Enjoy this 3 Bedroom / 2 Bath home. The large sand bar gives you easy access to the Elk River for kayaking or fishing. Or ride your bike less then 400 yds to the Elk River Rail Trail. Sutton Moose is about 10 miles away as well as Sutton Lake and Dam. There is a large sand bar to play in the river or put in or take out a kayak. This is a great place just to come sit back and relax. Enjoy the river sitting out on the back porch and watching the river flow. Plenty of wild life to enjoy from groundhogs, water turtle, fish, deer and the occasional bear. There is Starlink satellite with a Roku stick supplied or bring a book or enjoy some of the dvds available.

This place was incredibly cozy and welcoming—it felt just like staying at Grandma and Grandpa’s house! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, the beds were very comfortable, and both the front and back porches were wonderful places to relax. Check-in was quick and easy, and the home truly had everything we could have wanted. We would definitely stay here again!

Host was super responsive and just a delight to work with! The property is really cute, right on the water with a big yard, gorgeous flowers, and the home is comfy and the perfect little getaway. Food in the area closes early but otherwise the adjacent towns are really nice. Would absolutely recommend and would visit again!

The property and house was just right for our stay. Our adult kids are planning our trip for next year. Kitchen had all of the supplies to cook. Everything was very clean.The host was very helpful.

Home Away from Home

This place was perfect for our family. The view from the back porch was beautiful and relaxing. We all enjoyed spending time fishing and playing in the river. It was central to our activities we had planned for our stay.

Meemaw & Paw Paws Place

We were in town for a long weekend. Found the property very accessible and inviting. The house was quite comfortable inside, but the outside views and natural beauty were even more inviting. Relaxing on the front porch swing and enjoying the river view from the back porch was a true highlight of our visit. River accessibility was a definite plus. Would definitely stay here again.

This home was a blessing to us as we visited family in the area. The interior was spotless, but the porches could have used some attention. Pay attention to the host instructions accessing the drive from the highway. My son tried to make the hairpin turn and found he had to backup on the highway to do it. Not a good spot to be in. It was also difficult exiting the drive as your vision of traffic is limited due to the steepness of the driveway. Breakfast is always important to our family. All 8 of us met at the home and I cooked a large farm style meal. Everything needed was at hand. I especially appreciated the little things like salt and pepper, spices, paper towels, sugar for the coffee, even baggies for the leftover biscuits. We all enjoyed the back porch and appreciated the Off we saw on the shelf. The canoe access to the river allowed us to relive memories from many years ago. This was so much better than staying in a hotel room. We will be back.

Interior was perfect for visit with family, including very young kids. Clean and spacious. there was every appliance and utensil that could be used.the exterior needed paint and TLC.One of the showers dripped and needed attention
