The Neighborhood: This is a quiet “Old Sarasota” neighborhood, approximately 8 minutes from the beach by car. You will need a car to make the most of your stay in Sarasota. The neighborhood is quite walkable, but there is not very much activity within a 10 minute walk. This is a quiet and tranquil community, and sounds tend to carry easily here. Please be mindful of your volume during your stay.
Noise Detector, Cameras, and Security: There is a noise detector in the large Bedroom 3 which does not record or transmit audio - its only function is to report loud noises. Although the neighborhood is quite safe, there may be petty crime just like anywhere else in the USA. Please make sure to lock your vehicles and doors at night, just as you would at home. There are security cameras on the exterior of the home at the entry, the corners of the house, the front yard, and the back-yard. There are no cameras inside.
Safety: Please take measures to ensure everyone’s safety when enjoying the fire-pit, which must include adult supervision whenever children are present. Also, please use caution with the bed in Bedroom #3. It is a low Japanese-style bedframe, and although it looks and functions great, it is quite possible to bang your shin on the bedframe if you are not careful. Thank you, and enjoy!

We love the quiet, comfortable neighborhood here. It's just perfect for a morning coffee on the front lanai or the back patio. It is close to everything, yet secluded in a friendly "old-Florida" neighborhood.

Location, Location, Location! This property is just minutes from the world-famous Siesta Beach. Situated just walking-distance from Tamiami Trail, it is just a hop, skip, and jump to anything in Sarasota, particularly anything west of I-75.
