Beautiful home!

We had a great time at Richard’s Retreat. The house had amazing views of the water. It was also very spacious and clean. We really enjoyed the indoor pool and hut tub, and the pool table and bar area were great too. The owners were also very responsive and pleasant to work with. Highly recommend this place!

Team Durant Girl’s Basketball Team Retreat

Yvonne's place was perfect for our basketball team retreat! The house was beautiful, private, and had plenty of space with 7 bedrooms. The highlight was definitely the amazing indoor pool. Yvonne was a very responsive host who made sure our stay was enjoyable. We highly recommend this beautiful and very spacious location!

Beautiful home and views with lovely pool and accomodations

We had such a wonderful time at Richard’s Retreat. They went out of their way to make my Godson feel special for his 6th bday. I explained that I was renting the home as a getaway for him to enjoy time with family and friends and that he had just lost both of his parents. They were sweet to then setup outdoor 6 year old bday decor and also leave spiderman balloons and gift bags inside for us. The pool was so much fun for the kids and there was so much space in the home. They were very responsive as well to any inquiries. The sunset is so incredible and it’s nice to play outside and grill. We will definitely try to come back in the future!

Family Reunion

We have a large family, so large that we just don’t fit in anyone’s house anymore. Richard’s Retreat was everything we could have wanted. The remote location is beautiful and on the water with a dock, paddle boards and 2 patios. But if you’re not looking to spend time outside, hop in the indoor pool or sauna. With such a big house and big group of people there are bound to be questions or hiccups. Yvonne was very responsive and answered all of our questions quickly. It is a remote location, A store 3 miles away could take 20 minutes (one way). I loved the privacy and would stay here again.

Perfect Family Gathering Spot in a Peaceful Waterfront Location

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful waterfront home for a family funeral, and it exceeded all of our expectations. The house was spacious and beautifully decorated, creating a calm and inviting atmosphere. With plenty of room for our group of 9, we felt right at home. The large kitchen was perfect for family meals, and the open living areas allowed us to gather comfortably and share memories together. One of the highlights of our stay was the fantastic indoor pool and hot tub. The private, quiet location was ideal for our family, offering a peaceful retreat during a difficult time. The home is also conveniently close to Quantico National Cemetery, making it a perfect place to stay for families attending services there. The views were absolutely stunning—watching the sunrises and sunsets over the water was a true highlight, and we even spotted bald eagles soaring overhead. It felt like a serene and tranquil escape, which was exactly what we needed. The host was incredibly accommodating and easy to work with, making the entire experience smooth and stress-free. We truly appreciated how well the house was equipped and the attention to detail in making it a welcoming space for families. Overall, this waterfront home provided the perfect setting for our family to come together during a difficult time, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Thank you to our hosts for all the special touches, we appreciate you and your extraordinary home.

From hot chocolate and s’mores down by the fire to swimming in the pool where it feels like a tropical paradise, this house had everything we needed to make lifelong family memories. The secluded location, expansive property, beautiful views, and unique amenities made this house a place we could enjoy our entire vacation without ever leaving the property.We visited in the fall when the leaves were changing and the scenery was just beautiful, but I can only imagine how magical summers must be here.We played football in the backyard, enjoyed the game room in the evenings, and swam in the pool nightly and daily. The kitchen had everything we needed to make big family meals and the dining room accommodated all of us. The pictures don’t do this house justice. It is meticulously cared for. The decor is beautiful. Everything is fresh, clean and new.There are water views in almost every direction. We watched morning sunrises and nightly sunsets. In one direction we could see nothing but nature, in another direction we saw houses, boats, and marinas. And in another direction we could watch trains going over a bridge in the distance. The host is gracious and generous. She ensured that we had everything we needed and we could tell that it was very important that we enjoy the home. She was always responsive and helpful.We have stayed in quite a few vacation rentals, and while we have liked them all, there was something special about this one.
