Welcome to the Bancroft Bungalow! This peaceful, charming home is centrally located in North Park, SD and walking distance to many bars, restaurants, coffee shops and Balboa Park. The home is situated in a quiet neighborhood filled with California Craftsman homes.

With the surrounding neighborhoods of Hillcrest, University Heights, and South Park located nearby, this house is perfect for those looking to explore historic SD neighborhoods. And finally, the beach is only a 15 minute drive away.

The home features 2 bedrooms, each with a queen bed and 1 full bathroom. The kitchen has all the appliances needed to cook your favorite meals, and a grocery store is located a short walk/drive away. The property also features an outdoor patio area for relaxing and enjoying San Diego's beautiful weather.

We had a wonderful time there, the location is great and the space was great. The host was very responsive. We appreciated being able to change our reservation to a later date when health problems came up. We would stay there again.

A friend and colleague and I stayed for a week for a conference, so that we needed not only a place to stay, but also to work together and have some privacy at the same time.Andre's bungalow provided all of that: it is very comfortable, easy to share, has all the amenities you could want - and all of that in the heart of North Park, walking distance to e.g. Santos Coffee and Grand Ole BBQ, to name two of my favorites.Andre himself was very open, helpful and responded promptly to all requests.I can warmly recommend his place!

Andre was a very considerate host. When we entered the home we found a bottle of wine for us and bottled water in the fridge. I really appreciated the stock of k cups that were available.The cozy little house had all we needed. It was in a very nice convenient neighborhood. If we have occasion to visit San Diego we will definitely consider staying here again.

Cozy and quiet location in North Park - tucked away from the street

Great place to stay- the host accommodated a last-minute request to stay another day as our original flight home was canceled. I highly recommend the VRBO and am grateful to the host!

Great location and cute, comfortable house

We enjoyed our stay in North Park. The location is great, short walk to several bars, restaurants, coffee and shops. The parking on the street was easy and the host was very nice and communicative. The house has 1 air conditioning unit so the bedrooms get hot and it took a long time to cool the place down enough to sleep. Thankfully there were several fans in the house so we stayed comfortable for the most part. Overall, good experience and would recommend!

Cozy and Quiet

This small back house bungalow was in a quiet part of North Park, but close enough to walk down to University Ave. where there are tons of restaurants, coffee shops, etc. Parking for the house is on the street, but there is plenty of space.

Family vacation

Great house and location! Couldn’t ask for a better location close to everything. Had all the amenities. Easy street parking. Easy check in and communication with the host. Could use some more kitchen dishes, cooking and storage containers. Definitely would stay here again!

Half marathon

Me, my wife and sister in law stayed at the Vrbo this weekend for the Rock and roll half marathon. We are all originally San Diego locals so we had a packed schedule seeing friends and family. The Vrbo was a great location and walking distance to everything. Clean place.

North Park Rental

Overall our stay was comfortable. The general location of the house put us within easy distance of North Park and area businesses. The property itself was ok. While it suited our needs, it wasn’t anything special. The description did not say it was actually located behind another home. You need to enter through a back gate blocked by cars from the front house. After going through the gate, you need to walk down a path that allows you to see directly into the front house which was awkward. The property needs some TLC for sure as the couch and area rugs are looking worn and dingy. Overall our stay was fine and Andre responded quickly to my messages but the pictures and description of the property are somewhat misleading.

Enjoyed the neighborhood and the house. We loved the area too. It was close to everything we wanted to do. We never drove more than 4 miles including to Balboa Park, Old Town, Little Italy, the ferry to Coronado and the airport. Perfect for first time visit!

This property is in the very cool North Park neighborhood. Restaurants, breweries and Balboa Park are within walking distance. Short drive to the water and all the sights and activities there. Recommend!.

A delightful retreat from convention bustle

Stayed here during a large convention, and it was just close enough to be convenient, but far enough away from the noise and chaos from that many people. Returning here after a long day truly felt like a respite. The host communicated the exact right amount to be welcoming, but not intrusive. When I come back for next year's convention, this place will be my first choice.

North Park Excursion

We enjoyed our stay in this VRBO. It is located in a quiet neighborhood, comfortable, and close to Balboa Park, downtown and the waterfront. There is a lack of dinner plates and food bowls in the kitchen area, which was otherwise well equipped.
