reason" travel insurance which may cover many risks including airline cancellation and health emergencies at a minimal cost. We do not provide refunds due to airline cancellation, health emergencies, or power/Wi-Fi outages.

We are on a hill... and it's beautiful! However, all of the walking paths to reach pools, restaurants, lobby, etc, will involve natural stone steps or concrete steps, therefore you must be able to use stairs to visit these amenities!

Occasionally the island electric company (WAPA) will have issues with their service, and you may experience an unexpected power outage. The entire island power infrastructure relies on diesel generators, and at times outages can be island-wide. Sometimes outages only affect certain areas, but it has nothing to do with the resort or our villa so unfortunately there isn’t anything we can do about it. Outages could be for 10 minutes or for several hours. Should this happen, you’ll also temporarily lose running water (which also means no toilet flushing) but there will be bottles of water under the bathroom sink to pour in the tank if needed.

Should you experience a power outage, the restaurants on Point Pleasant have independent generators and so does the lobby and the Captains Lounge, but it’s a perfect opportunity to unplug and go to the beach or explore different places on the island. Most locals are used to this, but we truly understand this is not the norm for everyone else – hopefully you can roll with it and look around at the beautiful views and appreciate the beauty along with the quirks of island life! Bring a sense of adventure to one of the most enchanting islands in the Caribbean!

We always recommend renting a car to get around! It truly is the best way to explore. Having your own car allows you to explore on your own schedule. If driving during your vacation is not in your plans, don't worry... there are plenty of taxis (also referred to "Safari" here) available. Please be aware that in the US Virgin Islands, driving is on the left side. But don't let that be an intimidation -- it takes you no time to get used to this!
