WELCOME TO PUERTA AL MAR! As you step inside, you’ll be greeted by a beautifully remodeled interior with local artwork and modern design. The spacious living area offers breathtaking panoramic views of the crystal-clear waters of the Caribbean Sea - even from the front door - and acts as central living/play space for fun and relaxation. Imagine getting lost just sitting in your comfy chair taking it all in! The property sits right on the sea - so there is nothing between the house and the ocean, except clean fresh air and lots of sun! We spot colorful sailboats, nearby islands, fish, birds (it's called Pelican Key for a reason!) and lots of sun drenched rays every single day!
Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, which provides privacy and convenience, and has its own story to tell. There are two master bedrooms overlooking the ocean, each with a lavish bathroom, king-sized bed, and ample storage. Enjoy close-ups of sailboats and dolphins using the telescope in the second master. Test your scouting skills with the knot collection on the wall. The third bedroom contains an old nautical map for exploration. We challenge you to find the hidden bathroom in the Palm Bedroom! No cheating!!
The heart of the home is a gourmet kitchen equipped with top-of-the-line appliances and a generous island, perfect for preparing delicious meals to enjoy on the outdoor dining terrace. Step outside to the expansive pool deck, where you can bask in the sun, take a refreshing dip in the infinity pool, or unwind in the shaded lounge area. For those inclined to entertain or engage in fine culinary arts, the pantry contains a second refrigerator, sink and dishwasher.
When it’s time to relax, the villa’s outdoor lounge area and hammock provide the ideal setting for unwinding while listening to the soothing sounds of the ocean. Watch pelicans and gulls soaring on the wind before they dive for fish, as well as the occasional hummingbird. An outdoor shower is located near the pool for your convenience and enjoyment.

We're from Washington, DC and LOVE SINT MAARTEN! We fell in love the first time on the island.....it's called 'The Friendly Island' for a reason! We have tried to add a lot of personal touches, from the furnishings to the welcome gift basket, from the concierge check in to responsive answers to inquiries and suggestions on things to do to maximize your enjoyment and relaxation while on vacation....we'd love to host you and your family/friends while you are here. Please feel welcome and enjoy our wonderful villa!

This is a fantastic place to be. It's not expensive like Terres Basses, or old and overrun like many places in Phillipsburg. The area is very quiet at night - it feels like you can get away, yet you are still centrally located to the main strip on the Dutch side, restaurants/casinos, LOTS of beaches, the famous jazz piano bar, Maho, zip lining, Phillipsburg and popular French side attractions like Marigot shopping and scrumptious French cuisine in Grand Case. It's only 10 minutes from the airport, so after a tiring flight with customs etc., you're practically there, unlike other places farther north or east. It's also not on a steep hill, which makes driving and parking much easier. The property sits on a cliff, so the first sight when walking inside is a breathtaking view of the ocean with all of the breathless tranquility. You'll feel right at home - welcome to paradise!

This particular property is awesome - and we're not just saying that. It's wonderfully located right on the ocean, and minutes away from both the beach and the main drag (Welfare Road) on the Dutch side of the island. It was fully renovated in 2023, so the finishes are fresh, clean and contemporary. Each bedroom has its own bathroom (no sharing - a HUGE plus), and a view of the ocean. There's a wonderful patio for dining/lounging and watching the gorgeous sunsets, as well as hanging out in the pool or working on your tan. The outdoor shower also helps keep sand, mud, etc from the inside. We even have a hammock for those lazy afternoons (naps encouraged!) and a telescope for moon and star gazing! We frequently spot hummingbirds and iguanas....and of course pelicans! You'll feel immersed in the beach and water right from the start!
The property also has a yard for tag/throwing the ball. We have several coconut trees, as well as avocado and lemon trees. Depending on the time of year, you may also spot Sage or the famous Flamboyant Tree!
