Great apartment

Can walk to the lake and places several places to have a great tasting meal . The apartment was clean. No problem being on the second floor. We like our stay there, thank you.

Our stay began with well over an hr trying to figure out where our unit was & how to get into it. The entire property area is in disrepair & shows serious neglect! Trash filled bags, furnishings littered around. Signs showing the property had only been cleared the day before for pest control treatments that were dangerous to humans & pets were very concerning. Yellow safety tape still on railings to the stairs. Was our unit even safe for us to enter when we finally found it? Info I rec’d through messages was both confusing & incorrect. Phone calls to Traverse with the we at last found the unit. key lockbox was extremely difficult to open it took multiple tries. there was no lighting at the top of the stairs. Hard to fig out how to get lights on in the unit.The inside of the unit shows equal neglect & was dirty. Hair & dirt/dust clumps on the bathroom floors & the small bedroom/ Table lamp possibly broken had to b removed from the room. The sectional sofa in the living area is overly worn & has tears & ground in dirt in the leather. 2 chairs wobble & aren’t sturdy. No lamp in this room. Just a fan/light fixture. There was no WiFi or TV the entire time we were there. Attempts to resolve were met w platitudes from calls & messages when they were answered. Floors filthy! Requested they be cleaned, but never were. Called Vrbo Care to report the problems & lack of response from Traverse. Reported lack of smoke & CO detectors, a direct violation of FL law!! Avoid this property
Extremely worn furniture. The whole space looked like it was furnished with cast offs & thrift store furnishings. & not in an attractive way.
Shower heads not adjustable & not useable despite the bathroom looking to be fairly recently remodeled.
Inside of the primary bathroom cabinet.
Broken lamp Another light fixture had a power cord “repaired” w electrical tape at the plug

Hands down the WORST rental we have ever stayed in. The good points are few: spacious and location. The property manager: Travel with Traverse, offered little to no help with the property's issues that we found. There were numerous discrepancies with the property description and what is actually there. Here are just a few:-There was no designated parking. -There was a strong cigarette smell throughout the apt. We had to buy air freshener. Traverse did not come by or offer to purchase any. -The furniture in the front room was very dated and worn. The 2 chairs were broken and wobbled from side to side. The lounge portion of the sectional was on wheels that were broken -We never had WiFi, internet, or TV for the entire stay.-The outside light that illuminates the stairs leading to the second floor apt. is brokenWe can overlook many of the false claims in your advertising but we would never have rented this unit if the description included no WiFi, no internet, no tv, smoking permitted and relaxing on dated broken furniture. We feel that we were misled through false advertising and by way of compensation a 50% refund of the total rental fee would be appropriate.Although Travel with Traverse did respond to emails, they did absolutely nothing to solve the problems. Nobody came by to simply change a light bulb or buy air freshener. Travel with Traverse couldn't be bothered. What a joke. Avoid properties managed by TWT! I know I will.
