The reservation was canceled only due to an unexpected issue at the property that made it impossible to host safely that day. The guest was fully refunded immediately and notified as soon as the situation arose. I always aim to communicate promptly and fairly, and this was an extremely rare and unforeseen circumstance.

Please be always aware that you come to Manhattan to enjoy the endless possibilities and flexibility this city provides so the size of the apartments shouldn’t be an issue while enjoying this city!

The building is a historic property, and this is clearly stated in the listing description, along with accurate photos that reflect the apartment’s size and layout. Many guests specifically choose our place because they appreciate its historic character and urban setting. The neighborhood is a city environment, and while we do our best to maintain cleanliness and safety inside the property, we cannot control public areas outside the building. The apartment complies with local regulations and includes standard, safe heating units as disclosed in the listing. Bathroom dimensions and amenities are also accurately shown in photos and descriptions. We strongly encourage guests to review these details carefully before booking to ensure the space suits their needs. Regarding the refund request, our cancellation and refund policies are clearly outlined prior to booking and were applied consistently. Leaving immediately after check-in does not qualify for a refund under those terms. We take guest feedback seriously and are always working to improve, but we also believe expectations should align with what is clearly advertised. The guest was relocated to a bigger, nicer and more expensive apartment in the same area. All the expenses for uber were covered and the luggage’s were brought complimentary. The original place is located on the ground floor facing back of the building where nobody has access so it makes the unit very safe and private. All the windows are lockable so if you want to lock them, feel free to do that. The building is a typical pre war building with a central heating system. You can NOT control the heat, it comes for the entire building. Sometimes, it does make loud noise which is totally normal, that’s how the hot air being pushed through the pipes. It might be strange but that’s how the heating system works in all the pre war buildings of New York. We take hospitality and our guests hosting seriously so we are always there to provide the best support.
