Hi Kristin, Thank you for your review, we are very happy to read that you enjpyed your stay and the celebration of your 20th anniversary at our Villa Tibushi. We are not sure what you mean about the decorations that have changed, the pictures are made recently. The only thing that we have upgraded (which is not in the pictures yet) is the umbrella by the pool, this is a bigger palapa now with more shadow space. Dear Debbie, Thank you for staying with us and for taking the time to send us your feedback. We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed the cleanliness of our home and loved the private backyard with the pool and outdoor shower. We have a water heater in the showers of both bathrooms and in the kitchen we offer a dishwasher for your convenience. So far, we have never had any complaints about the cold water in the kitchen as most of our guests use the dishwasher during their stay. The water allowance during your stay is an average of our previous guests and is enough for regular use (which includes dishwasher use). The master bedroom has a queen size bed and the bed is made up with sheets that are the right size. Upon request, we will be happy to supply you with extra sheets and blankets if you prefer to use double bedding. In Aruba, the houses use individual sceptic tanks (there is no central, underground sewage system on the island). To avoid this from blocking, we kindly ask our guests not to throw toilet paper into the toilets. This is common and done this way in homes everywhere on Aruba. We have just renewed all our beach chairs, I am sorry that this wasn’t fixed during your stay. We hope you enjoyed your vacation on the island and thanks again for being our guest. Good to hear that you had a great time on Aruba and that you were satisfied with our service. We are sorry to hear that our home didn’t meet all your expectations. With the current pictures, we try to reflect the size and atmosphere of our home as closely as possible. Measurements of the rooms are mentioned at our listing. Almost all of our furniture (couch, dining set, beds, mattresses) is brand new and was purchased just a few months ago. While selecting the mattresses, we picked the ‘medium’ softness, as we know a choice of mattress is something very personal. By picking the average, we attempt to please the majority of our guests. With regard to the electricity usage, we are very flexible with our guests (as you noticed). The reason why we estimate an average electricity use per day (which is done by most private villa’s on the island and which is mentioned in our listing) is that we would like to make our guests aware that we care for the environment. We want to avoid airconditionings from running all day when guests are not at home and this way we can maintain our rental rates affordable as well. We currently installed electricity-saving airconditionings in the bedrooms, which will even reduce the electricity use of our future guests. The studios next to our home are completely separated from the house and have its’ own entrance, without any access to the home or pool area. Like you experienced, we never had any interference with guests (it’s just like having neighbors).
