Experience Bottineau like a local in this 3-bedroom cabin. Nestled on South Lake, our charming property offers a cool and pleasant retreat for guests. With 2 full beds and 1 bunk bed, our cozy bedrooms provide a comfortable night's sleep. Plus, there's an additional pull out couch for extra bed space in the living room. *Lake water is hooked up - a separate water cooler is available for drinking water. The outdoors is where you will want to hang out. There is a large upper deck with a picnic table under a large shady roof, and a lower deck with a gas fire at the water's edge. The boathouse is the perfect place to grab the water toys and enjoy the water in front of the cabin. Fishing boat- when available- and dock onsite for you (or bring your own)!! See pictures of the dock and cabin to visualize space from deck to dock and interior. Make your holiday one for the books with a stay at our place.

I'm sure this tiny little cottage was cute in its day but there's only so much that can be done to hide its age. If you can spend all your time outside though, the decks were nice areas to gather.

It's a great location, the outdoor seating is wonderful, very comfortable. There's seating on the deck, then you walk down steps to the lake and there's more seating; the cushions for the chairs are very comfortable. The indoor seating though only seats 3 people. Listing says it'll hold 8 people, and it will, for sleeping, but the living room is small, and there's a small couch that'll fit 2 people, and another chair. The chair in the picture isn't there, it's another chair. And the oddest thing--there's a new frig, and the old frig was chucked over the deck railing. It's clearly visible when sitting on the deck. And there's a new dock, and the old dock is visible on the property when walking down the steps to the new dock, and seating. Very odd these weren't disposed of properly. Still, if you want lakefront, and plan to spend your time outside, this property is great.

It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the lake. It was set up with everything we needed. Whitney went out of her way to help us when I locked us out of the cabin. Thank you for a wonderful vacation.

This cozy cabin had everything we needed for a few relaxing days while visiting family. The view of the lake hits you right in the face—in the best way—from living room, kitchen, and deck. Peaceful and convenient to all the lake has to offer. We will be back next year.

Perfect little cabin!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The cabin was easy to find, and perfect for what we needed. It had 2 bedrooms each with a full bed, a twin bunk bedroom, and a pullout couch in the living room. The kitchen was stocked with everything we could need. The view of the lake was beautiful from the living room window and the upper and lower decks outside. Being right on the waters edge was so nice. We loved sitting out there watching the activity on the water, and in the evening we used the gas fire pit and roasted marshmallows. My kids enjoyed the paddle boats found in the shed. There was even a small boat if we so desired. I would definitely recommend this place and stay here again!

The host was terrible at communication. Messaged daily for the three days before our trip and did not get any reply until we contacted VRBO support twice. Even had tried calling the phone number given to us by customer support without a reply. A second disappointment was the water. There was no beach area for our children to play by the water and the water itself was rocky with too many weeds to play. This was actually something I had tried to message the host about prior to booking, but never got a response. The cabin was as pictured and worked fine for what we needed. The best part of the property is the large deck overlooking the water. It had a great view and we spent much of our time on the deck.

Quaint Lake Metigoshe Cabin

Fabulous weekend retreat. Kayaks, tubes and a small fishing boat with a trolling motor allowed us to putter around our side of the lake and catch a few northern pike. Great outdoor area with two decks and a fire pit! Perfect!

Relaxing Weekend

Quiet and relaxing is what we were looking for and us exactly what we got. It’s so peaceful on the deck and the covered portion came in handy this stay. We will be back!

As though it hadn't been cleaned, 0 communication

This was the worst condition I've ever seen an airbnb/vrbo in. I was questioning whether it had actually been cleaned. I had to clean the entire bathroom myself while I was supposed to be decorating and making food as we were there for a bachelorette trip. There were short (likely pubic) hairs all over the toilet, shower and sink (clearly none of them had been cleaned) and the faucet was splattered with toothpaste or soap, as well as an unpleasant smell in the house. The toilet paper was rolled out and the hand towel looked like it had probably been used too. The toilet had yellowish scum in it and urine on the seat as well as hairs and dust all over it. The floors in the bathroom and kitchen didn't look swept either and there were crumbs on the counter by the toaster. The door was also unlocked when we got there. Overall left a very bad taste in our mouths and the fact I had to clean everything without gloves when I was already stressed trying to decorate and cook and make it a good vacation for our future bride was unbelievable especially for the price of this place. I would expect at least a partial refund but here's the other thing: every single message I have sent these people, they haven't replied to. Other things to note: the breaker kept getting tripped when we would run the coffee maker or the a/c, and directions to the place were not clear and we had to drive around to find it. Would not recommend this, very disappointed

Weekend Getaway

We came up to visit Lake Metigoshe for a family weekend away from home and really enjoyed the property and area. The kids had a lot of fun on the paddle boards and fishing off the dock. There were even more amenities than listed. Thank you for having us!

Great cozy little place!

We had a great little overnight stay, wish we would have had more time in the area to enjoy the cabins water toys. We had everything we needed. I'm sure we'll be back sometime!

Perfect Week!

This cabin was absolutely perfect for our family! It was very clean and cozy! The outside space was also amazing. The deck was where we spent most of our time. The grandkids loved fishing off the dock and grandpa loved the new grill! This cabin was very affordable and we will definitely be looking forward to coming back soon!
