Our host was great - we thought we might not be able to make the trip when the government was still shutdown - the host was very accommodating and understandable if we couldn’t. Luckily that all cleared up and we could go. Overall the unit is in a great location and well priced. Great proximity to the beach and things Redondo has to offer. Has an elevator and fireplace though not sure of safety for use - we didn’t try either. Beds were super comfortable!Didn’t give five stars because there were some minor repairs that are needed to the house (kitchen cabinet door that can’t close, outside light that flicks on and off all night, screws in wall with no pictures, wallpaper starting to peel, etc.). Biggest thing for me was the mustiness from either humidity or a previous water leak, though once we opened some windows it aired out nicely. Parking in the garage is NOT for the faint of heart! You’ll need a smaller vehicle and/or loads of patience. Overall recommend - it’s spacious and a great home base.

Lovely area, nice property. There were some small issues but the host communicated quickly and attempted to remedy them (no heater, but it was not cold, & WIFI crashed but he walked us thru a reboot and it came back up). Elevator was a nice touch, but it did squeak as the door closed. Nice spacious garage for our midsized rental. large well appointed kitchen and full sized laundry. Lots of stairs, but that was no issue. enjoyed our stay.

I didn’t stay at this property because there was a gas leak. I was notified of this problem the day we arrived! We received a refund from the host but not VRBO. This survey does not apply to my experience. I expect a full refund of my remaining balance.

A great experience and stay!

We took a 4 day trip to LA from SF. We rented beach cruisers, spent a few days frolicking the beaches and went to Six Flags Magic Mountain. This spacious apartment is lovely. The property manager was easy to communicate with, the apartment was in a great location (about a mile from the beach, a lovely neighborhood, close to grocery stores, restaurants, CVS). It was a comfortable place (beds, large couch and we loved the top floor with the deck. I'd highly recommend this place.

Home away from home.

Wonderful location! Only concern would be that when you go out onto the balcony if you make the mistake of closing the door, you lock yourself out. The addition of mattress pads and cotton sheets would be a welcome upgrade.

The area felt very safe and was mostly quiet. Property was clean, bright, and a lot more room than we expected! Host was welcoming and did not have a long list of rules or cleaning expectations. It could use some basic instructions for the elevator and espresso machine (a basic coffee maker would have been nice.) The driveway is tight and garage is pretty small for most vehicles-especially a rental big enough for lots of luggage. We got used to maneuvering the space after a couple days. The garage door has an emergency pull handle for manual closing/opening that is very long and actually got stuck in the passenger door when we closed it and wanted to always get stuck in the roof rack of the Mercedes. We had to have one person stand and hold it away from the car while trying not to get their toes run over each time we backed out. We ended up having to put a loose loop in it so it wouldn't catch on the car. The garage door also opens and closes very "rough." Not a big deal until one of these times it's not going to slide on it's track. We did notice a musty smell as soon as we came in and then also in one of the bedrooms. We opened a couple windows and didn't notice after that. However, a day before our check-out we discovered a leak in the closet by the entry door that appears to have been there for some time. I notified the host right away and they were sending out a plumber so most likely not an issue now. A lovely property! Close to the beach, comfy beds, would stay again!

Great Location

We had an amazing stay and the house was perfect. The bedrooms are on the ground floor and living dinning on second floor with a grilling patio. Bonus top floor with much larger roof deck. Easy walk to Redondo Beach Pier. Also perfectly located for day trips to other parts of LA including Disneyland. Check in process was easy and the owner was quick to answer any questions. Only suggestion would be for the owner to create a welcome binder that has house instructions (like how to operate TVs) and area information. All in all a great trip for the whole family.

Beautiful, Spacious House with Relaxing Balcony Spaces!

Beautiful house with great balcony views! (The stars, city lights, and fun architecture of surrounding houses). Kitchen was beautiful! Close to the beach, and easy access to the places we needed to travel to. A couple small quirks, like the bathroom drawer coming open regularly & the motion lights outside, but overall an amazing place to stay! Don't let those quirks stop you! Super easy check in, and the host was extremely helpful with local recommendations and quick resposes to our questions! Please note the garage space and area in front of garage are fairly compact - it took some getting used to, and lots of careful turns. There's a hill going down to the unit, and a narrow driveway, so it was much easier to back into the garage than to try to turn around before leaving. We had a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee - I would not recommend larger as it barely fit in the garage, and made for tight turns getting in and out of the driveway. We got the hang of it, but go with a smaller vehicle if you're reluctant to drive/park/turn around in compact spaces. There is some street parking, but it seems to fill up fast. Garage is on the lower level. 1st floor: 2 bedrooms, 1 full bath, front door. 2nd floor: Kitchen, living room, full bath, balcony #1. 3rd floor: Laundry, wet bar, balcony #2. Elevator for luggage & groceries (very helpful!). Next time we're in the Redondo Beach area, we will definitely rent here again! (As long as we don't have a larger group). Overall WONDERFUL stay!

Technical issues

Several control sticks for TV no instructions on which one worked what TV(6 control sticks) the sink in the bathrooms have no hot water, the upstairs bathroom water control in shower is backwards, hot is cold and cold is hot, the bathroom drawer opens on its own also in that bathroom and won’t stay shut, 2nd bedroom has no direct v, was asking us for an email and password to watch the TV. Garage space hard to park a lg SUV Tight area took two people to help park vehicle. Outside security lights kept flashing on and off all night which lite up our bedroom windows all night. Otherwise it was good needs someone to address the issues.

Excellent location

This was perfect for us. four 30 year olds, coming from ArizonaTo celebrate a birthday & family ChristmasThis place was one block from our uncles & other family members. Redondo beach was About 1/2 mile away, almost walking distance.It had a double garage, which made for safety.The home itself was perfect, with everything youCould possibly need. Diffently will use again.Thank you
