The Essentials: We provide high-speed Wi-Fi for your convenience, but we encourage you to leave the laptop closed and the notifications off.
Connection Over Consumption: We’ve traded the "noise" of multiple screens for a selection of board games, puzzles, and the best "show" in Maine, the view of Pocasset Lake right outside your door.
While the property does not feature an outdoor fire pit, you can still enjoy a cozy evening by the indoor, on demand propane fireplace, perfect for relaxing with a good book at the touch of a button.
Restorative Sleep: To ensure you wake up refreshed, the only HDTV in the home is tucked away in the primary suite for a quiet movie night before bed. Plush Linens: Fresh linens and soft towels are provided for every guest, so you can pack light and focus on the lake.

Things to Note:
Kayaks: We have a kayak and a canoe and assorted life jackets for use. A release form is required for use of kayaks.
While we strive to keep the cabin spotless, you're on the lake in a wooded area in central Maine, where even our best efforts can't keep every curious critter away. You may spot an insect or two indoors. Consider them your cabin companions here to complete the authentic lakeside experience!
Inclement Weather: We are in a quiet lakeside community and may experience brief power outages during storms. We have someone who plows the driveway, and shovels are provided for your convenience.

This is a beautiful, quiet location, and the cabin is well maintained. The grill worked well, the kitchen had everything we needed, and lots of towels were provided, even swim towels, which we didn't expect. There are three bedrooms with doors, though the last is a single pull out that was fine for our 20 year old daughter. The water at the end of the dock is about 3 feet deep, so it'd be a good spot for small children. With 2 kayaks and a canoe, we explored the coastline and saw loons and turtles. It's a short one mile walk into town, which has a few cute shops, great ice cream, and a farmer's market on Saturdays. Communication could be better. We never got the check-in instructions, so I messaged the owner 7 hours before we arrived and heard nothing. After a long drive, we spent 20 minutes waiting to get in as my call went to VM. When my call was returned they blamed me for not completing the kayak contract, so I offered to send a screen shot showing it was complete. We never got check-out instructions, either. When they get a handle on that end of the business it will be a near perfect experience!

This lake cottage was peaceful, serene and just plain magical! The screened porch was a wonderful cocoon from which we enjoyed views of the lake and wildlife while sipping coffee and eating meals. The binoculars provided came in handy when viewing the eagles, loons and the blue heron which fed at the shoreline. The towels were plush, the bed was comfy and the kitchen was well equipped. One issue we experienced with gaining entry to the building which stored life preservers and paddles was addressed rapidly by both the host and the property manager. We really enjoyed taking the canoe out and exploring both ends of the lake. The cottage was close to Tubby's where the service was welcoming and the ice cream was delicious. Our stay at this cottage was a memorable getaway-we hope to return.
