Spectacular lakefront home with room for the extended family, sleeps 10-12 (6 adults & 6 kids, works great for 2 families). This private Balch Lake waterfront home is in a quiet cove has everything you need for an amazing vacation…. private dock to tie your boat or jet skis. Boat launch directly across our dock, a private beach with a shallow sandy area perfect for kids and their floaties…. oversized fully furnished rear deck is ideal for cooking, entertaining & watching the sunrise or set. Kayaks, canoes, paddle board, cornhole, fishing, swimming and a large open fire pit are just some of the activities available on the property. This home is a short drive to grocery stores, North Conway for shopping, Wolfeboro, Lake Winnipesaukee & a 10 minute drive to the nearest golf course. It's a great launching pad for day trips to the White Mountains, Santas Village, Storyland, Mt. Washington & the Kanga Mangus Highway to name a few, not that you’ll ever want to leave the lake!!!

This contemporary home had an extensive renovation in 2023 & is the perfect place for friends and families to share - featuring a brand new fully outfitted kitchen with breakfast bar and dining area, 3 different sleeping levels, 2.5 bathrooms, air conditioning, central heating, a classic wood burning stove, a kids specific room with bunk beds, washer/dryer, a screened-in porch, tons of board games and essentially high speed WIFI for work or streaming with smart TVs.

The lake is very tranquil and quiet. Great way to relax and enjoy family time. Huge deck with great seating to enjoy. Favorite part was the sandy beach. The owner provided several kayaks, a paddle board and a great canoe that were easily launched from beach. Wish we could swim from shore but there was too much vegetation in water. Rafts and tubes were fun alternatives. The house was very comfortable and kitchen well equipped. Definitely an awesome vacation!

The interior didn’t appear to be as clean as it should have been. We understand it’s on a lake, but if cleaning had been done prior to our arrival, the floors would not have been so dirty, and cobwebs not visible throughout the house. The ACs worked well. Kitchen was very functional, and had everything we needed. The bathroom located on lower level with bunk room was not fully functional. Could only be used as urinal. We used the grill, and table outside, but didn’t use the couches, due to cushions being wet from the rain. We also had a very nice time at the fire pit.

We had a lovely stay. The open living room and kitchen, just off the very large deck, were great.Lovely lake and good canoeing and kayaking!

There were some wonderful things about this home, but some issues that over shadowed the positives. The house is in need of a deep cleaning, and all the windows washed. On our first day, I cleaned all the AC units filters to get the house cooling. The main exterior unit is broken, so we were relying on several smaller units.The main floor layout is nice, with comfortable chairs & couches. Almost all the pots n' pans (teflon) should be tossed, because of wear & scratches. The frig is plenty big, but the ice maker doesn't work, and there is only one ice try.The deck is large with a lot of seating, but it is old, and weathered. I spent over an hour cleaning the gas grill to feel confident in using it. No, I don't have OCD.You cannot swim off the dock, because the cove bottom is mushy. The kayaks, canoe, and paddleboard were fun. There are some resident geese that wander onto the beach & property, so there's little treasures here & there.If you are planning on using the basement level with the bunkbeds, it has a musty smell. The washer, and dryer units worked fine.We did not think this house was worth 4K a week. It could be, but not yet.

We had a wonderful family vacation at this home. The lake is beautiful and quiet. The house is very comfortable and has everything you need to make family meals, enjoy the property and the lake. The upstairs bedroom is open to the living room/kitchen area and does not have air conditioning (which was tough with a couple of very hot/humid days we had). It was very easy to communicate with the property manager.

Beautiful and private property on the lake. Family enjoyed kayaking and fishing, evening fire pit fires, barbecuing on the deck and family togetherness in the open concept kitchen/livingroom

Fishing Tourney

The property and house were very well kept. Both property manager and owner were very responsive to any inquiries we had during our stay. The only issue we had was the mini split was not blowing cold air, but the 2 small window units did a somewhat good job at cooling the house while there. Overall, the place was great and we enjoyed the house and exterior property while there.

Lovely Place for a Winter Retreat

Very peaceful place with great sun sets & night skies; outdoor space is fantastic, even in the winter but indoors is a bit tight for 12 people & 3 dogs (2 bedrooms are tiny; 1 bedroom is next to oil tank w/o windows so not ideal hangouts; dining table is small requiring eating in shifts; plus hot water runs out after 1-2 showers and iron sediments may appear in the water!). If you don’t mind these nuisances (we didn’t) it’s an amazing place to spend time together … can highly recommend it!

Spacious lake house, enjoyed the kayaks, deck and fire pit and easy access to the lake. Spending time on the lake was wonderful and why we rented this property. We stayed during a heat wave and were unable to sleep in the upstairs loft due to the heat resulting in 2 guests sleeping on the couches in the living area. The main split unit on the main floor did not seem to be functional either so we were dependent on window units to cool the house. Other than the temperature- the property, location and overall amenities were great!

Lakehouse Getaway

The house is in a remote part of New Hampshire on a large lake. I brought a standup jetski and had no issues unloading into the water. There's a dock, kayaks, a canoe, and gear for other water based activities. We were able to grill and cook meals easily. The house was close enough to visit Lake Winnipesaukee and Portland. We had a blast and happily recommend the property to others!

July stay

Pros: The house had plenty of room for our family group of nine. Easy check in. Well stocked kitchen. Lots of games to play. The corn hole was a huge hit. Huge deck. Canoes & Kayaks were great. Fishing is awesome right off the dock. Cons: bathroom showers needed a good cleaning, bedding had sand and dog hair, dirty dishes in dishwasher. Beach and lawn had a lot of goose poop which we raked up ourselves. Not great for swimming; lots of muck and lily pads. Beware of the hole in the deck, my grandson accidentally stepped into it & could have easily broken his leg.

Great house with all the amenities. Plenty of room for the 9 of us. Kitchen was very well equipped —we did lots of family meals on the beautiful deck. Took canoe and kayak rides, but the highlight was the fishing off the deck at the bottom of the house. Our 3 year old granddaughter wanted to catch a fish and she caught 4!! I think she is “hooked” for life. There are lots of lily pads but area around house is sandy. Great family vacation-Thank you!!

Just back from a fun family vacation at this location. The 3 levels of the house worked out beautifully for our visit with our adult children and their families. Kitchen was well equipped for our needs. Open living/dining area gave us lots of space for teens and young grandchildren to move around. After the water, our favorite and most used space was the large deck. Gates at the stairs made it made it a perfect spot for the 4 and 1 year olds (and the dog!) to play when we weren't down at the water. It had 2 large tables with 6 chairs each and one table had an umbrella. There was a large seating area on one side and other seating spots around as well as room for the large grill. A perfect spot for us all to hang out. The screened porch had an extra fridge. We brought some of our own watercraft since everyone loves to be on the water but we would have been very happy with the kayaks, paddle board, canoe, and child sized kayak that were provided. The shed down at the water contained paddles, fishing gear and life jackets. The kids fished off the dock and the adults fished from their kayaks, too, catching sunfish, pickerel, and bass. The large lawn had several seating areas and a fire pit which we enjoyed. We made a trip to Storyland one day - very doable in just over an hour. Our hosts were very responsive to any questions we had which was wonderful. We thank them for sharing their vacation home - we made some lifetime memories and look forward to going back.
