From the second we turned the key and opened the door, we felt warm and cozy. A lovely Christmas tree welcomed us, lights on and glimmering. The home was well appointed with everything you could possible need and the special touches throughout were simply heart warming. Every inch of this home was clean! I could tell this home was loved by a special family! We enjoyed waking out of the front door and down the quaint sidewalk to pubs and coffee shops. I felt like we were in a Hallmark Village. Everyone was so nice. We can’t wait to come back! By far, the best place we have ever stayed!

The kitchen was very very well appointed - kitchenware, appliances, snacks and coffee/tea. The host was extremely responsive and helpful. The place was very clean. Location in Hallowell was ideal - walkable to produce, pubs, restaurants, varied stores and hiking trails.

Our second time staying with Drew and Sarah at this property. Loved this stay even more. Steps away from fine dining, local bakery, ice cream shop, bars and restaurants, and interesting eclectic shops. The views of the river from the back porches and of the little downtown from the front bay window were so appreciated. Exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated. We’ll be back!

The apartment is stunning beyond imagination! Immaculate! I wish I could pick this gem up and take it home with me. We enjoyed having the fireplaces upstairs and down. The brick walls and wood floors are charming All the little touches . You can tell the love that went into fixing up this space Thank you for making our anniversary such an enjoyable rest!

Such a hidden gem, this property is a spacious oasis in the charming town of Hallowell. We had such a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend this property to others. The property was easy to locate with ample parking and tons of amenities. The owner was very responsive to questions and even had some great restaurant and sight-seeing recommendations. A wonderful property.

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay while in Hallowell. Everything about our experience was perfect. Plenty of sitting areas, both inside and out, and even though the apartment is on the Main Street in Hallowell, when you sit out back and watch the river, it is so peaceful! We loved the popcorn and all the coffee that was available for our consumption! The space was very clean and bright. The hosts were very easy to communicate with. I would 100% recommend staying here and hope to return again!

The property, the responsiveness of the host, and the checkin process all exceeded our expectations! Everything we needed was provided. Spent mornings watching activities out front from the bay window, and late afternoons on the deck watching the river. When we return to Hallowell, this will be our first choice of places to stay!

The listing was as advertised. Great location and excellent amenities. Drew was very helpful and check in / out was flawless. Only potential draw back is the number of stairs but that was too bad. The TV room was especially great.

The apartment is beautiful. It is well appointed, well furnished, well located, has plenty of parking, and is spotlessly clean. It has two decks overlooking the Kennebec River and two kitchens, one on each floor. It also has a huge television in the TV room. It is right in the center of the main drag in Hallowell. You walk out on the main street and there is a wonderful ice cream shop on the left and a boulangerie a on the right. The AC works great. The apartment is on the second and third floors. From the parking lot you have to climb two flights of steps to get to the door. I would rent this apartment again in a heartbeat.

The downtown property was immaculate. Very clean and welcoming. Drew was very responsive to any questions that we had. Hallowell was small but very busy. We found it was a great location for our plans to Acadia, Freeport and rafting. I would highly recommend the apartment for anyone.

Rustic Beauty

This property was one of the very nicest we’ve ever stayed in. The ambiance is cosy and rustic. Very clean and well appointed. We loved sitting on the decks enjoying the serene beauty of the Kennebec river out the back. We enjoyed our early morning coffee sitting in the bay window alcove and watching Hallowell come to life.

Perfect stay

Drew’s place was exactly as expected and he was very attentive. The apartment was beautiful and comfortable. The view over the river was lovely and Hallowell had a number of great places to eat. We are looking forward to returning soon!

Bangor to Portland

Great location, we traveled up to Bangor and down to Portland from this central location.The apartment was beautiful and clean with a great view of the river on one side, and the main road (which was quiet) on the other.Check in and out was seamless and Drew was very communicative before and during our stay. They even cleared the balcony and steps of snow.

Cozy!

We had a business training in Augusta and this was the perfect place to stay! It was beautiful, clean, cozy, and had the most perfect personal touches. The hosts were available for anything we needed (though we didn’t need much with their set-up!) and we only wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend for anyone!

Fantastic Apartment on the Kennebec

If we could give this place 10 stars, we would. The hosts have thought of everything so you don’t need to! We have a seasonal camp in the area and always like to make a winter time trip to the area to check in on it. We love Hallowell, so this seemed like a good option for a long weekend. We loved it! Cozy, comfortable, clean and perfectly outfitted. The hosts were even better! Thanks so much Drew and Sarah!

Lovely Stay

This is such a wonderful rental. The apartment is warm, cozy and has stunning views of the Kennebec and the quaint downtown of Hallowell. This was so convenient, everything you need is within walking distance, and if it's not it's a short drive to Augusta. The apartment is spacious and has all the amenities you'll need. The hosts were responsive and easy to get in touch with if needed. Only thing we weren't prepared for were the amount of stairs; bringing up our heavy luggage was cumbersome, but once you got to see the views from the apartment it was all worth it. Will definitely be staying here again when I come to see family!

I wish it were possible to give a 10 STAR rating! What an incredible gem of an apartment. There were 7 in our group and everyone was so impressed with the cleanliness and convenient touches throughout the place. Everything from extra charging ports to laundry facilities were appreciated. The apartment is stunning! To quietly watch the sun rise over the river with a cup of coffee in the morning to wishing we had enough energy left in the evening after a day of shopping to have a drink at the local pubs in the evening. It is very apparent that Drew and Sarah take immense pride in their property and go above and beyond to insure you have an enjoyable stay. We can’t thank you enough for providing us with a spectacular experience!

Have traveled the world this is one of the BEST.

My daughter and I came to Maine for my birthday. The VRBO rental located on Water Street was flawless and exceeded our expectations. Beautifully appointed, Spotlessly clean, cozy and wonderful beds, bedding and pillows. Fun being right on the main street and walkable to most everything. The hosts were so accommodating, wish they had places all over the world. One recommendation is a tv on the kitchen level, I like tv. But the tv area upstairs is simply wonderful, so cozy. Views are delightful and river path is close and great.

Over the years, we’ve enjoyed sharing “Maine’s Smallest City” with family and friends. We look forward to welcoming new friends, so they too can fall in love our charming home.
