Bubar Barn - screen porch, deck, + parking

Your private apartment is one of two apartments in the building, and we live in the other in the fall, winter, and spring. You'll have a private entrance, private deck, and the side yard all to yourself.


LIVING SPACES - A spacious living room has a smart TV and plenty of room for an air mattress (available upon request) making this apartment suitable for up to 6 guests. The living room has an AC unit powerful enough to cool all the living spaces.

The screen porch and deck are perfect hangout spots for your vacation - enjoy the fresh air without the mosquitos!! On the deck, relax in our Adirondack rockers next to a smokeless fire pit in the evening, or watch the town go by with your coffee in the mornings.

Fast wifi will meet all your working and entertainment needs!

BEDROOMS - The main bedroom has a comfortable king bed, bedroom number 2 has two twin beds. All linens and towels are provided, and extra blankets for all are in the closets. Both bedrooms have window air conditioning units.

BATHROOM - features a custom tile shower by a local Adirondack artisan and a free washer/dryer.

KITCHEN/DINING - enjoy preparing meals in the fully outfitted kitchen (fridge, stove, oven, toaster oven, coffee maker, pots and pans, utensils), and eat at our unique dining table, also made by a local artisan.

OUTDOORS - park 2 vehicles in our large driveway, and you and your family and pets have the side yard all to yourselves. Please pick up any pet droppings for our next guests.

We've tried to think of everything, but if you get here and find you need anything, I'm right next door to help!

The place was simply lovely. I would recommend for any family, young or old. We were 3 generations of ladies and we had everything we needed. It was clean (even by Nana’s standards!) and the instructions and amenities were top notch.

Home away from home

House had everything we needed. It was nice to just move in and be able to relax. A few minutes walk to grocery store, beach and restaurants. Loved the screened in porch for morning work out or just reading a book. Would defintely stay again!

Perfect stay in convenient location!

Check in was a breeze; it was very cold outside but the house was warm and welcoming. On arrival, the house was immaculate and had everything we could need. The beds and pillows are insanely comfortable!! Communication with the owner was seamless. We knew she was there if we needed anything but our space was very private. The location is perfect to enjoy Schroon Lake! Walking distance to almost everything the town has to offer!!

Wonderful home

Wonderful lodging experience in a great location. Quiet but close enough to walk to downtown area. Quick drive to local attractions and beautiful hiking trails. Owners put a lot of thought into making guests feel welcome (to include our dog). A must stay if in the area. Thank you.

Wonderful place to stay

We enjoyed our stay. The unit was spacious and clean and the owners were very responsive. We drive an ev and were amazed that there was a level one charger available for us to use. The yard was extensive for a quick out with the dogs and there was a quiet side street just across Rte 9 for longer walks. The grocery store and restaurants were only a couple blocks walk. We look forward to visiting this property again!

I loved this place although probably a little large for a single like me. But I loved the spaciousness of it and really enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch. I did have guests occasionally - 8 one evening (never overnight), so I appreciated the large living room and good seating. And I loved being able to walk into the charming town of Schroon Lake. Very comfortable bed, good shower. Kitchen (I didn't cook) was decent although it would have been nice to have ice in the freezer - I understand they will connect the ice maker in the future. All in all, a wonderful stay!

Amazing!!

The location is gorgeous and very centrally located. Very close to a nice beach, and close enough to town to take a nice stroll and shop at the adorable local shops. The location itself is set back from the street with a beautiful outdoor space. The enclosed porch is perfect for a nice cup of coffee and book in the morning. The house is extreme clean and comfortable. Very spacious, with a large living and dining space. The hosts are extremely responsive and friendly. This was the best vacation experience we've had in years. Highly recommend! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

Our large lot is right downtown. You get to be a quick walk from everything, but the house is set far back enough to feel quiet, peaceful, and almost remote!
