Academy Place | Marsh Marigold

Academy Place Marsh Marigold is one of our beautiful townhomes located in the multiplex building around the Academy Place Courtyard. Academy Place is just a short walk from bus stops, Elk Avenue, and the grocery store. It is located just across the street from Crested Butte’s new Center for the Arts, with wonderful events to attend. Because it is placed back from the road, Marsh Marigold has incredible views to the west of Mt. Crested Butte, both from the primary bedroom and from the rooftop patio. Construction finished in 2025, meaning this building is equipped with extremely up-to-date appliances and furnishings, ready for your use!

When you walk in the front door, Marsh Marigold has a living/dining space with a large television, counter space for additional seating, and a powder room tucked out of the way. Across from the entrance, Marsh Marigold has a fully equipped kitchen with full sized appliances and cookware, including a large refrigerator, espresso machine, drip coffee machine, dishwasher, microwave, wine fridge, and dual-sided sink. The counter space is ample for your cooking needs, and the kitchen is stocked with cookware such as pots, pans, dishes, large bowls, etc. Upstairs, the primary suite has a large king bed with views of Mt. Crested Butte, a walk-in closet, and an expansive bathroom featuring a soaking tub and a steam shower. One more flight upstairs is where you will find the rooftop patio with a private hot tub and grill, with outdoor furniture from which to enjoy the incredible views. Downstairs you will find the remaining two bedrooms, one with a king bed and the other with the queen/twin bunk bed. The washer and dryer is also located downstairs, as well as an additional full bathroom.

Marsh Marigold as compared to the other Academy Place units is identical in layout to Wild Iris. The main differences are that Marsh Marigold is one unit closer to the alley rather than the road, and that Marsh Marigold’s rooftop patio has a wall on one side that belongs to the penthouse unit (Glacier Lily), while Wild Iris’ patio is between this one and Larkspur’s. Larkspur has the same layout as well, though it is on the end of the building so it has more windows but is closer to the road. Because it is a townhome, Marsh Marigold has the stunning rooftop patio that the cottages do not, and has access to views unseen from the cottages. The cottages are preferable to those that would like their own unit to themselves, and they have an additional bathroom to allow for ensuite bathrooms for each bedroom. It really comes down to your personal preference, and every choice will result in a wonderful stay!
