Perfect stay with everything one would need. Comfortable futon bed, good size refrig, all kitchen gadgets you could possibly need and you are on the water. Sunsets were beautiful and soothe ones soul.

We had a nice stay. It’s an older unit but clean and well maintained. The dock/outside gathering area was great. Husband spent each day fishing off the dock. Easy walk to restaurants and bar. We had one minor problem (lost power due to breaker). Property manager responded promptly and got it fixed. Would stay here again.

Snook shack

Me and some friends stayed here to fish and it was absolutely perfect for that. Would recommend to anyone looking for an affordable place to stay on the water. I met the owner and he was very nice and showed me where things were.

Great Area!

We had a relaxing time and really enjoyed the area. It was nice to walk to local bar's and shops. Cozy suite! The Prefect Cup, was our go to every morning for breakfast. Great Service, Great Coffee and Great Food!

Great location

Close to all the shops in Matlacha. It was too cold to rent a boat but there is a dock to park one of you choose. Very clean and the host was very responsive to all our questions. We would stay again.

We stayed in the Snook Suite in April, 2022 for almost a week. We had an enjoyable time reading on the dock, walking to some of the shops and restaurants in Matlacha. Laid back and low-key; a very enjoyable getaway.

Nice place to relax

Nice smaller unit more than adequate for a couple. Many good eating and little shops within a short walk of the unit. Very nice and friendly folks in the other units.

Fishing vacation

This place was great! The neighbors were friendly, the location was great and the dock was beautiful. I couldn’t ask for a better stay. Everything was laid out and very straight forward. The property manager was really nice and helpful. Overall it was fantastic:)

Home away from home

We had no idea how much we were going to enjoy our stay we haven't been away together for 20 years so we found a place close to home but far enough away at the end of our stay we realized how much we loved it here we have told everyone we know about this place peace and quiet the local business , people we came in contact with.the place we stayed in was the snooke suite was perfect we talked about how many times we will be going back

Great location

Every thing was handled on a very professional basis. The Manager, Charity, was excellent to deal with. Unlike other VRBO properties we experienced, instructions were outlined in a correct and informative manner. Probably will stay there again.

Awesome place and Island!😊

Very cute, little apartment. Clean and well stocked for vacationers. The view from the dock was amazing. Beautiful sunsets. Other guests became fast friends. We enjoyed all the local shops, eateries, and local artists. The staff on the island shops were so friendly and happy to share information and history of the Island. We will be back 🌴😎💕

We always try to solve any "problems" that may arise immediately. Unfortunately, however, sometimes we as landlord's hands are tied if the fault is not with us. Nevertheless, we are pleased that we have come to a quick solution with you and the stay could be spent so carefreely.

fun vacation

The property was just as expected. Met wonderful people and had a great time! The only down side would be there weren't enough garbage bags, twisty ties would have been nice, there wasn't toilet paper for a week and no aluminum foil. I would go back though.

Wonderful Mini Getaway!

The Snook Suite was such a great place for our mini "just the two of us" getaway! The unit had everything we needed. We loved access to the kayaks and canoe and used them daily to go fishing. Matlacha is an adorable, quiet town- just perfect for us. Communication was top notch and Charity is spectacular! She took wonderful care of us and when an issued arose with the plumbing she had it fixed before we could blink! Thank you for everything! We will be back!

Except we had to remove all bedding and get our own because of the flowery scent which killed my allergies. Also the air freshener. Some people can not take scented stuff.

At the moment, there are much stricter requirements regarding the cleaning and disinfection of our accommodations and textiles such as bed linen. The associated quite clinical smell we try to counteract with other fragrances which certainly does not meet everyone's taste. We apologize for this but are very glad that this was the only small drawback during your stay!

Matlacha - Hidden Gem

The Fisherman's Paradise was everything we were looking for and more! Clean, quiet, with easy access to the cool town of Matlacha. The property manager was a text or phone call away and was prompt in his reply. All the cool are galleries and shops were within walking distance. An outstanding ice cream shop was right around the corner. Kayak tours were readily available and something I'm sure everyone can enjoy. While we did need to drive to get time on the beach, they were not far away. The local food is fantastic and plenty to choose from most featuring live music. This is "old time" Florida at it's finest. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back.

Family Affair

Place is great! Finding actual property manager contact info difficult. When strong rain/thunderstorm, must drive through flooded street snd park in flooded designated parking area but can get to unit unless walking through 1-3” of water. Now, after Hurricane Ian - Wouldn’t be surprised if unit not destroyed - understand bridge now out and unit would be unreachable if remains anyway.

We'll keep it a little shorter with an answer: our Fishermen's Paradise hasn't existed since Ian, and won't exist again in the way our guests have come to love it. Nevertheless, we are motivated to create something new at this beautiful place.

Snook Suite is a great place to stay! A million times better than a hotel!

I arrived after Midnight and felt perfectly safe. Checkin was easy. We experienced no problems. The outside and inside lights were on, and the a/c was at a comfortable setting. The place was much larger than I expected! The kitchen was well stocked. I was glad there were beach towels because I had forgotten ours. The front door is covered which was great for when it rained. The area was really quiet and the neighborhood is old Florida. Lots of cute shops close by. We saw other guests by the water but we never heard anyone. We really enjoyed our stay and will stay here again when needed.
