Terrible service and did not stay!!
This was a terrible experience. We arrived here (it is very far from town!) and our very polite taxi driver was trying to tell us that it might not be what we think it is...he was right. First we could not find Delia (the landlady) and our taxi driver was calling her. Turns out she left her phone in another cottage while she entertained a friend in a different cottage (#6). Then when we found her after walking the grounds she had no reservation. Now this is not a huge deal, it happens and we sorted it because I had confirmation and Martha (the manager? in Italy) forgot to send my information. The problem here is the terrible and disrespectful way we were treated. Delia made us feel like we did something wrong. And when we commented (to the owner on the phone) that our cottage was rented out she got angry. We came to find out that is because she was sleeping there! And it seems she did not want the owner (Alessandro) to know. When we finally got things sorted and she was 'cleaning' the cottage we booked she did not change the sheets!!! She kept walking around grumbling and did not make us feel welcome in any way. Now with all this we noticed what poor shape the cottage and grounds were in. If we were treated better, like paying guests, we could have over looked all of that. But I cannot support a business that treats me so rudely. Funny thing is I read a comment the day before we arrived that said almost the exact same thing. We called our cab driving within 20 minutes and left. I asked for some kind of compensation as we did not stay and received such awful service but was told by the Manager ' you don't stay you don't get money back'. End of story. Ridiculous. Stay away from this place!!!!
