Home Away From Home-1.5 Miles to Square & 2 Mile From Campus

Location is the best thing about my house. It is walking distance to the historic Oxford square (1.5 miles) and 2 miles from campus as well. It is a great house for folks who like to be in and around the action. We have a fenced in backyard and pets are welcome. If you would like to have a cook out the back deck will be ideal. I have the house professionally cleaned before each rental. It matters to me that you enjoy your stay.

Great Ole Miss game day weekend

Great spot for a football or Ole Miss weekend. Gracious hosts and wonderful spot close to everything. I would highly recommend.

Short ride to the Grove

Super convenient stay and a short ride to the Grove. 1st time at Ole Miss and the experience did NOT disappoint. The host was very communicative and it was a seamless check in/out process!

The house was old but had everything you need to for a football weekend at Ole Miss. The deck was a great spot to relax at night.

Very clean, comfortable home

We were in town for a busy football weekend and Ole Miss tour. Heather went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable after a rough time getting to Oxford from Memphis without the rental car we had reserved but company sold out. Hindsight if I knew I wasn’t going to have a car, I would have tried to find something closer to campus but again, Heather was so accommodating and even offered to get us back to Memphis for our return flight and let us keep our bags in the house much later than the noon check out time. There were dogs left outside in the across the street yard that barked a lot and there is some highway noise. But again, Heather dropped off some earplugs to help us sleep and that did the job beautifully! The beds were comfortable and the house was spotless. Thank you!

Great house with a great deck

Overall we thought the house was great. We were in town for a football game and the house was close to the stadium as well as the square. The large deck outback was great at night as we were able to relax and enjoy the weather.

Perfect headquarters for a football weekend

Our group of three couples stayed here for the Ole Miss-Arkansas weekend. I thought it was perfect for a football weekend. If you want a Holiday Inn environment, book the Holiday Inn. It's an older house, obviously decorated and maintained by young men. Nothing frilly or fancy. The furniture all about comfort, not looks, and the pictures on the walls are old album covers. Good big screen TV for football. Made the guys feel like we were back in college. It is very clean, we were accompanied by our wives, they are very particular about that. The cleaning met their stringent standards. They were very comfortable with the house. The house was fine for three couples, we had plenty of room and were very comfortable. The back deck was great for am coffee and for grilling. The back yard is crazy big. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. The location was the best thing . Its an easy, pleasant walk to the Grove and the Square. No parking, no designated driver. You'll end up going out a lot more and having a lot more fun since its so easy to get around. The owner was very reliable, easy to work with and left us wine, beer and cookies No complaints, In the interest of full disclosure, we did see one cockroach in the kitchen Friday night. We had just arrived and may have let it in ourselves while bringing in the suitcases. We did not see another one the whole weekend, I'm am pretty sure this was an isolated thing and not a problem. Overall, really liked the house and would strongly recommend it for a football weekend. If it is still available in two years when the Hogs come back, we will definitely try to get it again.

Oxford Stay

Listing and photos were accurate. Property was clean and well maintained. Was a bit surprised to discover owner just moves out for the duration of rental and leaves all his personal items in house. Would recommend at least clearing out a bit of space in the closets. Also surprised when we came home one night and owner's roommate was in the house because he was unaware of our rental. That said, the owner was extremely helpful and went out of his way to assist us. The back deck was a pleasure, and the bird and squirrel watching a delight. Thanks for a great graduation weekend.

Our family has lived in Oxford for many years. My wife is a retired teacher and retired from Ole Miss. I am also a retired plant manager. Both my daughters and grand daughter graduated from The University of Mississippi. My grandson is currently a senior at the university. All of my children and grandchildren attended the local Oxford and Lafayette School district. Our family has been in this small community for over 35 years. We love Oxford and Ole Miss. We work together to ensure that our rental home is in top shape for football season.

This house is all about location. We bought this home as a second home. We have managed to keep the renters in the family. My daughters and grandchildren have resided in the home periodically. The house is located on a large lot with a fenced in yard. It is located at the end of Garfield. It is close to everything with plenty of space and privacy.

The main attraction to my house is the fact that it is close to everything you would want to do in town.
