Welcome to Rustic Roy, nestled in Nisswa this delightful cabin on a quiet cul-de-sac road offers a tranquil retreat for guests. It sits on a double lot with almost 200 feet of shoreline. With 2 cozy bedrooms each featuring a Queen bed and a bunk bed - it's the perfect place for a wonderful getaway with family or friends. The cabin has a bathroom, spacious kitchen and cozy living room. The screened porch is amazing for night time gatherings. The Bunk House has the 3rd Bedroom and the 2nd Bathroom. The bedroom has a King bed. The bathroom with a vintage metal shower takes you back in time. It also has a small living room area.
The lakeside firepit patio is great for watching boats go by and making that perfect S'more. The beach area with kayaks and sand toys is a fun spot for the kids.
Roy lake is one of the most sought after lakes on the Gull Lake Chain with its clear water and sandy bottom. Immerse yourself in the magic of Nisswa at our charming cabin and create unforgettable memories.

Disclosure: There are 2 exterior security cameras, one covering the driveway and one covering the lake side yard.

There is a $200 Pet Fee. Please make sure to add your pet to your reservation.
The bunk house is seasonal and does not have a heating system, we do provide a heater for your use. It does have an air conditioning unit.

Lovely view, fantastic porch, great location

The view of the lake and the trees on the other side are pristine and gorgeous. The porch is fully screened, allowing you to feel like you're outside without any bugs. The owners were very responsive and accommodating. Above and beyond. We loved our stay here, and we'd recommend it to anyone!

Another beautiful Roy Lake Stay

Our hosts/cabin owners have made Rustic Roy a fantastic summer cabin experience. The small beach. The dock. The view of the lake. All of these add to the feeling of cabin magic.

Nisswa Cabin

This cabin was exactly what we were looking for! We stayed a week and it was very quiet with some boat and jet ski activity, which was to be expected. Fishing off the dock was good, very friendly neighbors

The lake was an enjoyable source of a lot of fun activities. My son and granddaughter fished from the dock and caught several fish. The grandkids were able to swim/play in the area of the lake next to the dock. And the older adults and grandkids took the kayaks out around the lake and dock. The Little Ones played in the sand with the toys that were provided. The area around the fire pit was relatively new. We built a fire and roasted marshmallows for Smores that everyone loved. And the cabin and accommodations were clean. We even found utensils for roasting the marshmallows and an air fryer for reheating some leftovers. If I were to list a negative - it was that the wall air conditioners were located in the bedrooms. The one conditioner woke up my grandson when it kicked in. Otherwise, we hadno complaints.

We rented this cabin in June and were very happy with it. It was a nice location, the small beach was great for small children as was the interior of the house. The third bedroom's location in a separate fully equipped bunkhouse was much appreciated, as were the fire pit, the screened porch with table and chairs to fit us all, the kayaks, and the (mostly) new fixtures and appliances. We would happily rent the same location again.

Family vacation

We took a family vacation with our four daughters and my mother. The property was perfect for our week. The bungalow gave us some extra space and we throughly enjoyed the screened in porch. Tara was always prompt with her replies and communication was great! I highly recommend their property!

Had a lot of fun gathering the family together to celebrate my birthday! Just to let others know, there is NO heat in the bunkhouse. They didn't note that in the description. Was pretty cold to get out of a shower and it's only 55 degrees in the bunk house. Other than that, we had a great time! My 8 yr old granddaughter caught 12 fish right off the dock! She had never caught any before, so that was awesome watching her excitement! The screened in deck was lovely with the soft lights and fire for roasting marshmallows when too cold and rainy to be down by the water. Was an overall great stay and we had a very nice time. If we needed something they did their best to provide. Thank you!

Fall break with family

Every year our family likes to rent a different cabin for Fall break, and my kids said this was the favorite one we have stayed at so far! The location is so dreamy being right on the lake and the views from the cabin are stunning! Tara was a great host and got back to me on several questions I had during our stay. The cabin is very well stocked, and even has a crockpot, an air fryer, and marshmallow roasting sticks. We really liked that we felt like we were on a getaway, and yet we were very close to any stores or restaurants we needed. We also were 40 minutes from Cuyuna where we went mountain biking two of the days that we were there. Wonderful time, we would definitely come back again!

Beautiful Property!

Adorable cabin and bunk house with everything you need for an enjoyable getaway. The large screened porch was our favorite place to enjoy the beautiful lake and fall colors. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful stay in Nisswa

Beautiful property! The house is amazing and well-equipped. We had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and plentiful for larger groups. What drew me most to the property were the large screened porch, lovely sloping yard, fire pit, and dock. I watched the birds and listened to the loons.

Made for relaxation

I would love to list a terrible review so that no one but us would get to rent the property again - but that would be untrue. The property was perfect, the view gorgeous, the hosts accommodating, fully stocked kitchen and linens, new appliances and laundry, plus a dock for our boat. A+++ Our adult son is in a wheelchair and has a service dog - not easy to accommodates but this property met all of his and our families needs. We couldn’t have enjoyed it more. Our adult kiddos joined us for two nights and are already looking at dates to return next summer.

Such a great time away

Rustic Roy was the perfect little getaway for our family! The cabin was so nice and had everything we needed. The porch was amazing. The location was fantastic being so close to downtown Nisswa and Schaefer’s. Tara was wonderful and so easy to communicate with. We will definitely be back!

Beat the heat on Roy Lake

We loved this fantastic lake cabin on a beautiful lake. We had “littles” and grandparents and the in-betweens and everyone enjoyed their week. Eating out on the screened in porch and kayaking in the sprinkles when the lake was like glass and listening to the loons, eagles, gulls and cranes made it magical. The owners have equipped the cabin with everything and made it so homey. That the lovely town of Nisswa was 5 minutes away was an added bonus! Next year seems too far away.
