Stunning Marin County home with pool
This spacious five-bedroom Marin County Craftsman home is just 13 miles from San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge and boasts a large yard with a quintessential California estate-like vibe. Mature trees, verdant gardens and a sparkling pool surround a completely remodeled, open plan four-bedroom home which also has a detached cottage for a total of five large beds. Comfortably sleeps ten.
Enjoy the large, modern chef’s kitchen, three full bathrooms and much more. This incredible home is walking distance to one of the cutest upscale towns in Marin County (San Anselmo) and is arguably one of Marin's greatest homes in which to entertain.
Situated away from the small, quiet street, the residence opens onto an airy, large living room that features two couches and a cozy reading nook, a vaulted ceiling with RH chandelier, fireplace and extra-large double windows that overlook an 80-foot redwood tree and babbling creek. The living room flows easily into the dining room which can easily entertain eight diners at the large farm-style dining table.
The bright den, right off the dining room, features expansive 15-foot bi-fold doors which slide all the way open to let nature inside the home and completely transform the space. The den has large cozy couch, rocker, Lay-Z Boy, large flat screen and two stand-up work stations.
The large "chefs kitchen" is perfect for entertaining, overlooks the pool and its showcase piece is its 8-burner Viking range with double oven and stainless hood. The state-of-the-art kitchen blends into the den for classic open plan entertaining. Pour yourself a glass of rosé and enjoy! The kitchen has miles of counter space including a large island with seating for two and also a bar/peninsula with additional seating for two. A large stainless double fridge is nearby and the pantry offers everything a "Top Chef" might need; microwave, blenders, toasters, Nespresso, air fryer, you name it.
Hardwood floors with radiant heating span the entire home on both floors. This luxurious "no blow" heating system reduces allergens and the warm floors are so, so cozy on the feet.
Down the hall downstairs is a full bathroom with large shower, double sinks and access to the outdoor pool area.
The spacious and bright upstairs features four bedrooms and two more full bathrooms. The large primary bedroom has oak floors, vaulted ceilings with two very large windows overlooking majestic redwoods, a small creek, and even has glimpses of nearby Mt Tamalpais. This primary bedroom has an extra-large "California King" bed and large closets. Its en suite bathroom opens via a stylish sliding blue barn door and has a huge Kohler "Tea for Two" two-person soaking tub, shower, vanity and sink. Luxe everywhere you look.
Down the hall are three more bedrooms, each carpeted and with large windows that bring in lots of natural light, large closets and views of the pool or the gardens below. Each of these three bedrooms features comfy queen beds.
The largest bedroom on this side of the home (which can also double as another "primary" bedroom) has two double closets and a blow your-mind just-remodeled en suite bathroom with a large soaker tub, large walk-in two-person shower with bench, double sinks and top of the line RH lighting.
Two more upstairs bedrooms feature queen beds, closets and lots of natural light.
The estate also offers a beautiful detached, modern cottage just steps from the main residence, beautifully nestled below a mature Japanese maple tree. This well-lit extra comfy space has a queen bed and is a real bonus, offering a quiet space away from the main house. With this cottage, the property has 5 large beds and comfortably sleeps ten.
The just-remodeled pool area is its own paradise; heated pool with easy electric safety cover (for kids), plenty of loungers, large fire pit, large umbrellas and more. This is California – so enjoy it!
The properties garden, mature trees, pool area, and several interior and exterior areas offer unlimited indoor and outdoor entertaining possibilities. Two large Japanese maples, and pear, apple, nectarine, lemon, lime and fig trees are all available for the picking. Antique brick walkways separate the large yard into several unique areas, each its unique niche (and perfect for kids to explore). Gas BBQ and two large picnic tables and multiple seating areas ensure easy outdoor dining and several seating areas on the front and back porch offer even more choices.
The garage is a well-used "functional space" and full of what you'd expect; LG washer and dryer, sink, extra fridge, tools, some shelving, etc. There is also a second refrigerator in the garage for even more storage.
The entire property is fenced and gated and set back from the street so it’s very, very quiet and secure. The property is solar powered with radiant heated floors throughout and also offers a complementary JuiceBox EV charging station. A carport is also in the gated back yard.
Our guests have access to the entire property, main home, cottage, yard, garden, pool and garage, save one or two upstairs closets where personal belongings are stored. If we are not nearby during your stay, we have a team available to answer any questions and solve any issue that might arise.

Long time homeowner in cute little town of San Anselmo. We enjoy walking to town for shopping and restaurants, nearby hiking/biking, and superb weather. We are looking for a 3-4 week rental in late September/early October 2026 and have some flexibility on dates so reach out and lets discuss possibilities.
