Family Vacation

Location and view were fantastic. Beds comfortable, condo was nice and clean, pictures are accurate. They could use some cereal bowls and spoons would be my only request. We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed our family time. Would definitely stay here again.

Summer House #209 was a well appointed condo with a great view of the beach! We had a family of 8 and were very comfortable. We will definitely be back!

Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again. The unit is very clean, comfortable and spacious. The unit is very quiet and cannot hear neighboring units and the beds are comfortable. A couple things I would like to see and usually see in other places we stay are coolers as well as some chairs for the beach. The unit came with a set from the local beach service company but we had to rent three more sets and they get put away around 4pm so there’s nothing to sit in on the beach in the evenings. Also the bedroom towards the road stayed warm and was uncomfortable to sleep in.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a joint vacation here with friends and it was a wonderful week. 4 adults, 6 kids (aged 4 to 18), and we had plenty of room. Kitchen was very well stocked. Having the condo be so close to the beach made it very easy for the kids and adults to shuffle between beach, pool, and condo and stay in eyesight the whole time. The front desk was super helpful, and the chair service was very personable. Only thing I'd really recommend bringing is some non-breakable cups/plates for small kids or non-glass containers for taking drinks out to the beach, since the condo was stocked with very nice dishes and cups.

Unit was good. We experienced appliance issues on the 2nd. First the dryer. Then the microwave. If your family is one to prepare your meals I would highly recommend bringing your own cooking piece. What is avail is awful. And the grill was pathetic. Half burner didn’t work and the other wouldn’t stay lit.

I sure wish you would have let our team at the desk know about this issue as we would have gotten them replaced while you were here! Appliance failures are never fun...and seem to happen at the most inopportune times...like during your vacation! You noted in your previous review that our team was able to resolve the dryer issue and they furnished another microwave....I am glad to hear that we were able to recover on those issues in near real-time. This is the level of response I expect from our team when we are made aware of issues! While I am unclear on the why, I note that on this review you scored us a 2 when on the first review (provided to us by you on 8/8) you scored us a 4. I am appreciative of the feedback but I'd like to learn more about this change. Please feel free to contact our offices to discuss this in greater detail. Thanks again for the feedback!

Great condo, beautiful view, uncrowded beach.

Loved this condo. Clean, nice furnishings, pool, BBQ grill, great view of the ocean, beach was uncrowded. Nice manager at the front desk. If you're early to the beach, you might want to bring your own chair & umbrella. They don't set up until 9 or so. Make sure you have the correct directions BEFORE they close...the younger front desk girl forgot to send the directions twice. I had to call her back and then she sent me to the wrong lockbox and we were all in a panic trying to get our key to the condo at night with no way to contact them after hours. But we thought it through and figured it out...still, very nerve wracking. But overall, I would stay here again!

The check-in location is conveniently located at Summer Place (where this condo is located). We provide the address to this location (along with a map and directions) with your confirmation. The confirmation also informs the guest to contact us if you will be arriving late and we will provide after-hours check-in instructions. Our after-hours telephone message provides an after-hours number to call if our guests have an emergency or any other immediate concern. All this to say we are here for you 24/7. The sun rises at around 7:00AM this time of year so beach service is usually completed by 8:00AM. We are thrilled your overall experience was pleasurable and look forward to your return visit.

A little irritated

The view and location was wonderful. Wifi is absolutely horrible I was down at the desk everyday during our stay for tv not working and wifi not working. Trash left in light fixture in bunk room, hair matted into bathroom rug. Most of our time was on the beach and pool so wifi wasn't a big deal but when it's offered as an amenity and when you miss a business engagement because of it yes it becomes a big deal. When you are given different wifi to try and use everyday it's a bit irritating I definitely didn't want to have to spend my time at the desk everyday.

As we explained, we had submitted a work order to Cox and they have come and replaced the modem. Wifi now works perfectly!

Summer vacation

I loved the fact that the owner left the pantry empty for us to use for all our groceries. You don't find that very often in a condo rental. Normally I have to move things all around to get an empty shelf. It was clean and comfortable and their check in process is outstanding. Legacy told us they would text as soon as it was cleaned and we actually received the text at 11AM on Saturday morning which was so nice to be able to enter early. My only issue was that they only had 3 carts available for unloading so we had to wait a bit to get one . Other than that the property was perfect - convenient access to the pools and the beach . The pools were never very crowded and the beach service was awesome. We would go back to the same unit in the future.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Summer Place. We have been coming to this unit for several years and find it clean and comfortable. This year, we noticed several nice updates, such as fresh paint, new dining room chairs, and new pots and pans, which we truly appreciated. The new staff is also exceptional. Angie and Cullen were both friendly, helpful, and caring. They were both right on top of the few minor issues that arose. When the TV went out, Angie brought up a new one and got it all set up that same day. And when we had problems with the toaster, Cullen had an almost immediate replacement for us. The handyman, Kurt, is also a pleasant personality who we enjoy seeing every year. The pools, pool deck, pool furniture walkways, etc., are always so well-kept. We always look forward to returning to our winter home-away-from-home at Summer Place each year, and we are thankful for the opportunity to come here.

Our Happy Place for our 25th Anniversary

We don't stay anywhere else. I can not say enough about Sally and how she helped us to make this trip happen. We were able to extend our trip an extra day and were blessed with amazing weather the entire time. We also enjoy talking with the staff/security guard every year. We will be back!
