Spacious apartment of 120 sqm (1,300 sq/ft) with garden in a villa located in a residential area of Arona. You will find a large living room with dining table, two double bedrooms, a spacious kitchen (with dishwasher) and a bathroom (with washing machine, shower and tub), all surrounded by a 1,500 sqm garden (4 acres) and bbq area.
Private indoor parking available for cars and a garage for motorcycles and bicycles (tools available for small repairs). Double independent entrance.
Located at a 10 minutes’ walk from the city centre, at a 10 minutes’ drive from highway next exit and 70 km far from Milan, our house is the ideal starting point for hiking tours, cultural visits, shopping and relax on the beaches on Lake Maggiore. The boats to reach the magnificent Borromean Islands and the mystic convent in Santa Caterina del Sasso leave from Arona.
You can reach Arona even by train (railway station 1 km far from the house): our town is on the line Milan-Domodossola and is an important junction for the trains to Switzerland.
Arriving at Malpensa Airport, you can get to Arona by shuttle bus.

ARAUCARIA HOUSE & GARDEN is a villa built in 1955 by Lorenzo’s grandfather who has always lived here with his family.
If its walls could speak, they would tell you about an old-fashioned living, characterised by crowded lunches with typical traditional recipes, especially from Piacenza, where grandma Dolores, a superlative cook, came from.
Many of the plants in our garden, among which the imposing Araucaria which gives its name to our house, were planted by our grandparents, in order to remember a new born in the family or special events, such as the crooked pine called Kennedy, which grandpa Gianpiero planted soon after the US President’s assassination.
Today, ARAUCARIA is a house combining memories with modern equipment: from furniture to services, it is the right place where you can spend a relaxing holiday on Lake Maggiore.
We are art, nature and outdoor life fans, for this reason we will be able to recommend you the best destinations for your tours; but we are also fond of good wine and food, so please ask us for the best locals where you can taste typical Italian food.
