Una casa frente al mar directa increíblemente adorable en el hermoso río Shenandoah. No se puede estar más cerca de la naturaleza que esto! Romántico y aislado con un montón de privacidad. Disfrute lo mejor de ambos mundos ... como acampar a lo largo del río, pero con todas las comodidades de un hogar. Casa cuenta con una gran terraza que se extiende sobre el agua junto con soportes de varilla y focos para una noche de gato de pesca. Disfrute de sentarse alrededor de la fogata para asar malvaviscos s'mores, o tal vez pasar un rato en su personal proyectado en tiki bar. Despierta con vistas completas de agua en el dormitorio principal con una cama de matrimonio y unido a su propio baño romántico con una bañera con patas originales. La segunda habitación es bastante acogedor y tiene su propia sala de polvo y también una terraza privada para el café de la mañana. Hay un montón de cosas que hacer y lugares a visitar en esta zona. La región vinícola de Virginia es justo en la calle y cuenta con una docena de viñedos que comienzan dentro de unos 12 minutos en coche. Usted tendrá que visitar la zona histórica de Harpers Ferry para una gran historia con los museos de la guerra civil, tiendas, restaurantes, pubs y calles de adoquines. Hollywood Casino y el hipódromo en Charles Town, Virginia Occidental es más o menos 15 minutos de distancia. Hay paseos a caballo, tirolesa, rafting, tubos, canoa y alquiler de kayak todo dentro de unas pocas millas. La lista sigue y sigue. Muchos de mi flotador invitados al otro lado del río y aguas abajo un poco para una compañía de barcos de alquiler y el tubo (río jinetes) que permitirá que usted les pague a viajar en el autobús aguas arriba con su propio tubo. De esa manera usted puede flotar de nuevo a la casa! Bastante guay eh ?! Bueno este es mi tiempo completo en casa. Lo guardo muy bien, limpio y ordenado, y solo lo aliento aquí y allá. Echa un vistazo a mis fotos y disponibilidad ... realmente es una joya y una visita obligada. Usted va a querer volver año tras año.

Beautiful!

We had a fantastic week! It was great to be right on the water. The house is adorable and set up well for guests. The hammock was my favorite place to relax! There is an active quarry and a railroad track across the river, so we heard quite a few trains and the drone of machinery but we didn't mind it too much. We're would definitely stay again!

Coolest Place We've Ever Rented

Neon Moon was so much fun. House was clean and comfortable with very well equipped kitchen. Owner thought of everything to make this place a wonderful relaxing get-away. Son and grand kids visited for a couple of nights and caught a bunch of catfish from the fishing pier and some small mouth bass with a fly rod in the river. The property has so many interesting spots to hang out in from the hammock deck, the camp fire ring, the band shell, the horseshoe pit and the screened in Tiki Bar. TV's in every room although we hardly watched any as we were enjoying the fantastic outdoor lighting. Just the place we needed to unwind after being sequestered in our home since March.

Fun and Comfortable River Front Vacation House

Our second time back and the place is still amazing. From the well equipped kitchen to the fishing pier over the Shenandoah, we entertained and reconnected with our kids and grandsons as they visited for a few days each. Neon Moon is a wonderland of lighted trees and shrubs at night. So many areas to enjoy like the fire pit for roasting marshmallows, the band shell with its bar and high top tables, the screened in porch where we relaxed and dined while enjoying the cool breezes. Great fast WiFi. Professional grade Sony Bluetooth speaker for music. Top of the line gas grill and a smoker. In short, all the amenities we could want for a lay-back relaxing week.

Birthday on the Shenandoah

My fiancée found Bryan’s place as a birthday getaway - I’m from the rural south and all I wanted was to be away from the city and on the water (I’m not a big beach guy but love being on rivers and lakes)… and Bryan’s home ABSOLUTELY delivered. The home itself was nicely secluded and incredibly comfortable. It was one of the nicest Vrbo homes we’ve been to. But the outside grounds and landscaping were the selling point! Bryan clearly put in a lot of time and thoughtfulness in setting up the exterior of his home… from fire pits, to lighting, to the outdoor bar and performance area… incredible. I almost wish we brought a bunch of friends to enjoy it all. But then, the Shenandoah was literally footsteps away!! 7am swims and floating on the water with a beer made this trip exactly what I wanted. I didn’t interact with Bryan personally, but he was always polite and courteous w/ my fiancée and also wasn’t intrusive with constant check-ins and texts… which is kinda what you want in a host… available but not prying. All in all, I would absolutely stay here again!!

Great Place!!

We spent a week at this amazing property and had a great time. When we arrived it was even nicer than shown in the photos. My kids had a great time fishing from the deck and caught plenty of fish!! We are already looking forward to going back next year and would highly recommend Neon Moon to anyone who is looking for a nice, relaxing and clean place to stay. The only negative I can give is that the roads when you get close to the house are narrow and not in the best of shape, but hopefully they will be repaired. Just go slow and watch for the potholes and you will arrive fine.

Hidden Gem!

Everything about this home is absolutely breathtaking, both inside and out. My husband and I were looking for a private place on the river for a vacation getaway with my mother in law and her husband. This house had so much more to offer than we could have ever wished for. There are so many different areas on the property to hang out which include the Neon Moon Cafe, the screened-in porch, the dock which sits directly over the river, the tiki bar, etc. The historic town of Harper’s Ferry is a must see. Also, There are several outfitters for kayaking and/or tubing within 20 minutes from the house. We brought our own kayaks and used one of the outfitters for their Shuttle service. We definitely plan on returning in the near future.

A Truly unique Riverfront Experience

We loved the Neon Moon! The property is a lovely small cottage on the banks of the Shenandoah River and the view alone of the river is worth the stay. Close to Charles Town and Harpers Ferry you can do quick day trips and then relax back at the cottage and watch the tubers float by on the awesome deck. Bryan is a great host and can be contacted if needed for any help. Highly Recommended for anyone looking to get away and relax!

The most beautiful house and yard with a lovely view.

We loved everything about this house! It was better than professionally decorated because the house and yard both are warm and quirky and inviting, with every detail perfectly addressed to delight. The most beautiful bathroom I’ve ever seen. On the one late afternoon when it turned dark and rained, we turned on the lovely outside lights and sat together and read and it felt like magic. A perfect house and yard for people in their seventies (two of them with difficulty walking) to enjoy painting and reading. We hope to be back!

Perfect getaway

My family and I wanted some time away to relax and connect as a family. Bryan’s home was the perfect choice. Very welcoming and felt like home. My children (ages 12 & 6) had so much fun and we also celebrated my 12 year olds birthday. Things couldn’t have been more perfect. We look forward to staying again!

House is really cute, outside neglected

Owner expects renters to scrup toliets, shower, vacuum and mop floors, because he doesn't employ maid service. Even though house is cute I would not recommend. Also, rather remote location.

Travelers are made aware of our cleaning policy prior to renting. It’s right in the listing… so it is disheartening that a known stipulation would result in a negative connotation. I would like to point out to potential renters that though our prior guests are expected to clean and leave the property in its same condition as upon their arrival, we also come in behind them to inspect and do any final touches and sanitizing. Please note that it is impossible for us to keep up with the fallen leaves, twigs, and nuts in the fall and winter months… it is not a matter of neglect. The property does show best in the Spring when the mulch is fresh, flowers are in full bloom, and leaves are still on the trees. I do blow off the decks a few hours prior to arrivals and leave an electric leaf-blower for guest use. As far as being a remote location… yes, we are. Most of our guest prefer the seclusion and to be surrounded by nature. In fact- this is one of our main attractions. Other guest’s reviews also state that this is an excellent central location for many of the area attractions. Please take a look at our profile picture to see what’s in store. Thanks!

Outdoor oasis!

This was our favorite trip of the year! Bryan's place is absolutely stunning with SO much to do onsite! We barely left the property and enjoyed the river view on the deck. The house is fully stocked with everything you need and the outdoor space is breathtaking! We went fishing, tubing, made s'mores over the fire, relaxed on the deck and hammock, had some drinks in the tikibar/sunroom. Bryan was very responsive when we reached out. We would love to make this place a vacation tradition!!

Great Getaway

Me, my partner and our 12 yo son from the DC area had a wonderful stay here over a long weekend. We visited Harpers Ferry, Shepherdstown, hiked, biked the C&O Canal, fished, and floated on the river. Close to everything. The house and outdoor patio and deck are wonderful. Very clean and owner has thought of everything you need for an easy stay. The only thing I wasn't aware of when we booked was the need to clean the house before we left. Not a big deal, and I probably just missed it in the fine print, but it took a bit about an hour to clean up before we headed home. Make sure you plan for that. All said, truly wonderful and will definitely plan to go back soon.

Quick getaway

This was a hybrid vacation with my bestie for a few days and my own family a few days. Very very clean inside and well appointed !!! Outside needs some upkeep but overall - great place to chill and hang out. We hiked daily and grabbed dinner at The Press Room and Brix. Highly recommend both. We enjoyed our early morn and evenings at Neon Moon watching egrets, herons, and bald eagles. It was also fun watching lots and lots of tubers going down the river. Wifi and cable etc. excellent. For $*** a night you won’t get lighters, torch fluid, ice, wood, towels, tp, pt, soap, sheets, games, outdoor games, floats, but you do get a cleaning checklist bc YOU are the cleaning service. I guess have faith that those before you are good cleaners and bring sheets towels bug spray lighters games outdoor games tp pt shampoo soap etc etc There is a fantastic Aldi down the road. Overall we enjoyed our time here and Bryan was a very responsive host . The home is well cared for inside and clean. BEST water pressure too!! Bedroom with powder room has best mattress. Owner bedroom mattress “ok”. You will enjoy the peace this place provides and the relaxation it will induce. You’ll get used to the train and sump pump sounds. I hope to come back in the fall. It would be a beautiful time to visit.

Wonderful place to relax!

Everything about this property screams relaxation - from the lovely interior of the home to the many outdoor areas, this property has it all! Directly across the river from River Riders, it was easy to wade across for access to their tubing run. You can watch the daily visits from a family of deer, roast s’mores at the fire pit, swing on a hammock or just do nothing at all! All just 20 minutes from Historic Harpers Ferry. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, and Bryan was a wonderful host!
