Unexpected and Unfortunate
This home could be much higher rated, but there was just too much wrong with the home and poor host responsiveness. When we first arrived, we noticed the masted bed was broken and one corner sitting on the ground. After calling the owner, he indicated he already knew - but he let us check in without prior warning. We spent the first night with the bed propped up on cinder blocks. Other things that were wrong included: no running cold water from the bathroom tap, broken sofa leg, foul smell, broken microwave, no bags for corn hole, other broken outdoor games, moldy grill utensils and half-filled and dirty hot tub. We called the property manager, and honestly thought things were going to be addressed - we were hoping and patient. But then the owner ghosted us after the first night…. The handyman did his best to make things right (Nick is great), but by the end of the visit we still had a broken couch and a foul smell. Because of multiple visits to try to make repairs, I ended up missing the boat show which was the very reason for our trip. I think the place has potential, but Mike has got to be more accountable and communicative.
