Great place to stay! Within walking distance to lots of sights, restaurants and bars. Dan was very responsive to all questions and inquiries. Very comfortable and spacious unit.

Beautifully placed penthouse in the heart of it all. Everything was great! Had 1 concern (tv remote issue) and the host fixed the issue immediately. Beds comfy, nice furniture and all the accessories. The rooftop was the star of the show though! Kids loved it and the adults spent both nights after the kids went to bed talking under the city lights. Safe area and close to the train.

Great location! My partner and I come to Chicago a lot and this was one of favorite stays. The rooftop area was great and being able to watch tv with the city lights was so fun plus the main bathroom had heated floors. I was very impressed with the penthouse. 10/10 would definitely recommend staying here.

Great space and location

Our friends were in town for a Beyoncé concert and this place was perfect. Tons of space, lots of light, and a perfect location. The space fit six of us comfortably and never had us feeling cramped. The hosts were amazing with communication and the check in/check out process was super easy! We had an awesome time!

Great place great location!

This property was in a great location and had all of the amenities we needed. It was nice to have parking in the same building where I could leave my car and not have to worry about it while we stayed. This property is situated perfectly so we could walk anywhere we wanted to go. The penthouse was very clean and had multiple balconies to enjoy the outside and the views.

My stay

I definitely liked the area this was located in. Other than a few things that needed to be fixed the stay was very nice. The manager was also very attentive in answering any of my messages.

Week long work trip

We had 3 coworkers stay in the unit. We actually had 3 of the 4 units in the building. It was a great place to stay. 1 tip if you stay here with a bunch of people, don't buy a lot of groceries until everyone is available to carry the groceries up the 3 flights of stairs.

Stay was okay

The stay was ok. Property was clean and communication on point. Tons of stairs leading to the suite.The only thing I didn’t like was parking not accommodating. The one parking spot is in a tiny shared garage. We were unable to park in garage due to the other occupants van and our SUV. There is paid parking around the corner. Wouldn’t stay here again.

Property was great for guys going to Bears game

We had a bunch our out-of-town people meeting to go to a Bears game etc. with a few local family and friends. Manager will only speak over the VRBO app but was fairly responsive. The property was spartan but did the job of providing a place to sleep and eat. There were a lot of stairs, which I didn't mind but I'm in pretty good shape. There were a couple of inflatable beds, which was nice. However, there were no very few extra blankets/pillows, and the pillows had other people's hair on them. Overall, the place seems like a nice dorm room environment from my colleage days in Chicago.

Great location

The pros for this apartment include a great location which for us (in the city for the marathon) outweighed all of the “ok” parts of the rental. There is a Whole Foods, restaurants and public transportation all very close by. As others noted, this apt is a 2+ story walk up with very steep steps. Lugging groceries and suitcases are a thing if you aren’t that agile. The apt could use a bit of a “stuff” upgrade - towels, pillows, extra blankets, more comfortable living room seating, etc. All of that was more “fine” not great. Communication via app was efficient and timely - we needed something twice and people came as requested which we appreciated.

Spacious & bright

Great, comfortable space and served our function very well but looking a little worn. A shame we didn't use the amenities too their potential! Thermostat missing from main floor but controls worked on second floor- easy to figure out. Previous guests haven't been very kind to this space w/luggage scrapes and scarred wood floors a bit distracting from the awesome aesthetics. Our first comment, what do guests do here! The kitchen was very functional and comfortable for up to 8 or so adults that don't mind bunk beds or 10+ family members to co-habitate. Main bath was luxurious. I'd bring family here but would be a little embarrassed to put clients up here. The price was right for our needs. I may have missed a note about the garage not fitting a vehicle greater than a mid-sized SUV but I should have known better being in the city. Thanks!

Very overpriced & a frustratingly basic stay.

For how expensive this rental was, it is not unfair to expect better conditions and accommodations.This unit has so much potential, but is very evident that they did the bare minimum to make this a passable stay. Every light switch was dirty, fire alarms would go off for no reason, and the primary bedroom door would not close due to a broken hinge - forcing it to stay wide open. The shower door seal was half torn off, and there were burn marks on the toilet seat. There weren't enough towels for the number of people it claimed to accommodate, and they were what you would expect from a gym - old, thin, and small. There were no extra pillows or blankets, no cleaning supplies, brooms, or vacuums, and the dishwasher rack was missing wheels. Toilet paper was single-ply, soaps were small wrapped bars that you would expect from a cheap hotel. The living room rug was ruined, the furniture sagged, and the cooking supplies were random and incomplete. When I shared some of these issues with the host they were slow to respond but then asked for pictures. I emailed them these pictures of the issues and they did not respond at all. They then made sure to ask for a 5-star review. I was embarrassed that I had booked this unit for my friends.
Broken shower door seal, and the glass door would hit the glass wall.
Broken shampoo dispenser with missing lid.
Dirty light switches.
Missing bedroom curtain was replaced by one that was too small.

The property was in a good location. It should be noted that there are MANY stairs and no elevator. The decor is very spartan and is beginning to show wear and tear. In one bedroom there were pieces together paper shades - which were torn. In the master bedroom there was one roller shade which did not adequately cover the window. And nearly came off the roller on our first night. The master bedroom is VERY bright beginning around 5:30 am. Not for the late sleeper. Window treatments need an upgrade, linens were utilitarian, and the door to the balcony on the main floor stuck. When you tried to open it the entire window wall shook and looked like it might fall down. It was mostly clean and served our purpose. I think for something described as a “penthouse” I just expected more.
