Awful experience

Got to the house a little early owner and dog were still in the house at 3:30 PM. There’s no way the house would’ve been clean. It made me so angry. I wound up booking another house. I would understand if they keep my deposit, but I really think I should not be charged the remaining balance. Host was terrible communicating with me!

Our favorite! Worry-free!

Ideal worry free spot to relax at the beach with kids & grandkids! This is our 2nd stay at Ocean’s Edge. It’s an older property with a great floor plan and a comfortable “lived-in” feel. Everything we needed was there. The furnishings are well used & well loved. (We’ve rented newer, fancier properties on this beach but this house is our favorite!)

S Ponte Vedra Stay at Ocean's Edge

The redeeming quality was the closeness to the beach and the views. We were not notified until one hour before check-in that on the north side of the house the A/C was not working, and it was not fixed until the next day. The house needs a better cleaning crew, The bathroom doors were caked with soap scum, there were cobwebs under beds. Two of the pillows in the south side master smelled like dog pee. There was even a dog crate in that closet, why? The property needs a lot of care, I am glad we didn't have little kids running around barefoot as they would have cut their feet on the nails on the back porch. Overall, would not stay there again. For the price paid, we expected way more than we got. Just awful.

Great Beach Spot

This is a great property with lots of space for all. Great parking, beautiful view, nice added amenities like high chair and virtually no stairs except to go down to beach. Great view of Atlantis from most rooms. Weather was awesome. Everyone enjoyed it. Would have liked some basic cable channels, maybe that's what firestick was for?? Little bit of drive to restaurants and grocery. Reef restaurant close (3 miles) and really delicious!!

Beware the mold

The home has a nice layout and is in a great location. Mold is on the ceiling in two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Air conditioner and heater did not work well. One kitchen trash bag and four rolls of toilet paper was not enough for eight people and four days. Televisions in 3 bedrooms did not work.Television in family room had streaming channels but no broadcast channels.

Good vacation

The house was spacious and very close to the beach. You could even hear the waves while sleeping. The house was not updated as stated in the description. But beautiful decorated and comfortable. The only two issues we had were the following: 1) All of the four rooms had tvs. However, one tv did not have a remote and the remote to the other tv never worked. Be sure to take your computer, ipas, or tablet to stream your personal cable. 2) I contacted the property manager before the trip and during the trip to discuss the issues with the TVs. The manager NEVER RESPONDED. All in all we had a good trip because we always travel with our iPads.

Beach trip with friends

We had a very enjoyable time. The location is wonderful. Not many things are better than sitting on the porch, looking at the waves and watching the sun rise. The house was clean, everything we needed was provided and being all one level was great.

An older property but with a gorgeous view.

This home has a stunning view with all new windows all along the ocean front side. There are 4 bedrooms and 4 baths which made it very comfortable for our extended family to stay. They also have a very large dining table that is perfect for large family meals or game playing. The property is older so don't expect updated bathrooms or a large kitchen. But there is plenty of room and we never got tired of the view. Overall, we loved our stay!

Oceans Edge 2022

Oceans Edge is all about being at the beach! Old house, lived in feel that you can be comfortable bringing your kids and dogs to. This is not a luxury beach house however has everything you need for your stay and of course the star of the show …. The beach is steps away from your back door! The property management is stellar.

Excellent Location. The beach house while designed was in need of updating.

We really enjoyed the size, design and location of the beach house. Very Family friendly. However the home is need of working windows did not have any screens, did not have a functioning light over dining area, and did not have a functioning microwave, and needs functioning blinds. The wonderful beachfront deck could use a outdoor picnic table. None of the foregoing issues prevented us from having a great week, and we would certainly consider renting again at an increased rate if the foregoing items were repaired. While the management company came out once to try to fix the circuit to the microwave, it did not function and there was no attempt to fix the dining light fixture and living room lamp. Again despite these issues we had a great week.

Oceans edge for real

This is an older home and we loved it!!! With children and dogs we felt right at home. It was well supplied with kitchen items and with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms everyone had their own space. I would suggest a king mattress pad as they are really 2 twins pushed together. We will definitely stay again!!!

Perfect location

We really enjoyed our stay at the Oceans Edge. When you first walk through the door the aroma and decor of going to visit grandma at her Old Florida cabin hits you. There is plenty of room for multiple families. Large fenced in front porch for the kids or dogs to run around. Grill is stored the garage and is easy to move to the front porch area. Large back deck that leads right onto the beach. A beautiful view of the sunrise and ocean. We saw several pods of dolphins during our stay. This older home is need of a few minor repairs. It would have been nice to open the windows for a nice cross breeze. If the yard was maintained, you could have a nice little firepit to sit around at night. The beds are not real comfortable. Would be nice if they supplied some beach towels. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

Horrible DO NOT RENT THIS HOUSE

I want a refund for this stay. No heat when we arrived on the coldest day of the year. Heavy wooden blinds in the bedroom fell on my head when I tried to lift them up to see ocean. I got a big bump on my head. If a child was under the window, it could have killed them. There were rotten bananas in kitchen with fruit flies all over them. It was so dirty. Sheets were not clean, had make up on them. The shower was rotting away and the faucet dripped. The windows were so dirty, you could not see the through them and the entire reason for renting this house was to see the ocean. This house should be taken off the market and made safe and livable.

Dog dander problem!

Our 5 y.o.grandson woke up to puffed eyes and breathing problems. The bed in which he slept was previously used by a dog. The mattress was not cleaned well. Washing machine had dog hair in it. Dust bunnies/sand through out living room. No directions for TV use. No network stations.We re-cleaned the place. *******Lovely location. The house layout was very nice. Wonderful beach.

GREAT Location - Needs Work

We just checked out of Ocean's Edge yesterday. The location of the house is amazing and we LOVED the proximity to the beach. You don't even need to take a cooler to the beach because the house is so close. It is sizable and it was great that everyone had their own bathroom. However, this house has many issues. We didn't mind that it is an older home. We knew that going in, but I wouldn't rent this house again and here are the reasons why: 1. The furniture is dirty and terribly uncomfortable in the living room. 2. You cannot enjoy the amazing views because the windows are filthy. The seals are broken in many of them and half of the blinds do not work and the cords are knotted. 3. The microwave in the kitchen does not work. We tried the fuse box and everything. My husband found a microwave in the master closet that worked so we used that one or we would have called management. 4. Half of the outlets in the house do not work. 5. The cookware in the kitchen is old, mismatched and looks dirty. We washed everything before using it. 6.. The house is right on A1A which is fine, but leaving the house is very dangerous. You cannot see to pull out. The foliage needs to be cut back. 7. The yard is overgrown which caused the bugs to be awful. It should be manicured since it is dog friendly. You can't even walk into the yard. This house has so much potential. It could be incredible!!

Fantastic ocean front

Nothing beats being right on the beach - and this house has a fantastic spot, steps from the beach. We enjoyed our stay very much. As per other reviews, I agree that the house is dated and could use some updates and lacks some of the amenities I am used to at other places. But overall, loved our stay and would recommend staying here.

It’s hard to beat the location of this property. Boogie boarding , fishing , sea shell collecting and all types of beach activities are literally out your back door. We will repeat !

Great family times

Property was nice for our times together. It was great having the dogs with us. Great being right on the beach. Had problems with the TVs in the two twin bed rooms.

Old, not maintained, not clean and no air.

This fell well short of expectations and not even close to a relaxing vacation. A/C was broke in day one and took 24 hours to fix. Place was not clean, mold in dishwasher, toilets not clean cobwebs everywhere, lights not functioning and shower head fell off on last day. Called property manager several times for some restitution but never got a response. Was told today after checking out two days earlier that I may get a response in a week???

July 4th week vacation

The house was very clean which is especially important these days. There is no getting around that it is dated especially the air conditioner on one side and the kitchen appliances. The refrigerator was a little small at the beginning of the week to store enough food for an entire week for a family and we kept our drinks in coolers! Overall though, the layout of the house was nice and you couldn't ask for better access to the beach and views!! We would definitely rent here again.

Great break from Pandemic

Property was as described as pictured. Dated, but great access to beach and location. Everyone had their own bathroom bedroom which was great. We picked a great week ... weather was perfect.
