Few places like this at SML. The house, lot and community offer the complete package:
1) gentle sloping lot to the lake
2) the ability to wade into the water from a sandy shore
3) Sandy lakebed that's free from muck and seaweed
4) Uninterrupted views of the lake yet offset from the main channel
5) Walkable community amenities including tennis courts, walking trails, basketball court, and more
Peaceful Lakefront Retreat
Welcome to your serene Smith Mountain Lake getaway—where relaxation meets recreation. Nestled on a quiet point lot along the main channel near R21, this clean and well-maintained home offers the perfect blend of privacy, wide water views, and easy lake access. Just minutes from shopping and dining, it's centrally located yet tucked away for true tranquility.
Lake Life at Its Best
The gently sloping lot leads to a private sandy shoreline just 90 feet from the home—ideal for swimming, floating, or simply unwinding as the waves lap at your feet. Wade into the shallow, muck-free water or make a splash from the dock, where the water is about 10 feet deep. Lounge in the sun, relax in the shade, and open the boathouse and enjoy music by the lake. Paddle out on a kayak or float the day away—this is lakefront living at its finest.
Enjoy beautiful sunsets and peaceful views from the house, perfectly positioned just off the main channel for calm waters without sacrificing the scenery. In the evening, gather around the firepit under the stars, or take a short walk to enjoy the community’s full range of amenities.
On the Inside
Inside the entry level has the master bedroom with an en suite bathroom and walk in closet. Kitchen with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, dining area, and living room. Walk out onto large composite deck with wide water views. Upper level offers two bedrooms with a shared full bath. Down in the walk out basement is a family room, wet bar, full bathroom, and sleeping area, as well as a washing machine and dryer.

Acerca de su propietario/a

We’re a family of five based in Northern Virginia who fell in love with Smith Mountain Lake after years of searching for the perfect getaway. We finally found it in October 2024—a place that felt just right for our family’s needs and values.
Don and Monica are originally from the Midwest (Chicago and Detroit) and, though we've lived in Northern Virginia for over 20 years, we still carry that Midwestern spirit of warmth, simplicity, and hospitality.
We have three children, our youngest is in middle school and our oldest attends the University of Lynchburg—just about an hour away—where she plays on the women’s soccer team. Our middle child passed away in 2023 from SUDC. This place has helped us in the grieving process.
This home has become a special retreat for us: a place to reconnect, recharge, and soak in the beauty and peace of lake life together.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento
We chose this neighborhood after an extensive search for the right place. Many lakefront homes we visited felt overly ostentatious—more like second homes than true lake retreats. We weren’t looking for luxury or a fixer-upper; we wanted something well-maintained and move-in ready—a comfortable, authentic lake house that embraced the lake life. This property fit the bill perfectly.
It was also important to us that the walk to the water was short and gentle, not long or steep. We wanted a dock with deep water at the end—perfect for jumping in—while still being able to wade in from shore without stepping into muck or seaweed. The Isle of Pines subdivision sealed the deal with its peaceful setting, walkable access to community amenities, and spectacular lake views—without the noise or traffic of a busy main channel.
