This unit has been almost completely remodeled including a new sofa, chairs, wall art, a revamped bedroom, new flooring, a new 50 inch Smart TV and colorful balcony furniture!

Save money for you adventures by preparing meals in the well-stocked kitchen or just stay on-site and enjoy the numerous amenities like sparkling beachfront pools, a tropical tiki bar, a fitness center and more! Calypso Resort 1003 (Tower 1) promises a pleasing escape that wins over the even the toughest crowds.

Note: Calypso HOA charges a $60 per vehicle parking pass fee for up to 2 vehicles obtained online in advance. You will be sent a link to register your vehicles. Parking is as convenient as it gets in a large secure gated and lighted parking garage across the street

Great location and view

We loved staying at this property! The view of the beach was perfect and the sunsets were amazing!! Location was great to Pier Park, beach, stores, and restaurants.

Clean, Cute and Comfortable

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed here several times, and always enjoy our stay! We love the location, and this unit is always clean and comfortable! This time, we found the bed to be squeaky, even with slight movements. Aside from that annoyance, the condo itself was great! We had several communication issues with the management company which caused us stress with check-in and parking. Fortunately, the owners and the condo association helped us.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo is in a great location especially if you have older children since Pier Park is across the street. It had bare minimum for pans, bowls, and very dull knives. If you plan to cook during the trip, you should take that into consideration. The master bed was very uncomfortable and squeaked with any little movement. The property is very nice with the pools, workout facility and fire pits. I highly recommend Calypso, but I would definitely not stay at this condo until they fix these issues.

Quiet complex

We really enjoyed this unit at Calypso. Very cute! And the complex was nice and quiet which was surprising since it’s tight by Pier Park. We will be back again! The check in was a little stressful as I couldn’t find the email, we had to wait on adding the second car and then had to wait another 10 minutes to get in. But overall we understand that once kinks are worked out this is a great parking pass system. There were hairs and sand in master bed. So we don’t feel like the housekeeper cleaned the sheets. But we would stay here again aside from that.

Pots and pans

Our view from the balcony was picture perfect. I loved having my own room with private bathroom away from the girls. The location was great. There are a few things with the condo and building that I think are important when staying a week. 1st. The elevators are horrible. Upon arrival I almost got stuck in the one by itself across from the 2 others which one was not working. When there is heavy traffic up and down the floors of the building it’s almost faster to take the stairs, even up to the 22nd floor. People are hot and tired some drunk and get upset when having to wait 10 minutes for a ride up to their floor. 2nd. The units selection of pots, pans and cookware are in horrible condition. The frying pan I used burnt my meat because the Teflon had been wore and scratched off and the cookware looked as if it were not cleaned from previous guest using. I find it nice to have Tupperware in most condos I have stayed to store my leftovers but this unit had none so I had to purchase a frying pan and Tupperware for my stay. Maybe a few updates such as cabinets and furniture and a tv with built in dvd player. CAll those remotes made me not watch tv but 1 time and then I couldn’t get it to come back on so I didn’t mess with it. Other than those things it was nice to get away. I enjoyed myself

The condo is in need of renovations, the stove was rusted the tiles were cracked in the floor, the bed was like sleeping on a rock. The refrigerator barely got cold enough to keep the food. Didn’t know we had to supply our own toilet paper, paper towels and wash our own towels and wash rags in order to have fresh ones each day. Very disappointed in the stay and the way teens are aloud to just run amuck all over the resort and sneak in the pool area at all hours of the night.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have loved calypso for many years, however this room was in need of maintenance. Tile floors are cracked, ice maker and water in fridge had mold all over the dispenser. The bed has seen better days, even a deep breathe caused squeeking and the springs were not comfy. Calypso was great, staff as well as always however the room itself left a lot to be desired.

Perfect family vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The condo was beautiful and exactly what we were looking for. Could use a good deep clean, but otherwise perfect. Amazing location!

Overall ok

Location great, unit needs to be better cleaned. Balcony floor and unit floors need to be scrubbed, turned bare feet black. Master mattress needs to be replaced, very uncomfortable. Bedding old and dingy. Door code was inactivated well before 10 am on check out day. Overall able to overlook most of these things due to the convenience of the location to pier park and Walmart. Would stay at Calypso again but not this unit without guarantee of better cleanliness and updated bedding/mattress.

Limited amenities

Clean and good location! Don't forget anything including coffee filters, trash bags, or Ziploc bags because it's not stocked! Don't think taking trash out should be renters responsibility since a steep cleaning fee is charged. Gym was closed due to Covid-19 so rent should have been reduced. We still workout when we vaca, so we were disappointed. I sent owner a message via VRBO and never received an answer. Free beach chairs or any other extras did not come with condo, as most other rentals did.

Great location and very cute!

The pictures are accurate and we had everything we needed. The view from the balcony is magnificent and the chairs were bar height, which made it easy to see the Gulf above the railing. We had a maintenance issue and the Property Manager went above and beyond to help. I would definitely stay here again and happily recommend it!

Royal America was great room was nice and clean only issue was the pools were really nasty and dirty

We stayed at the Calypso on the beach. The room was so clean and cozy. The only issue i had was with the pool the first day we got there it was clean but by the third day it was so nasty it had a white film on top of the water and so much trash and bugs were in the pool it was terrible. And what makes it worse there are 2 pools and both of them were nasty. Other than that are stay was great.I will definitely be using Royal American again.
